Have downloaded Lightroom 5 to iMac (Mavericks OS10.9.3). No Basic sliders in Develope module?

Why do I not find Basic slider section in the Develope Module of a trial version of Lightroom 5?

Michel,
Right-click (or ctrl-click on Mac) on any header on the right side of the develop module and choose Basic from the context menu. (Or 'Show All').

The Canon 5D Mk 111 was supported from LR 4.1, see the link below. Just update LR to the latest version. See link below

  • I have downloaded lightroom after a free trial and i cant get it to run. i have regitered the product?

i hav edownloaded lightroom after a free trial and cant grt it to work?

open lightroom and you should see a message about your trial expiring and giving you the option to purchase.  click that option and you should be given the option to enter your serial number.
if not, uninstall your lightroom trial (using the adobe uninstaller).  then download and install lr 5.7,

Download and installation help for Prodesigntools links are listed on most linked pages.  They are critical; especially steps 1, 2 and 3.  If you click a link that does not have those steps listed, open a second window using the Lightroom 3 link to see those 'Important Instructions'.

  • I have downloaded lightroom 5 and opened the program. do i import the photos or the catalogue

I have downloaded light room 5 and opened the program. I want to import my photos, do i import the photos off the hard drive or import the catalogue?

    MIke
I've been using Lightroom since the beginning and love it, but have had a past problem when upgrading to the next version. All my files are on external hard drives (two) and I only want the computer to access them for processing from that external source.
During my upgrade import the catalogue files on my hard drive as a choice are not available to import only the photo files are. Am I not correct to only want to import the catalogue and not the photo files?
    Your help is most appreciated

  • I have OS X 10.8.5 trying to upgrade. Have downloaded latest OS X Maverick but to install I am prompted for the Admin Password. I don't believe one was ever set up. I have tried my Apple Id Password but not accepted, Advice appreciated.

My system is Mac HD OX S 10.8.5. I want to upgrade 10.9.1 and have downloaded it. However, to install it I am prompted for the Admin Password. I don't believe one was ever set up. I have tried my Apple Id Password but not accepted, Advice appreciated?

If you have 10.8.5 you don't have a PowerPC Mac (PPC).  PPC is for pre-2006 Macs.   Go to Apple menu -> About This Mac to make sure you have an Intel Mac and that you didn't flip the 5 and 8 in your operating system indication.  If you actually have 10.5.8 but you have Intel it gets a lot more complicated to install 10.9.
10.5.8 is the maximum for PowerPC.
10.6 can be upgraded on Intel with this tip:
    https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-2455
And it also help you get up to 10.6.6 or 10.6.8 as needed.
    https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-6271
will help someone with 10.5.8 determine if they are ready to jump to 10.7 or later.
If you have 10.8.5, you must install 10.9.0 first (free from the Mac App Store) to get to 10.9.1.
    Backup your data:
    https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-1992
and check http://www.roaringapps.com/ and your printer, scanner, and peripheral  drivers are compatible with third party vendors before upgrading to 10.9.

I recently updated the my Lightroom to5.5: now I can't develop my images: I'm asked to reactivate my Develop module.  How do you do that?  I've signed out of the creative cloud and signed back in but that doesn't work.  Any ideas please?

  • I have downloaded Lightroom  but now require a serial number to activate it.

I subscribe monthly to Creative Cloud my ID is '[email protected]'
Help please I spent 20 minutes talking to your customer helpline being passed to four operators before finally being directed to the forums and I am not happy.
    Derek Grieve

Have you downloaded it from ACC or from the standalone version?
Because via the Creative Cloud manager it shouldn't ask for any serial number.
Any chances you had a full version installed already?

  • I have downloaded Lightroom 5

    Hi Pococo,
There is a Document provided by Adobe for this specific issue:

  • Hi there I have been using lightroom 5 and photshop cc with no problems, but since I have downloaded lightroom cc I have issues. The version of lightroom 5 installed on my computer no longer works, but when I try to develop an image in the develop screen

Can anyone help me with the above I am using a PC running windows 7?

Scrapchik for information on how to reinstall Photoshop CC please see CC desktop lists applications as "Up to Date" when not installed - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/aam-lists-removed-apps-date.html.
Did you use system restore or did you reinstall from a setting within your computer?

  • Corrupted Lightroom (Can't access Basic controls in Develop module.) Do I need to delete and reinstall and, if so, how to do it without involving Creative Cloud swamp?

I am running on a McBook Pro, and suddenly cannot see or access the Basic options. Have I pushed the wrong button or has Lightroom gotten corrupted by my visit to Hawaii?
My thought is that the program has been corrupted; normally I woiuld simply delete it and reinstall, but Adobe seems to want me to jump through the Creative Cloud hoops, which I tried once and quit almost immediately.
Is there something that I ought to do to regain control ofmy life, or at least Lightroom?

That's odd - remember it is "Adobe Photoshop Lightroom."
On a MacBook, show the Launchpad (4-finger pinch on the trackpad) and type "Lightroom" in the search bar to find the app... Pin it to the dock when it's open so you can easily find it in the future (right click the dock icon, Options > Keep in Dock).

  • Lightroom 3.5 still has ACR 4.6 as Profile in Develop Module - please help!

Hi there! I am hoping that someone can please help me out, as i'm racking my brain trying to figure this out.
I have Lightroom 3.5 - Photoshop CS5 Extended and both are up to date but I'm trying to get my ALR to use the latest Camera Raw 6.5 but it's not a selection on the drop down menu.
My camera profiles are there for Nikon D700 but i'm using presets that use ACR and it's old. -- i've removed Lightroom (an unistaller would be super helpful adobe!!!) but it still remembers my old catalogs etc...
I'm searching but i don't know what else to do... any help would be amazing. thank you!
    J

    J,
The profile "ACR 4.6" you see has nothing to do with the ACR version you're using. If you're working with LR 3.5, you're using ACR 6.5 technology.
Adobe used to name the profiles after the ACR release number when a profile version was first introduced. So the profile ACR 4.6 is a profile first introduced together with ACR 4.6, but used by ACR 6.5 in your case.
So it's just another version of the D700 profiles available to you.
