Have an iPhone 3GS, and it will not restore. It says (-1) error and won't restore. I updated to iOS 5.0.1, and have the latest version of iTunes. Every time I plugged my phone in last week it would crash and I would have to connect it to iTunes. Help!
Last week I updated my iTunes, updated to iOS 5.0 and ever since I did this my phone has been going nuts. Any time I plug it into a charger I get a screen that tells me I need to connect to iTunes. I have had to restore it multiple times in order for it to work.
I've tried doing resets, restoring to factory-everything that I can find online to do. I've spoken with ATT tech support and done everything they've said to do regarding my greyed out wifi, my phone only working on 3G, and other issues.
The first iPhone 3GS I got had a defective camera, so ATT replaced it free of charge. I've had this one for a year, and quite frankly cannot afford a new one.
If anyone knows anything I can do to fix it, I would really appreciate it.
11.1 is now the most recent iTunes. Downloading it may take a bit since everyone got hit today with the need to update their iTunes on the very same day the iOS update came out and you have to update iTunes to update the iOS.
YOu should still be able to charge it without updating iTunes.

I have an IPAD 3 and recently updated the IOS software with the latest version and now video from some sites will not display where it did prior to the update. When I go to those same sites on my other IPAD that I did not do the softward update the video still works. Any idea why and what to do to fix it?
Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. Itunes will not restore or update any ios device
i have a mac running osx mountain lion, and i have the latest itunes available. Whenever I try to update or restore any of my devices (iphone, ipad) i always get an error 3004, -1, and multiple other errors. I try to change the hosts file to the default but I cannot even though i am the administrator of the mac, and it does not allow me to save any changes.
I have used jailbreaking software and i think they changed the hosts file. I really need this fixed, thanks.Also my computer is really slow for some reason, i think it may have a virus, but im not too sure, it has been like this for a long time, even accross updates.

I have always been able to create playlists on itunes, then drag them to my ipod when it is plugged into the mac. I recently downloaded the latest version of itunes, and now am unable to do that. I can drag songs and albums to the ipod, but not my playlists. It used to be so easy, am I missing something here?
Plug your iPod into your computer, it will begin to sync. Now check to see if the playlists have been added.
If not, go to the songs tab under your iPod when it is connected to iTunes, Unless you have checked "Sync all songs (or something to those words)" you should have an option on what you can put on your iPod. Make sure to check the playlists that you want on your iPod. -
Anyone else having issues with third party changers saying "this accessory not supported". I get it every time I plug my phone. It only started after the iOS 7 update?
That's because part of iOS7 had code in it to look for and recognize unsigned cables.
In other words, Apple knew that people used non-signed ones and didn't care....until last month when they decided to care. People with iOS6 and lower should experience no issues (unless Apple patches those iOS versions) but folks with iOS7 will need to deal with it. -
I can not sync my IPhone to My Imac. I have the latest version of ITunes on my Imac. I have tried reseting my phone (3), changing ports. Nothing works. I was thinking maybe my phone has the earlier version of ITunes but I can't update it.

I just bought a nano and am trying to sync to itune on my mac. It tells me I need the latest version of itune. When I try to download this it tells me I need a new OS. I have updated both and my nano still will not sync. Any suggestions?
Numbers documents from iOS need Numbers 3.2 on a Mac to open. And Numbers 3.2 requires Mavericks. If you are using Mavericks you can get Numbers 3.2 from the Mac App Store. It will be free IF you have Numbers 2 (iWork '09) installed. Otherwise you must buy it.
Your other option is to send the Numbers file as an Excel file via e-mail to yourself to open with an earlier version of Numbers. -

I have the iphone 4s. Ive tried to update my phone & its stuck on the connect to itunes screen. Ive tried to even restore my phone then update & i still have a error for both of them. After downloading the latest version of iTunes and updating my iPhone, everytime I turn on my computer I receive a message that reads: "AppleSyncNotifier.exe - Entry Point Not Found. Yes. I just solved the problem on my PC. Here goes...
Issue: My Windows7 computer was producing the pop up box with the error text as you described.
The Problem: You have another application on your computer that uses the like named .DLL file... in this case a DLL supporting SQLite on your local PC.
Solution:
1. You need to use the Windows File search feature to look for the name "SQLite". This will quickly locate the offending DLL in the other application.
2. Decide which program you like the most, in my case "Mobile Me", and uninstall the offending application.
3. Uninstall Mobile Me.
4. Restart your PC.
5. Reinstall Mobile Me.
6. Mobile Me should sync at this point, but if not, restart the PC once again.
In my case, the offending program was my Aptana Studio development application. I had recently the SQLite3 database to my Ruby On Rails configuration...
This is where the file was located:
C:\Users\<USERNAME>\Aptana Studio 2.0\plugins\com.aptana.radrails.sqlite3.win32_3.5.7.1278709071\vendor\SQLite3.d ll
