Have claim code, can't connect!

I'm setting up my new Photosmart 5520. It printed me a sheet with a claim code for HP Connected.
I went on line and discovered that this only exists for USA and UK - I live in Luxembourg. Apparently I need to use ePrint.
I tried to set up an ePrint account and it takes me to a screen that asks for a Snapfish password. I don't have a Snapfish account. I don't want or need a Snapfish account. I just want to connect and enter my claim code, which runs out in less than 24 hours.
Please explain what I should do.
Thanks in advance,
Naomi
PS the page for Luxembourg is in French, but this is no problem.

Hi,
You can use HP Connected in the US. Me too, I live in Australia and I have to use HP Connted in the US for my loan printers (old and new).
Regards.

  • AIRPORT: have bars but can't connect to internet

In the last week and a half, my MBP's Airport has been really weird lately.
I haven't updated anything aside from iTunes and I think Iphoto.
My airport would say it's connected and that it has full bars, but I can't connect to the internet
This doesn't just happen to my home connection but to my school's connection too.
I've tried creating new Airport by what people told me to do (+/-) etc... and this worked for a while, but then it stopped working OR it would work then drop my connection a couple hours later.
My connection is really bipolar at the moment. It's like one moment, I log on, and I have internet... then the next moment, I don't.
Anyone else having the same problem? Help.

    In System Preferences > Network > Airport/Wireless ...
... make certain Airport/Wireless is at the Top of the list. If not, there is a command accessible with the gear Icon under the box to re-order the list and put it there.
To get it to make up its mind more quickly, ask to join new Networks [√]  and on the ( Advanced | Airport/Wireless ) Pane, make sure your Home Network is listed and at the top of the list.
You are not using IPv6, ( Advanced | TCP/IP ) so turn it off.
If it continues to give you trouble, use the ( Assist Me ) button. If "diagnostics" does not give any satisfaction, use "Setup" to set it up again from scratch by answering the questions.

There may be times when you need to re-print the Web Services information sheet for your printer. The info sheet includes a claim code for your printer; you will use this claiming code on ePrintCenter when you establish your account. Using this code on ePrintCenter will associate your printer with your account and create your ePrint email address.

  • Can't connect you the X11 window server

    Hi all!
I am having problems eom to show reports in the BEA with Crystal Reports.
I use BEA WEBLOGIC PLATAFORM 8,1 for Linux with Crystal Reports XI.
I configured server BEA to initiate as a service in my Linux SUSE, and therefore I do not use myself in the graphical way.
However when I try to visualize some report of crystal JSP page, I receive the following error:
    <code>
Can't connect you the X11 window server using ':0.0 ' the value of the variable DISPLAY
    </code>
With the reports me this error only occurs, therefore I have you vary webservices and paginas that function perfectly.
Already I read some topics of the forum related with this problem, but no similar to mine or that it decided my problem
    Somebody could help me?
Obs:I am brasilian and my English no is good!
    Sorry!

    Hi Vitor,
    May be this will help
    1) Setting the DISPLAY variable using script or in cell by issuing,
    setenv DISPLAY=<machine name>:0.0
    or
    export DISPLAY=<machine name>:0.0
where <machine name> is the IP or name of the machine that has a graphics server process running, like X11.
If you migrate your aplication to a different server, maybe the fonts put on the /fonts directory won't work fine...
    Sample:
    setenv DISPLAY=localhost:0.0 export DISPLAY
results in setting this variable for only that script process or for the cell with the local scope.
Use the xhost + command to make this variable to global scope with above.
    The link has many workarounds

  • Devices can only connect to airport exp b4 Macbook

    I hope someone can help:
I have a Macbook and Windows XP machine both successfully connected to my Airport Express Wi-fi network. But I also have a Nokia mobile phone (Symbian OS) and Dell Axim PDA (Windows Mobile) which I would like to connect. These devices can connect to every other network I have tried but can only connect to the Airport Express network if I connect them before the Macbook is connected (they remain connected if I then connect the Macbook too). If I try to connect them after the Macbook has connected, they don't even see the network! The Windows XP machine is unaffected by any of this.
    Any help much appreciated!
    Keith

In case anyone else has this issue, I think I worked it out:
The Airport Express WLAN port was set to "automatic" but changing it to "1" allows the mobile devices to access the network even after the macbook. Dunno what the macbook was up to though....

    Hi,
You have to, without connecting to the internet, the claim code (if you can get one) is useless.

  • I can't get my printer to print out the claim code. HP7520-e All in one

Whenever I press the web icon on my printer, it gives me the printers email address, but there is no place to press to get it to print out a claim code.

I can't get my HP Photosmart 7520 e-All-in-One to print out the claim code, either.  I have had problems ever since they switched from ePrintCenter to HP Connected.
This is my second HP Photosmart 7520 e-All-in-One, the first one quit printing and they said I would have to buy a new Printhead Assembly ($73.30), and throw away my partially used ink cartridges and buy new ones ($104 to replace my 5 HP 564XL High Yield Original Ink Cartridges!) It made more sense to buy whole a new printer for $200!

If you lose your printer code before registering your printer, you can print a new information page to secure a new printer code. Use the following steps to disable and re-enable Web Services to print a new information page.
On the printer control panel, touch the Web Services icon (). The Web Services window opens.
Touch Settings, touch Remove Web Services, and then touch Yes.
Touch the Web Services icon () again. The Web Services window opens.
Touch Settings, and then touch Enable Web Services.
Touch Yes to accept the terms of use. The printer prints an information page.
If the printer does not print an information page, touch Print Report.
NOTE:The information page contains the printer claim code that you use to register your printer.

  • How do I find claim code to access printables on HP Connected?

I have an HPDJ2540 and had it for a while. I have only just discovered the HP Connected site where you can get print outs for colouring, recipes etc and they look like they would come in handy for my and my family.I have looked through the forums and it keeps saying that HPDJ2540 can't have a claim code because they don't have ePrint.I have installed ePrint on my laptop and it has printed out a test page but there is no claim code on there. It says the print processor is Winprint but on previous test pages when just printing normally it says 'this is a web services printer'.I tried the IP address in the address bar but there is no web services tab on there or on any of the pages. If I can't get a claim code then how can I access the printables on HP Connected? I really would like to be able to access the printables. If I can't access because of my printer then will someone in HP be sorting this out as it seems alot of people use the HPDJ2540 and a 'it doesn't work on that printer' really isn't acceptable.Thank you in advance.

Your Mac won't have an IP address, at least not a valid IP, until you actually connect it to your home LAN. Not sure why you think you need the IP, you don't.
To connect to your home WiFi you need to know the SSID name, IE the name of your home WiFi, and the password for it. Once you have those two things click the little antenna looking icon on the right side of the menu bar and select your home WiFi name and click connect. A dialog box will pop up asking for the password, type in the password and click OK/Connect/Whatever.

  • No Internet Connection, No Claim Code for the T120?

I am trying to locate the Claim Code for my new T120 printer. The instructions do not lead me in the right direction and shows menu options that are not available..
I have printed the Network Config pages and WS Discovery is enabled and WS Print is enabled. The printer is connected to our LAN. I am able to print from multiple PCs on the LAN.
When I press the ePrint button it tells me that Connection is Required. printer must be connected to the network and internet for this feature.
As far as I can tell it is connected to the network, i can print via the network and the data switch is connected to the modem in our server rack.

    Hi Blathudda,
I see that there is network issue with your connection. As per your first post i see that there is no connectivity on the printer.
You might come across any one of these issues listed below:
    1. If you have a proxy settings, please add the proxy settings to your printer. This might get your work done. your Network provider should be able to provide the proxy settings for your network.
    or
    2. You can also try using the Lan cable and Lan Port used for your laptop if your laptop is able to connect to the internet seamlessly.
    or
    3. Please Check with your network administrator is the lan port is enabled or not.
    Kind Regards,
    Oliver

  • Connecting an iPad/getting claim code/email address for Photosmart B110a

I started out trying to to something quite simple and it's becoming a nightmare!
My parter has a new iPad and needs to print from it.  She's downloaded the app and it's asking for the printer's email address.  I went to find this on the website and having not used it for ages found I had to go through the process of being transferred over to the HP Connected site, where I can't find the email address.
So I tried to register my printer again and was told to find the claim code. I went through the process on the printer but none of the web services options (including display email address or print info page) work. Says  unable to connect to server/register error/upgrade product -  that sort of thing. Tried to upgrade but it says I have the latest software.
Totally stuck and on the verge of throwing the ipad, the printer, my girlfriend and myself out of the window!

    Hi,
You need a calim code first before getting the email address. The following link shows you how:

  • Can't get claim code?

We have many devices connected to eprint through our HP laserjet 1102w, but our chromebooks will not connect.
We are trying to recover our eprint email address and/or claim code to try to connect the two chromebooks to the printer...but the directions on hp support are circular -
    1.  In one instance they ask you to type in the IP address and do the following, but those options are not there on that screen, the IP address works fine.....:but there is nothing "WEB SERVICES" there to enable or disable.
On your computer, open a Web browser, type the IP address into the address line, and then press Enter. The HP Embedded Web Server (EWS) opens.
NOTE:Type the IP address exactly as it displays on the configuration report, for example, 192.168.X.XXX.
I got a security certificate error. What do I do?
In the EWS, click the HP Web Services tab.
If Web Services is enabled, click Print Information Sheet. An information sheet prints that has your claim code.
If Web Services is not enabled, click Enable. An information sheet prints that has your claim code.
    2.  Other HP support says the eprint address of our printer will be on the configuration sheet the printer spits out - and it is not.
    3.  There are also directions about customizing your eprint email address....but when you follow their directions there is no such screen/option to do so.
Any idea how to get the claim code?  recover the eprint address? and/or connect a chromebook to this model of printer?
    Thanks,
    PJDJ

    Hello @ pjdj,
    Welcome to the HP forum.
When you get the security certificate error, you should proceed ahead. It will advise you against this.
You are attempting to get inside your printer, not to a website. This is why the 'websites' certificate gives an error.
Once you proceed and reach the EWS, look for the web services tab. If you do not have one you will need to update the printers firmware.
Hope this was helpful. Let me know if I can be of further assistance.
