Have been trying for almost an hour and half to get someone to answer in chat and have been passed over a few times. Cannot access my work profile after I downloaded 4.0 yesterday. Keeps saying I'm offline but I'm not and the box is unchecked. Have tried restart several times, re-install several times to no avail. Haven't gotten help in chat nor answers here. But I need to use it for work. Worked perfectly in 3. ,ost recent. HELP!!!
Thank you for offering. To the extent possible, I removed all impediments to Firefox from Symantec Endpoint Protection which is what my university uses along with Cisco Clean Agent where I also removed impediments. The problem was not solved. I continue not to be able to use one of my two profiles (the more important one) since I downloaded 4.0 yesterday. Worked fine with 3. every update since 3.0. I still get the same message about being offline and unchecking the box which has never been checked. Still searching for a remedy.
Don't know enough to find which part of the Firefox program in the C drive program files is the culprit, but it is surely somewhere there. Little at a loss as to what to do. Wish I knew of a Firefox whiz or Geek either near where I live or in Frederick, MD; Leesburg, VA or Washington, DC

iphoto has been importing photos for over n hour and I can't get it to stop. Can't get out of iphoto and can't shut down computer.
iPhoto works best when the source (Pictures folder) is on a different disk drive than the iPhoto Library is on.
And you need to have enough free disk space to work with, the faster the better.
Also, do not keep your media folders and those in your home folder on the same drive as the system, also another bottleneck.
Until or unless you have everything on 1400MB/sec SSD PCIe controller, you want
System boot drive
Media and data folders and such
scratch
backup
etc
I put iPhoto on an SSD off an SSD PCIe Sonnet Tempo card
If you stop- it, you will need to trash the Library it was creating.
Reading and writing to/from the same hard drive will be slow.
You don't mention which Mac, or how large you are trying to import etc

Take a look in Activity Monitor. See what the % being used for iPhoto, how many pageouts, how much free space on the various disk drives, and how much RAM do you have installed?

Try resetting it while it is connected to power: Hold down the home and sleep button, wait for the Apple logo, let go of the buttons. It is connected to a wall charger?

I tried to take a number and make it into a contact from a text message and it wouldn't open. So I tried to open facebook later, and I found that all my apps were unresponsive once they opend. So I turned it off but the circle thing has been going for an hour and a half now and won't completely turn off. I plugged it into the computer and I get a pop up message that Itunes can't recognize my phone or something similar. Don't know what to do, I was going to reset everything but how can I if it won't recognized when plugged into my computer?
Hi. I checked on the order and it says the order is currently being processed and I should check back tomorrow. I'm mostly just concerned because I got an email saying the order was on hold, and I want to make sure it actually does go through and I'm not just waiting for a delivery that's not going to come. I'm still confused as to why I'd get an email saying I had to call the fraud department only to be told I shouldn't have called the fraud department.

I don't have an iPhone. My friend does and we have been texting for 6 months and havn't had any problems. All of a sudden I cannot get her text messages. She revieces mine but i cannot recieve her's. I can also text other iPhone users with no difficulty at all.
What is happening?I would have your friend first do a reset on her iPhone. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. Also, SMS is a carrier feature and if she is having trouble, she might want to contact her carrier and have them double check her account provisioning. It might just need a reset on their end.

I have an iPod classic 30GB. I've just got a new laptop and i have transferred my itunes library from my old laptop to my new one. I've also updated my library substantially, and want to erase everything from my ipod and sync the new library onto it. However, it's been connected for an hour and is still saying 'determining tracks to sync'. Is this normal? How long should it take, if my new library is about 10.5GB large?
When you switched chargers, did you use the 10 watt chargers designed for the iPad? Did you also change the connecting wires? Have you tried power off, hold the sleep/power button until the red slider appears and slide to off. Then plug the iPad in?
If none of that is working, it could be a bad 30-pin connector in the iPad...an Apple genius bar tech can test and see if that is the problem. -
i have an old ipod touch that i have not used in a very long time, and im having trouble gettign it to turn on. ive had it on a charger for over an hour now and still nothing hs changed. i just updated my itunes to the current version they haev so i know its not an itunes problem its rather a problem with the old ipod touch itself. im leaving for deployment soon and im trying to get this fixed without having to send it in. If anyone has any ideas on how to get this thing turned on it would be greatly appreciated.
Well, two thoughts.
The battery has completely discharged and will take overnight to recharge, so don't expect much in an hour.
The battery has deep discharged and is now dead. It will never recharge and should be replaced.

Someone got my iphone disabled, and when i went to password after it got unlocked i accidently got it wrong, i cant connect to itunes as my charger is broken so im using one without the usb, how long will i have to wait for me to be able to access it or how? thankyou
If it just says that it's disabled, then it will never re-enable on its own. You'll need to restore it:

I'm not sure what breaking your charger has to do with not being able to connect your iPhone to iTunes on your computer.

My iMessage stopped working about a week and a half ago (today is 4/26/13), even when connected to my home WiFi. My fiance is having the same problem with his iMessage. Both of our iMessage and FaceTime accounts are "active" according to our iPhone settings. Friends who live across the country (we're in the USA) have asked us why we've stopped using iMessage. Please, HELP!!!
Thanks for the reply. I tried that, then updated my phone (which restarts everything). Those steps seem to have fixed the problem for now.
