Have changed password. Still can't download as it will not let me get past the Name/password screen.

I have gone through all of the hoops to download the latest Adobe Flash, but can't do it.
I have gotten the emails. Changed my password, but still can't download.
My name comes up when I go to open to install, but maybe that is incorrect.
However, I have worked on this for over an hour now and am ready to quit as I follow the directions and still can't download.
Very frustrating as I just want to contact somebody who can help me. Thanks.

You might want to check if it is your computer security requesting your system password and nothing of Adobe.
There is not normally any requirement to provide a password when installing Adobe software. Can you explain what you are trying to download (Flash Pro or Flash Player) and other details. There are normally no emails involved either so your mention of that is a wonder as well. Why you say your name comes up when you go to install is also a wonder since you say you are unable to download.

In the optional install items-Quick Time is not an option. I am on Leopard.
Then you either:
1) never had QT X installed and could not have deleted it since QT X is only installed on Snow Leopard (OS X v10.6), Lion (OS X v10.7), and Mountain Lion (OS X v10.8) systems or...
2) you are actually running Snow Leopard (OS X v10.6) and not Leopard (OS X v10.5) as you just stated.

Define "won't work"...
You can not activate an iPhone without a SIM. If the phone is carrier locked, you must have a valid Sim from the correct carrier.

Again, this only affects you if someone *redownloaded* content with a different ID. In my case, I emailed iTunes Store support, explained the situation, and they reset the counter. I recommend you try the same
If you read discussion boards, this is a significant change from a year ago, when Apple told people in the same situation to go f&$# themselves. Clearly it's dawning on them that this is a stupid policy, and my guess is if people keep complaining they'll change it to something more reasonable. Remember, it wasn't that long ago you couldn't re-download content at all.
Apple can't really afford to play hardball on this. Sure, the hardcore fanboys will always say "Thank you sir, may I have another" whatever Apple throws at them, but the rest of us will just switch to Amazon, which has none of these restrictions.

Claudius,either you didn't read my post, or you jumped to conclusions. I had a skype account that was created using a microsoft account (NOT THE ACCOUNT I AM USING NOW). PURE MICROSOFT ACCOUNT NO OTHER ACCOUNT LINKING.I had to change the primary mail of that account.I was told "no can do" by skype support.I found that if I went to account settings and clicked on the link on the line below the one that said "MICROSOFT etc" (labeled something along the lines of "TV or Device") I got the opportunity to set the password of the "live:username" account (WHICH YOU COINCIDENTALLY HAVE TO DO IF YOU WANT TO USE SMART TVs ETC).Once that was done, I COULD SUCCESSFULLY DO WHAT SKYPE SUPPORT SAID WAS IMPOSSIBLE- I could change the primary mail address. once that was done, and NOT BEFORE, I linked the account to a facebook account as well, just to be sure I have more than one way to access the skype account. Another way. You can use a USB flash drive & the camera connection kit.
Plug the USB flash drive (works the same with an SD card) into your computer & create a new folder titled DCIM. Then put your movie/photo files into the folder. The files must have a filename with exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension (i.e., my-movie.mov; DSCN0164.jpg).
Now plug the flash drive into the iPad using the camera connection kit. Open the Photos app, the movie/photo files should appear & you can import. (You can not export using the camera connection kit.)

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.

Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

Update it from iTunes on a computer as described at the bottom of this article; there isn't a Software Update option in General on iOS versions prior to 5.0. It can only be updated directly to the newest iOS release supported by the device’s hardware, which is iOS 6.1.6 for an iPhone 3GS.

been looking for something a bit like it got an old ipod thouch in a audio dock in the kitchen and want to give it access to all my music not just play what is synced
so far my only options is to get an app to use upnp to get the music directly from my nas
or get some app which require the computer to be running and running some program to handle it
and as far as I can tell getting access to stuff synced on the atv is a no go
