Have I missed something?

Our company is in the process of changing our pay system so we get our statements from a website. I have downloaded AR 9.1,
but I am still unable to see the statements. Did I miss something in the download? I'm running Windows XP Home Edition w/SP3.

I went to the wehsite to print my statements. The site opens, but instead
of a statement, I just get a blank box with a red X in the upper left
corner. I upgraded to AR 9.1
but it wouldn't install at first. I uninstalled the version I had, stopped
my virus program just in case, and re-installed AR 9.1 from the website. I
can access the website,
but when I go to the statement, I'm continuing to get a blank box with the x
in the corner. My working system is XP Home Edition, and I have plenty of
space to run the
program with no complications. Any help and suggestions are greatly
appreciated.

I have just put my mates birthday in his contact along with his E mail, address and so on.
I then went into my calendar to find how it was displayed and nothing was there.
OK I thought I'll add it in calendar and only found a setting for meeting, memo and anniversary.

Movies selection by rating, actor, genre - have apple missed something?

Look, am I missing something or can Apple not be bothered developing the software for the ATV? I am loading movies and realised there is no other way of selecting a movie appart from the A-Z list, how daft if that? Yet iTunes has a genre tab and you can create a playlist for movies (which wont then copy to the ATV!). Should it also not limit covers for those movies that meet the parenal controls, some covers should not be seen, eg horror for instance. So come on Apple, the id tags are there let's use them so we can select by rating, actor, genre, year etc...

Yeah.. Genre is there so as long as your movies are tagged with a genre, you will see Genres above the A-Z list of movies when you go to the My Movies section. (you didnt say you were doing this, but if you are encoding movies use Meta-X for tagging... thats all I will say, just google it fill in the rest)
As far as being able to list by Actor, Rating, Year, and the rest it wouldn't suprise me if that gets added at some point. Thats the great thing about apple tv is that if you are missing a feature now, you might see it sooner or later.

I haven't received any email contact from Apple after submitting my first podcast. Have a missed something?

I've managed to create my first podcast and was informed from others that upon posting to the iTunes store, Apple would send an email confirming it has received the podcast and another about 24 hours later confirming it has been indexed and providing a link to make it live.
As of yet, I've received none, including checking my junk emails.
The podcast shows up when clicking File > Subscribe to a podcast and entering in the RSS feed url, yet when clicking on the podcast and selecting > Show in iTunes Store, it yields no results. As a result, you can't search for the podcast in the iTunes Store or provide a direct link to it.
I'm using Libsyn as the RSS host (http://processtheprocess.libsyn.com/rss) and Feedburner(http://feeds.feedburner.com/ProcessTheProcess).
The "Subscribe with iTunes" on the Feed Burner page works and provides a link to download the podcast, but I'd like for it to be searchable on iTunes before continuing.
Is there a logical explanation to this and have I missed an important step along the way?

When you submit a feed you should get an ackowledgment email. After that it can take a couple of weeks for your podcast to be accepted (24 days is wildly optimistic) at which point you should be sent another email giving you the Store page URL. The emails may possibly have gone missing in transit, but that wouldn't prevent your podcast eventually going live as you don't have to do anything further. However the ability to locate a podcast through Search usually takes a further period, making it more difficult to discover whether the podcast is up or not.
You could try emailing Support as podcasts 'at' apple.com and asking about this, but it's quite likely you won't get a specific reply.
One possible test is to try submitting the feed again. If it has been registered as submitted you will be told that it has already been submitted, which will at least tell you that it's in process.

New battery will not charge - have we missed something obvious?

My DD has just replaced the battery on her PB. When the power supply (less than 3 months old) is attached, the led shows amber but the battery will not charge. I've tried reseating the battery with no effect. Since I purchased it from an apple dealer, I'll be taking it back tomorrow, but I wondered whether there is something obvious we've missed.

Thank you both. Yes I know the battery needs to be calibrated, but as you say, to calibrate, you need to charge, which is a non-starter. I'm going to take the whole thing in (again). I suspect the problem that led to the battery needing to be replaced possibly dealt a death blow to something inside. I don't know whether this is relevant, but before replacing the battery, the charger started to make a loud buzzing noise (I understand - I wasn't here), and with the old battery in place the PB kept freezing and/or rebooting. Only with the battery out and just the power supply in would the PB work. The PB is seeing the new battery, it just wont charge it. I just wanted to make sure there wasn't anything else I could do before taking it in.

Photo gallery Pages cant go "Under" another page or have i missed something

Seems any Photo Gallery page you make always stays at the top level. You don't seem to be able to make say a blank Page and create 3 gallery pages UNDER that page.
What I'd like to do is create a top page called Photo Galleries and in there put 3 photo gallery pages
One called Picture Art, One Garden Art and one Commisioned. UNDER each of these pages I'd like to have 3 Galleries.
The reason I want to do this is to make it easier for people to find exact catagories when they visit my site.

Yes, you can.
Add a My Photoalbum page. In it you can add photopages.
You can drag existing photopages into the My albums page.
It's all there. Visible and ready to use.

Have I been mis sold or am I missing something?

I'm confused. I called bt for a quote for phone tv and broadband. I was quoted for the tv essential package. I can't remember conversation but obviously I confirmed sport channels were included as this justifies the price in my eyes from leaving sky.
Fast forward and I have it all up and running but no sport. Called the other day, spoke to technician who said he couldn't activate it so he transferred me to another department. Lady told me she had ordered it and I'd get it on my tv within 48 hours. 4 days later I've no sport so called again. Again I'm told he can't activate it so transferred me to same department.
Now she has just told me that sport is not included on the tv in my package as I don't have infinity, only on the app. She said I have not been mis sold as I wasn't told I could get it on the tv. But how am I to know that I could only have it on the app, why wouldn't the guy say to me on the phone that I'd only get it on the app or website?? On the bt main page where you choose your package, it states that bt sport on bt tv is available as a bolt on. When you then click on start my order, it states that this bolt on is free.
This has now been referred to another department so they can listen to the original sales call. I've also asked them to listen to the call 4 days ago when the other bt woman told me she had activated the sports on my tele. I am very confused and wondering have I missed something very simple here or are they advertising it badly?

I set up library in Iluustrator but can't access it in In Design - am I missing something?

I love the fact I can sort all my relevant assets, logos, colour, fonts etc into the Library in Illustrator but I want to work in InDesign too but I can't open the library in Indesign.
Have I missed something ?

Apparently the answer is no. This really is poor for a set of applications that are supposed to be integrated. Come on Adobe get your act together, you have libraries in Indesign that are different to those in illustrator and photoshop?

I have been a Creative fan for a long time, and my latest Creative purchase is a Zen V Plus 8Gb. And very nice it is too. However, what's going on with the software ? I don't get it, my MP3 player software (MediaSource 5) can't RIP in MP3 format, just WMA ? It's got a nice link undeath that says if you want MP3 click here to buy it for an extra $0. I'm stunned, having just paid ?50 for?an MP3?player, not a Windows Media Player. I know it's all kind of similar, but the bottom line is my music collection is MP3, I have MP3 Tag Editors I like, etc, and older devices that don't play WMA. The other annoying thing with the software, MediaSource 5, is that it installs along side MediaSource 3 rather than upgrade it. I have a Creative Audigy ZS Pro with Creative Gigaworks 7. Speakers on my PC which seems to needs MediaSource 3 for the SB Remote control to work, and to adjust sound/speaker settings. Using the creative Software Autoupdate tells me I need to keep and update both MediaSource 3 & 5 on my PC to use both my creative products. I'm not sure who's co-ordinting the creative software/hardware products but right now it seems to me to be a disasterous mess, which is especially anonying as I chose my Creative MP3 player so that I had just software suite for managing my music collection. Hi there. I also bought an iWires mini Display port to HDMI cable and have an LG LED/LCD TV. I plugged it in to my MB Pro and followed the very small writing that came in the package and got both audio and video going. You need to change the audio settings from within System Preferences on your Mac to select your TV as the audio output.
My concern is the data latency - do you experience a delay between moving your mouse on the MBPro and the TV displaying the movement? It is only a fraction of a second, but certainly enough to be annoying, especially in a cable as expensive as the iWire.
