Have bookmarks on usb key backup, cannot figure out how to open firefox (already installed) to import the book marks .

I know how to take bookmarks from Windows 7 (firefox) and put them into another windows machine. I know to import them into Ubuntu, I have to open up firefox in Ubuntu (already pre-installed). I just cant find any bookmarks list in the Ubuntu firefox list that I can access, so I cannot import them using "import" (which everyone says glibbly) to get them in. How do I access bookmarks in the pre-installed firefox.

You'll need to transfer the bookmarks backup file from your Windows PC to your Ubuntu PC - perhaps by emailing it to yourself or copying it onto a USB stick. Once you've done this, here's how to copy (import) them into Firefox on Ubuntu:
# Click the Bookmarks button [[Image:Bookmarks-29]] and select ''Show All Bookmarks''.
# At the top of the Library window, click on ''Import and Backup'' and select ''Restore''.
# Click ''Choose file''
# In the new window that appears, browse for the bookmarks file, select it and click ''Open''
# Your bookmarks from Windows should now be imported.

Or did you mean you had downloaded it to your iPhone, and you were looking for the app in iTunes to activate it? If so, that is not where you would do it. You need to sign on to your iCloud account on your computer - that's where it is housed....

I have recently bought the new iStick and absolutely love it! The only question that I have is figuring out how to open a file on my iPad and saving it to the iStIck. Does anyone have any experience with this?

I have OSX 7.2 Lion but cannot figure out how to setup a signature on apple mail for my emails.

I just converted to OSx 7.2 Lion and starting using the applle mail instead of Entourage because I got a I phone 4S so I wanted to use the cloud. But I can not figure out how or if you can setup a signature to use when emailing. I had it with Entourage and its kinda nice for business so you can put your company name or title after you name without having to type it everytime. Anyone know if you can do it in Lion?

It's possible that the W2 you used was set up with the EchoSign service. It allows you to draw a signature with a mouse. This is available as well with more recent versions of Reader (10.1+) if the form isn't Reader-enabled or secured. You will see this in the Sign panel when the document is opened in Reader.
You can otherwise get an EchoSign account and upload your document and send it to your customers through the EchoSign service. You can establish a free account to see how it works.

How can I get my playlists/music on my Itunes libray and iphone? I only have it on my iPad and cannot figure out how to sync to all.

I have an iPad mini and iphone 5s. My ipad has all of my music on it but my iphone won't sync any music or playlist to it. Iphone has a random choice of about 20 songs on its playlist. My itunes library does not show any playlists or music/app purchases. I already clicked the "Transfer Purchases" button and it didn't do anything. My icloud is turned on on both devices. Not sure what I am doing wrong... (I'm also not a pro with apple technology)

I cannot update apps on my iPhone. It has my old Apple ID. Fine on Mac & iPad they accept my new ID (automatically). Tried syncing iPhone with Mac. Didn't work.

To change the Apple ID on the iPhone go to Setttings > iTunes & App Store > then tap the Apple ID at the top and sign out.

I just downloaded Photoshop cc and I cannot figure out how to open it and start editing??

I have never used these products before so this is all new to me. I open the creative cloud icon it saved on my computer when I downloaded it. When I click on photoshop though it just keeps taking me to the download page. Thinking I did it wrong I clicked download and it still does this. How do I open the program?

In Windows click on start/ All Programs and launch Photoshop.
You may even navigate to C/Program Files/Adobe/Photoshop CC/ run Photoshop.exe
Mac: Go to Applications and look for Photoshop and launch it from there.

Cannot figure out how to open and view a coredump

I've been having frequent issues on not just Linux but also Windows, where the symptoms are always the same: all the applications notify me that they crash, and for Linux, the screen freezes, while on Windows there's a blue screen in addition. Trying to analyze Windows' dump of course proved futile. However, while I did get a core dump on Linux in /var/lib/systemd/coredumps, the file within the xz archive, when opened with a log viewer like KSystemLog, shows timestamps but also binary code in the description field. The `coredumpctl` utility is little help to me too. Not even a Google search on "systemd core dump view" gave any good results, seeming to discard the keyword `view` from the query.
So my question is: how do I view a core dump or get coredumpctl to analyze it? `coredumpctl gdb` returns nothing

$ coredumpctl gdb <keyword>
e.g.
$ coredumpctl gdb vlc
will show the latest vlc dump file with gdb.

Now everything will work before.
Click on your iPod in the lefthand window. Then use the music sync page to select your playlists. Or drag the playlists to your device

I Cannot Figure Out How To Create A Signature Spot! Help Please!

I'm not very good at all this stuff. Long story short I have a contract drawn up that I need to use for doing business with my customers. At the bottom I want to leave a box where they simply click when they're reading the PDF, and it allows them to draw in a signature.
I first encountered this kind of thing on a W2 form, and it was so easy it worked without even pulling me off the browser.
I have Acrobat Pro 10.1.1, but I simply cannot figure out how to do this.
If anyone has the time, step-by-step instructions that a 6-year-old could follow is probably necessary with this.

Well, you have also "hidden" what version of OS X you are using from anyone who might want to help you.
You are probably using a newer version than I am, but I don't know that these things have changed.
In the Finder, from the Finder menu > Preferences …, there should be a Sidebar pane to choose what is visible.
Also in the Finder, Go menu > Computer (or type Shift Command C) will open a Finder window with any attached volumes showing.

If your iPhone 4 was running iOS 5, you can't install iOS 5 on an iPhone 3G which means you can't restore the 3G from the backup of the iPhone 4 running iOS 5.

My computer crashed and I was using Chrome, not have firefox and cannot figure out how to get my "Favorites" into firefox. I have located the file on my computer, but it's not on any ISP.

I am trying to get my computer back in working order and use Firefox instead of Chrome. I have my "favorites" folder on my desktop but cannot figure out how to link it to my Bookmarks and get websites to come up.

Once you have those bookmarks in firefox use the firefox Bookmarks menu to see and click on the required bookmark, that will take you to the location of that bookmark, which usually will be somewhere out on the Internet.
