Have an 8800 and need help

Hi,
I have an 8800 and need help. The charger socket doesn't work anymore, the trackball doesn't go horizontal (occassionally) and the screen light turns on and off at random. I've had my Blackberry less than a year.
Before sending it in for repair or replacement I need to back up all my data (apparently it gets cleared when a repair is done) so ordered a cradle and spare battery so I cound charge a batter externally. To compound the problem I keyed in the wrong postcode on the order (it never rains but it pours) but quickly mailed billing to tell them and with the correct PO number.
Needless to say the items haven't arrived so I called and was fobbed off and told that this is a matter for their partner Globalware Solutions even though I paid via the Blackberry.co.uk website
I've scoured the site and found no contact details whatsoever by which I can follow this up properly (Why do large companies do that? Are their customers not important enough to them to allow direct contact?).
Rim/Blackberry/Globalware now have my money and have ignored all my emails. In other words I have no way of finding out the status of the order, what's happening or where my required items are.
On top of that one of the email addresses I mailed to bounced and this site is a nightmare to use. If you're going to want a capital letter and a number of part of a password to access a forum then tell people in advance. If you're not going to let someone buy in Euros from the UK because you don't consider the UK as part of Europe then tell them. Don't let them go through the entire purchase process before letting them get to the Euopean drop down list of countries and then not including the UK in it. I could go on.
Can someone please tell me how I chase up my order (it's only a small one) without wasting too much more time on this.
I have to say that this is all a great shame because I've been happily using Blackberries for years now and think they're superb products. I've been an evangelist for them actively spreading the word about how great they are. I've never needed service or support before though.
If anyone from Blackberry, Rim or Globalware is reading this then you have my order number and just an email would at least begin to resolve this. The delivery of the items paid for would entirely resolve it.  I wait for your contact.
One thing you should know if you wish to continue to ignore me though is that I am 'Mr Persistent'.

Thanks. I remember now that is exactly what they said. Which means I need to do it over again.
Here's what happened. I went to my laptop to try restoring since it was my desktop that was giving me the message. I was able to install the newest OS onto my iPhone. Then I reconnected the phone to my desktop, which now gave me a different message. It said it could not sync with this iPhone until I updated to the newest version of iTunes. I was one version behind.
So I updated and then since my iPhone had the newest OS and iTunes had the newest version, everything spoke to each other fine. At that point I got the message asking me to whether I wanted to restore from backup or set up as new.
I thought that restoring from backup would potentially bring back the problem, but discretion being the better part of valor decided to try that first.
Woke up this morning to your message and of course now realize that I must go through the process again, only this time set up as new. And yes I made sure to back everything up before I did any of this.
So now it's just a matter of doing it again, which will have to wait until tonight when I don't need to use my phone.

    I recently bought an iPod mini and have downloaded the iTunes to put music onto my iPod. This is on my main computer. Now I want to carry all of these songs over into my library which is empty onto my labtop and continue to put songs onto it. I have already downloaded iTunes for my labtop and everytime I go to plug in my iPod, iTunes opens automaticly and this message appears The iPod is linked to another iTunes music library. Do you want to change the link to this iTunes music library and replace all existing songs and playlists on this iPod with those from this library? I click no and this is wear I am at.     If you want to use the iPod with more than one computer, you need to change to manual transfer as outlined here.

    phone has passcode and is not wanntig to restore and have forgotten the passcode. i dont have the original computer i was using so i followed the forums and i am back were i have started.

    All you can do is follow the instructions in the article you have attached to your post. Follow the instructions under "If you have never synced your device with iTunes", since you have never synced with iTunes on the computer you are attempting to restore it on.
    We can do no more to help you here. The article tells you exactly what you need to do.

    Hi everyone, I am a flash noob and I have a problem I hope you can help me with. I have a interactive haunted house im working on (www.chuckies.webs.com) and I have a script (actionscript 2) that works with the mouse. it scrolls the screen left and right with the movement of the mouse. it works wonderful but my problem is that everytime I go to the edge of the flash movie it doesnt stop,  I get black background that shows. is that a settings issue? i have the flash html settings as 100% when exported. I will post pictures here in a bit, i was just hoping if somebody knew off the top of there head what the problem was.     Hi I just wanted to update this post and tell everyone what the problem was. I changed the "scale" settings under publish settings to "exact fit" and lined up my movie up to the upper right corner and it works like a charm and the black border is gone on the sides.
    I also included this code in the body of my html page which removes the 10mm border on top and bottom of the web page. any questions just ask.

    I'm working in all of the latest software.
    Long story short. Itunes is on my startup drive but I had my music folder on a larger external HD.
    It was selected in the prefs as the default media folder location.
    Unfortunately, the external HD with my music folder crashed / died.
    So now when I launch itunes and try to play a song i get the original file could not be found. I also see at some point that my default location for media has changed back to the default location in itunes and about 1/4 of my 9000 songs are in that folder on the startup drive.
    Now I was able to recover my music folder that was on the external drive through Time machine thankfully and it is on another internal drive.
    My question is this.
    I want to move the original external Music folder to a larger external drive and combine the music folder that ended up on my startup drive holding the 1/4 amount of content and keep all media on that new large external drive. How should I proceed to get this all working in itunes and avoid a bigger problem than I already have, multiple listings, cover art, ect.

    1) option drag the folder containing the music files from the external A to an open iTunes window. this will cause iTunes to index the path to the original file (on external A) but not copy the files "physically".
    same tab, be sure +keep iTunes media folder organized+ and +copy files to+ ... are checked.
    2) connect external B (the larger drive) to your Mac. point iTunes to that drive via preferences > advanced.
    3) in iTunes, go file > library > organize library and check +consolidate files+. hit ok.
    now all files known to iTunes will be copied to the external B. when finished, the "original" files may be deleted (or kept as a back up).

    Check carefully. Perhaps you are trying to copy 9 GB plus 1.3 GB for a total of 10.3 GB. That would give you the message you see.

    Connect the iOS device to your computer and try to make a backup

    Then restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased. Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode if necessary to allow the restore.
    If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

    If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

    I think it must be an IMAP account then, & in Mail>Preferences>Accounts>Advanced>Keep copies for Offline viewing:>Don't keep copies, then on the Server, or maybe it's just this one itself, but on the Server you have a setting to remove eMails after 30 days.
    If it's a POP account we'd have to investigate that... but you didn't say so I'm guessing here.

    The way that Dropbox works is that it keeps a copy of all your files in your local Dropbox folder on your hard drive (which is, by default, directly under your home folder). Adding files to that folder will sync them to the Dropbox server.
    You do of course have to download the Dropbox application to enable this (download link at the top right of http://dropbox.com ).

    Yep, i just did it again. The entire scroll-bar widget, complete with formatted text, graphics, etc., pasted itself nicely in another book. Two different files, the same widget.
    I use the scroll-bar widgets for most of my texts. (I have audio buttons on the side, and the scripts are within the widget, to the side). My only text is within widgets, and text boxes, naturally. 
    I am following your recommendation: cleaning files, etc. I am remaking the book anew. I need to convince the EPUB bot or whatever that my file looks and works nicely on all my devices. You would expect an error message when previewing the book: 'Hey Amigo, your file is flawed, stop working on it, and get back to the drawing board." Should be able to try again next Monday.
