Have apple tv on Mac but not working on PC
Have Apple TV on Mac and sees it but now loaded itunes on PC and it cann ot see it. Can I only have the apple TV seen on 1 computer?. PC running windows 7, Please help
no it should work
if I were you I'd first get the sharedLib on the mac avaible on the pc
then I would get the sharedLib on the pc avaible on the mac
when you managed that the appletv should have no problems
but for troubleshooting it's easier to keep out of the equetion
most likely it's a setup issue on your pc with itunes, firewall or the apple services not running correctly

I'm going to assume that since you deleted your hard drive and all its files, you had a backup, yes? If the backup has an OS (bootable clone), then you can boot into it by holding down the option key when you start up you iMac and choose the backup drive. Then use Carbon Copy Cloner or Super Duper to copy the files back to your iMac.

Thanks for the question. I understand that you are experiencing issues with your iPhone 4. To completely isolate the issue, you may want to follow these steps:
Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
1. Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
2. Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion.
Learn about LCIs and corrosion.
3. Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
4. After at least 15 minutes, if:
- The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen. Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
- The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
- Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
5. If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.
- If the display turns on, go to step 4.
- If the display remains black, go to next step.
6. Connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes. If iTunes recognizes the iPhone and indicates that it is in recovery mode, attempt to restore the iPhone. If the iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes or if you have difficulties in restoring the iPhone, see this article for further assistance.
7. If restoring the iPhone resolved the issue, go to step 4. If restoring the iPhone did not solve the issue, seek service.
My issue is still not resolved. What do I do next?

Apple ID reset accepted but not working
My administrator password for my iMac has stopped working. I am locked out. During log in a pop up appeared saying I can reset the password
via my Apple ID.
I tried but my Apple ID didnt work either.
Using my PC laptop I managed to reset Apple ID and have received confirmation from Apple Customer |Support that this has been done.
Back to my iMac which I have restarted and have the log in screen.
Unfortunately my new Apple ID still will not work and therefore I am unable to use to help in resetting my password to get into my iMac.
I have used my sign in password since I bought the iMac a couple of years ago. All OK until today. Bit of a mystery-hope someone can help.

This is a big issue. I have also been receiving these reset emails today (3). Since it is not coming from my regular email address or my alternate email address it means that somebody had already access to my account and is trying to reset my password because he/she doesn't have the answers to my security questions and thus can send a reset email to a third (!!!) email address that he/she would not see at any other place.

I was using our company API tokbox SDK to do the servers test between two machines. I blocked one machine ipfw to test the server connection. However, our server connection works well when we are using two mac firefox browser, but not succeed when we were using one windows and one mac machine.

Agree on cables, you don't want something generic when it comes to thunderbolt in my experience. It's thos accessories that add up and they are profitable for a reason. Cheap isn't always good with accessories.

Flash installed successfully on Mac but not working

I am going round and round in circles here. I tried to use Sky Sports Score Centre at the weekend and received the following message 'You need flash player 9 or greater to view this content. You can download the latest flash player plugin here.
I had never uninstalled Flash, but I upgraded regardless. During initial installations I kept getting a message to close Safari even through Safari was already closed. I googled the issue and have gone through many cycles of deinstalling and reinstalling and clearing caches etc etc
Anyway, now I have successfully managed to install the latest version of Flash, but when I go to use a site that uses Flash, it won't work. I get the same message as above about needing Flash 9 or greater
Seriously painful as it's impacting children's games websites also which means I now have less peace and quiet!! (Flonga, CBBC etc)
Can anyone help resolve this once and for all?

Installed the latest flash player version for safari on mac but not working
I have installed the latest version of flash player as prompted by facebook. when i go to use it, facebook keeps telling me to install the new update. Please help. I am running Safari version 6.0.5. I have run the install a couple of times, it says installation is complete. But Facebook keeps prompting me to upgrade. I have installed, shutdown the computer and restarted but yet I still get this message.
Tested with FF6 beta. MouseCursors do show again

Welcome to the Apple Community.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")
Providing you are simply updating your existing details and not changing to another account, when you delete your account, all the data that is synced with iCloud will also be deleted from the device (but not from iCloud), but will be synced back to your device when you login again.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your computer, you need to sign out of the account from your computer first, then sign back in using your updated details. (System Preferences > iCloud, click the sign out button) -
I have a new keyboard and two of the keys are inverted when I use my Mac -- but not when they put that keyboard on the Mac at the Apple Store. The @ is where the < should be and visa-versa. That is, when I type the @ I get < and when I type the < I get @. I am in Français numérique. Thanks
Try a SMC reset, please do it 2-3 times.
SMC RESET
Shut down the computer.
Unplug the computer's power cord and all peripherals.
Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds.
Release the power button.
Attach the computers power cable.
Press the power button to turn on the computer.
PRAM RESET
Shut down the computer.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command, Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys. You must press this key combination before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
Release the keys. -
I-pod touch works on a Mac but not a PC
Please help! My I-pod touch works on a Mac but not a PC. When hooked up to a PC, the device is not recognized in I-tunes message, says I-pod in recovery mode and to restore, after checking update and restore, receive unknown error message (9). Have tried unistaling and reinstalling I-tunes, using different USB ports, creating new user, restarting computer, using different PC, and trying to reset by holding sleep/wake and home buttons all to no avail, very, very frustrated, everything is fine on a Mac!!
I have CA Internet Security Suite Plus 2010, version 6.0.0.264.
I was wondering about that one in particular.

Need to know your Mac model. If it's a PowerPC, the max OS is Leopard 10.5.x. If it's an Intel procesor, you can upgrade to Snow Leopard (for $29) & later to Lion.

On starting up my new iPhone 4s, it freezes on the apple logo. I have tried the reset buttons trick and have tried restoring again too but neither works. Any other ideas? Or is the phone simply corrupt in some way?
Did you try to connect in recovery mode and restore without using the latest backup?

If setting up as new device does not work, you'll have to get it serviced or looked at by visiting an Apple Store.
Did you try to remove the ipsw firmware file and restore, to make iTunes download a new copy from Apple?

iTunes uses "ipsw" files to restore your iPod or iPhone. If those files are unusable, then try deleting them, renaming them, or moving the file to a different directory. This will cause iTunes to download a new copy of the IPSW. When a restore issue is specific to a user, it is likely due to an unusable .ipsw file. If removing the .ipsw file does not resolve a user-specific restore issue, then the issue is caused by other user-specific security software settings or iTunes preferences. Creating a new user will also cause new .ipsw restore files to be downloaded in the new user. You can find the ".ipsw" files in these locations:
