Have Alerts been moved from mx.controls?

I copy and pasted this import mx.controls.Alert; from: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/flex/using/WS2db454920e96a9e51e63e3d11c0bf69084-7da0.html
Why? because everytime I typed inimport mx.controls.Alert give me the error: The import Alert could not be found.
And in fact even copying and pasting that peice of code from the web site I still get the same error....
So I ask, its it not apart of the mx.controls package?

I have tried everything I could to fix this, but some things require actually being on Firefox, and since I cannot get on, I cannot click on the tabs to do it. I have removed things like Java, and that has not helped either. If I cannot even get on line in firefox, how can I fix this. I am not crazy about using internet explorer, but right now, it is my only option. I even tried to start in safe mode, and the same message box pops up!

How were you syncing contacts? If you still had the iPhone 4 connected and the 6 at the same time, then you may have made a fatal mistake. I'm guessing that you were using a cloud service for your contacts?

I experienced this issue as well.
Background:
I had opened an ICS attachment for a repeating event on my iPhone, which added the item to my phone's calendar. I did not have the option to delete the calendar entry from my phone, and the item did not appear on the calendar on my Mac. My phone is currently running iOS 7 (but the problem began quite awhile ago; I don't recall which version of iOS was installed when it started).
Solution (summary):
Create a new calendar, move the items that you wish to delete to the new calendar, then delete the new calendar
Solution (detailed steps):
Create a new calendar
On your phone, open the calendar app
Tap the "Calendars" option at the bottom of the screen
Tap the "Edit" button in the top left corner
Scroll to the bottom of the list and tap the "Add Calendar..." option
Give your new calendar a good name, such as "Delete me"
Tap "Done" in the top right corner to save the new calendar
Tap "Done" in the top left corner to finish editing the list of calendars
Tap "Done" to exit the list of calendars
Assign all calendar entries that you wish to delete to the calendar you created in step 1
Tap a calendar entry that you wish to delete
Tap the "Edit" button in the top right corner
Scroll down until you see the Calendar field (on an iPhone or iPod it's usually just below the bottom of the screen), then tap the Calendar field to bring up the list of available calendars
Tap the name of the calendar that you created in step 1 (e.g. "Delete me"); the screen should return to the main calendar entry page
Tap "Done" in the top right corner of the screen. You may need to then tap the "< Day" button on the top left of the screen to return to the main calendar view
Repeat the instructions in step 2 for each of the calendar entries that you wish to delete
Delete the calendar that you created in step 2 (this will delete all calendar entries assigned to this calendar)
From the main screen in the calendar app, tap the "Calendars" option at the bottom of the screen
Tap the "Edit" button in the top left corner
Tap the entry for the calendar that you created in step 2 (e.g. "Delete me")
Scroll to the bottom of the scren and tap the "Delete Calendar" option. You should be prompted with a warning that explains that "All events associated with this calendar will also be deleted."
If you're sure that the only items on this calendar are items that you wish to delete, tap the "Delete Calendar" button
Tap "Done" in the top right corner to exit the Edit Calendars screen
Tap "Done" to exit the list of calendars. You should now be back at the main view of the calendars app
Rejoice, your pesky repeating calendar events have been deleted
At this point all of the items that you assigned to the deleted calendar should be gone
Repeat the steps above for any entries that you missed

Yaourt and packages that have been moved from AUR to community

Well first off, why does yaourt even wanna build the package if it has been removed? I did a search in the AUR and all I see is stress 1.0.0-1. I thought I read somewhere that yaourt is a wrapper for pacman and therefor would search the repositories before it searches the AUR for the program?

This doesn't seem right to me either... is it just me or should yaourt be informed on where stress has gone if it has been removed from AUR and not just leave yaourt open ended with a basic error?

but yaourt thinks it should be a package in AUR. But I presume this should be added functionality in yaourt to work like pacman?

yes, that fixed it. never thought about updating AUR packages.
would be alright to add something like this to .bashrc to make this whole process a one time command?
alias pac-update="yaourt -Syyu | yaourt -Su --aur"
the answer to this ^^^ is NO, because the second command locks the database. U would need a way to tell it to pause until the first command finished, then issue the second command. I quite frankly do not understand enough of linux bash programming to accomplish that ATM.

Error Message - Project is missing or has been removed from version control

All of a sudden, the SharePoint RoboHelp version control "link" stopped connecting to the team's local versions. Now, once we logout of RH, we have to redownload the SP version to our computers in order to continue working. We are on RoboHelp 10 and did not have this issue previously. We do not know what may have triggered it (perhaps an enterprise deployment of new security software?). Any thoughts or ideas on how to re-establish and MAINTAIN the version control connection?

Broken Links in iTunes - files have not been moved

Hi,
I'm running iTunes on my XP machine. I have about 10,000 tracks in my library. Every so often (well quite often nowadays) I get a load of tracks that have the exclamation mark next to them saying the file can't be found. I have not moved any of the tracks. When I double click ont he first offending track it asks if I want to locate it. I click OK, and it presents the folder where the file actually is (and always has been!) I then have to go through the rest of my library - each track with an exclamation mark just needs to be double clicked and it miraculously remembers where the file is!
OK, so the questions are:
1) Why is iTunes forgetting the locations of files that haven't moved? I'm guessing there might be some issue with the iTunes Music Library.xml - but I ahve no idea what.
2) Can I stop it happening? Obviously the best solution is to dump windows and buy a mac - which will be happening in a month or so...
3) If I can't stop it happening, is there a way for iTuens to just show me the broken links so that I can go through the double-clicking process easily?
4) If I delete the library and recreate, will iTuens remember things like bespoke artwork, ratings, etc?
Any help would be appreciated.

Actually, this is exactly what you can do with the XML file. Prior to iTunes 5.0, importing the XML did not capture rating, playcounts, etc. even though the data was written to the XML file. Since then, you can recreate your Library completely by importing the XML file.
A while ago I performed two tests:
a) One where I deleted the total song references from the Library, then 'imported' the XML file (from a previously saved iteration)
b) The other, I opened iTunes with no Library database to start, forcing it to act like a new install, then imported the XML file
In both cases, the XML file was completely read, including Ratings, Play Counts and Last Played attributes. All playlists (both Smart & Static) were recreated in their proper folders. It seems to have recreated the Library almost as well as the ITL file would. Looks as if iTunes v6.0.1 (and later) now reads and uses the complete XML file upon 'import'.
I say 'almost', as there were settings differences when starting from a 'virgin' iTunes. Also (and this is important), the create/load time when using the XML file was severely long. iTunes needed to read, interpret, and act on the information within the XML file and that took a long time. At that time, I had close to 12,000 song references and over two dozen playlists. Using a 'good' backup ITL file is an almost instantaneous fix.
Bottom line: Either file will work in recreating the Library. A backup ITL file, in my opinion, is still the easiest and fastest way to recreate your Library if one has a choice. In some cases, where one cannot place the music into the correct path for the ITL file to work properly, one can globally change the XML file to reflect the new path and use that for a very close approximation. I would suggest making and archiving legacy copies of both files a big part of your backup strategy (along with the music files, of course).

Is there a way to recover messages after they've been moved from local folders to an IMAP account, which deleted them after they were moved?

I was trying to get Thunderbird to access my Hotmail account through IMAP instead of POP, so I moved all my messages from the account to "Local Folders", then I removed the POP account and created the new IMAP one. After that I started to move messages into the IMAP account, but I ran into some trouble when the server wouldn't want to accept all the messages I was uploading and it would stop.
So, I decided to move everything from "Local Folders" into the IMAP account while Thunderbird was offline, once it finished, I went online and instead of uploading the newly found messages in my IMAP account to the server, it decided to delete the messages. I guess because the actual online account contained no files so it wanted to synchronise and make my offline folder to also contain no files.
In short, never try this. It's a disaster. And, I know I should've made a back up prior to trying this, it's just that Thunderbird is usually very reliable, it never occurred to me.
I still have the MBOX and MSF files, but even though they contain information, no extension can extract it.
Could anyone, please, help me out?

I had tried using that very same extension right after messing things up, but it hadn't worked because I deleted the original folders as well.
Then I tried doing a System Restore (luckily, Windows had decided to do an automatic one the night before), but still the missing emails weren't showing.
A while after that I saw your suggestion and it hit me that I had not tried it after doing the System Restore, so I tried it and all messages were flooding back just like magic.

Iphoto began running slow right after the last update. I'm working with raw files. when I have an open moving from photo to photo some times it slows way down, Never did prior to last update. Thanks

iphoto is running slow at times. This never happened until I installed the the last update. The program gets slow when I have an event open moving with the arrows back and forth. It doesn't make a difference in full screen or smaller

Try this: launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and create a new, test library. Import a number of raw image files and test to see if the same problem persists.

Navigation button on wrong side of screen!!!!! To scroll, I have to keep moving from side to side to go back and scroll. Move the back button to the right side!!!!

I should be able to navigate back and forward using a button on the right side of the screen. This is where I scroll up and down from so doesn't it make sense to have the back and forward button there!!!

I cant see any purchase history on my account after updating the software and installing itunes on a new PC. Why have they been wiped from my account?

My laptop died on me and I have just got a new one. I installed itunes and updated my phone software, but now all the Apps are missing and i cant see them in my account as purchased to re-download.
There is no purchase history when i view my account information, can anyone explain what has happened?

If you have more than one account, you have to log in to the one that was used to purchase those apps.

Backups don't restore your apps. You need to sync your device with iTunes to get your apps
