Have Acrobat 7.0 Pro then Downloaded Reader 9 - old docs cannot be modified now
I can create and save docs with Acrobat as normal.
When saved documents are opened, it is opened by the new reader and I lose all of the functions of Acrobat.
Am I therefore forced to buy the Acrobat Update to version 9 or is there a fix so that I retain the Acobat functionality but can use the new Reader 9?
I downloaded the new reader because I was unable to open some pdf files online with my old reader - that took care of the problem but caused the above problem.

michael adobe has a real problem (adobe 9.1.1) i ran the that program to uninstall 9.1.1 and it no longer shows in add/remove but it is still on my pc. i google'd adobe and found the above. i tried removeing adobe flash and my anti virus poped up warning me flash is attempting to copy it's self to multiple locations on my computer.
i qurinteened it and now add/remove says it is still there and when i try to remove it says it will remove from my add/remove list but not my computer
any idea how to get adobe's attention they got a problem. search the web. a whole lot of people have been hit only worded a little different

First, back up all data immediately, as your boot drive might be failing.

If you have many image or video files on the Desktop with preview icons, move them to another folder.

I'm trying to get the report that I need to be filtered by a parameter value (named Param1)
I created a parameter in the data tab and tried to pass a value from my Web application to the report services.. now my report have that textbox that prompts me to enter the filtering value for the report I want.. everything works fine till this point..
now I have another webpage that has a report viewer and a textbox for the user input the value they want.. and pass it to the report.. and I'm using the following code to pass the value to the report I made earlier..

I struggled with the same problem in VS 2010.
After a long series of hoops to jump through, I modified the rdlc file by hand and added <Prompt>true</prompt>. This parameter cannot be set through the GUI - go figure.
In my case, I was attempting to generate a sub report, and pass a parameter to the sub report.
To get this to work, the sub report needed these two sections.

</ReportParameters>

I was then able to use the name "Network_Id" in the sub-report properties of the "sub report control" for the name of a parameter on the parameters tab. I then set it to the key value that I need in the subreport properties dialog.
Prior to setting prompt to true, I kept getting the read-only exception.
I'm not sure if I am being clear about this, but sub reports do work, and prompt can be manually added to the report definition file. -

data depending on whether or not the user has access. We would not like it to be accessible from the URL. The report has drill-through functionality where the user can click a link and the report is filtered on certain criteria. This seems
to work fine in SSRS 2005, but since i have upgraded the report to SSRS 2012, I am getting the error on the drill-through:

In Reporting Services, if you create a hidden parameter, you can set values for it on a report URL or in a subscription definition. If you set a parameter to Internal, it is not exposed in any way except in the report definition. An internal parameter must
have a default value, which can be null if the Allow null value option has been selected. Internal Parameters are not configurable by the end-user at run-time.
In your scenario, I suggest you changing internal parameter to hidden parameter to check whether the issue persists.

Since you seem to have tried mostly everything, apart from exchanging the motherboard, I'd say you have at least one option left, and that's to reinstall Windows from the recovery partition / recovery discs. That might solve the problem, if this is due to a software-error. General updates etc. might not work to fix such problems, but a clean install should.
If that doesn't help, I'd say the problem is somewhere either with the CPU or the motherboard, maybe bad connections or some sort of malfunction that prevents the computer from coming out of the 100% CPU usage.

Why do you have the nVidia CUDA drivers installed on your nMP? It doesn't have any CUDA hardware on it. That's what Pr is tripping over.
Remove CUDA. Kill it with fire. Nuke it from orbit.

Windows 8: Make PDFs open by default in Acrobat Standard or Pro instead of Reader
In a Windows 8 environment, how can you set set all PDFs to open in Acrobat Standard or Professional instead of Reader? I've tried right-clicking on a PDF in Windows Explorer, selecting Properties, then changing the default app from Reader to Professional. Although it seems to work (does not generate an error), PDFs continue to open in Reader. Surely there is a way to change this. I've spent about 15 minutes Googling this, but was surprised I could find no solution.

There's a lot of that going around lately (hard drive crashes). Sorry to hear that!
It sounds like you've reached the maximum activations allowed, and because your hard drive crashed, of course you can't deactivate the copy that was installed there. But don't worry--Customer Care should be able to take care of that deactivation for you. Please Contact Customer Care.

You should back them up before re-installing Windows. The user data is stored in the profile folder. You can copy the data manually by copying the contents of the profile folder, for details see [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_backup Profile backup - MozillaZine Knowledge Base] or [[Backing up your information]].
There are some add-ons and utilities that can make this process easier. The first one is the [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2109/ FEBE] add-on which can be used to copy a profile. Another option is the free [http://mozbackup.jasnapaka.com/ MozBackup] utility.
