Yes you should, you should always keep your browser, plugin and other software up to date, latest version are less buggy, fixed ton of crash, and fix some performance issue, so if you need best result, you should always keep your browser up to date.:)

iCloud's mail server settings are different from MobileMe's. Strictly speaking Lion 10.7.2 is required for iCloud, and on that Mail is set up automatically.
Snow Leopard cannot access most of iCloud's facilities, however you can set Mail up manually to access your email. The method is described here:

iCloud cannot access your AOL account (the MobileMe facility for checking external POP accounts does not exist in iCloud) - you will have to do this in the Mail application in the usual way. You could of course set up forwarding from your AOL account to iCloud (assuming they provide this facility) but you will not be able to reply using iCloud's SMTP server with anything other than the iCloud address as the 'From' address. -

I have an external firewire burner; it never shows on the desktop unless I insert a CD or DVD - that icon will then show (if I have my preferences set to show those on the desktop). Hae you checked in Disk Utility (Applications > Utilities) to see if it is listed under drives?

You will have to put your phone into recovery mode and restore the phone as new. Since you don't have a back up, you will lose all the data on your phone but you will be able to use it again.

You are confusing two different versions of the iMovie app. You have downloaded an update to the boxed version that Apple sold in the past. Yoi cannot update the version that Apple now sells in the Mac App Store with that update. -

Hope you are backing up anyway, but be sure you have an up to date backup. Repair permissions in Disk Utility, then restart from the Snow Leopard disk you buy (in the above link) and do an upgrade (only changes the OS), not a clean install (which wipes all data). Others on here may chime in on their thoughts on how best to do this, but I've never had trouble over 20+ years doing it this way. If you aren't having crashes and strange problems now you should be fine. Please write back or start a new thread (you'll get more help than continuing in this thread which has printing problems in the header) that has something like "Need help upgrading from Tiger to Snow Leopard" that will attract more help. -
