Under the direction of Apple Support, I recently erased my iMac (Intel) hard drive, reinstalled and updated software and migrated data from an external hard drive via Time Machine.
Now, after clicking on "PRINT", the print dialog box says "printing" then says "no pages found", and finally says "stopped"; and when I plug in my camera to download photos, the camera is not recognized. Both printer and camera are connected via USB.
I checked connections, verified printing and iPhoto preferences, turned printer off then on again, unplugged and replugged USB connections, and checked and followed directions in the Help menu.Thanks very much, I'd just tried rkaufmann87's suggestion and entered "This solved my question" when your suggestion popped up—you deserve a "This solved my question" too, though I saw only an option for "This helped me".
Before I got rkaufmann87's suggestion, I repaired disk permissions and that resolved the camera problem. Both of you nailed the solution.

my ipad 2 is "stuck" with a connect to itunes on the screen ... and itunes says it could not restore the os ... so now itunes does not recognize the ipad when connected to the pc ...i have updates all the software on the pc and disabled Norton as the troubleshoot instructions suggested; however itunes still does not recognize the ipad .... help!

I have an external firewire burner; it never shows on the desktop unless I insert a CD or DVD - that icon will then show (if I have my preferences set to show those on the desktop). Hae you checked in Disk Utility (Applications > Utilities) to see if it is listed under drives?

I have a desktop mac operating on Mac OSx 10.4.11 and the system does not recognize my iphone and I am unable to upgrade to the newest itunes version. What do I need to do?
Backup first
It is always best to have a full bootable backup before you upgrade. If you fail to do this you will be unable to return to this OS if you decide you don't like the new OS. Also there is a slight chance that an install could lose everything on the Mac. The backup must be to an external hard disk. Preferably use Carbon Copy Cloner to make a bootable backup of the whole disk.
Erase before the install
Once you have a bootable backup on an external disk it is best to erase the internal disk with the new installer DVD before you install.
During the install
Preferably do not import any data or preferences from earlier OSs during the install process as this can reintroduce bugs.

Upgrade to Leopard
Those wishing to upgrade to Leopard should be aware that install disks can be expensive unless you contact Apple. Upgrade beyond Leopard
OSs beyond OS X 10.5.8 require an Intel processor. If in doubt check this: Click the apple at the top left of your screen and select 'About this Mac'. This will give you your OS number. Then click 'More Info' to see which processor you have. If it says PowerPC you cannot upgrade to Snow Leopard and above. Try opening an image in full edit, then press crtl+p
Wait for the print dialog to open and try to select your printer by clicking the dropdown menu.

Try resetting your iPad:
Double click the Home button. Slide up with one finger on ALL your apps to close them.
Then, Press the Sleep/Wake button + Home button and hold 15 seconds or until you see the Apple logo.
This will reset your device without erasing data, apps or settings. -

You appear to have a second generation iPod touch, not a third, and those can't be updated past 4.2.1. Apple sold 8GB second generation models at the same time as the third generation ones.

I could originally sync my iPad 3 on my Mac pro via iTunes. Now the computer does not recognize the device and shows as "not charging" on the device screen. It does still charge with the cord and will sync with my Mac book. I have current iTunes software installed and running 10.6.8. Any help would be appriciated.
Nope. iPads can only be synced with one iTunes library, and all content on the iPad would be erased if you tried to sync it with a different one.

You may check here for your information regarding your issue. If you are unable to find the printer from this app on your iPad 2, you may need to power off the iPad 2 and then power it back to enable a new connection and check the router settings for your network to make sure there is not a setting that is blocking your devices from seeing other devices on the network as some routers have this as a feature for security purposes.
