Have I won???

I recently entered the Marvel Age of Ultron competition. About a month ago I saw an advert for Skype Age of Ultron tickets and I entered by typing in 'marvelavengersuk'. I got this message from them:
"Thanks for entering for the chance to win tickets to our advanced screening of Marvel's Avengers: Age of Ultron on 23rd April in London. Winners will be contacted via Skype before 22nd April so be sure to check back to see if you've won!"
This to me seemed pretty legit, and a couple of days later a message:
"Congratulations! You have won two tickets to an advanced screening of Marvel's Avengers: Age of Ultron at Vue West End in London on 23rd April 2015. Please arrive at 7:30pm for 8pm screening.
To claim your prize please reply with your full name and email address within the next 24 hours so that you can be added to the guest list.
Prize consists of tickets only, and winner and guest are solely responsible for any travel or cost associated with attending the event. If you do not reply within 24 hours we may need to select an alternate winner."
So, I did so and I thought I won, however when I went to the skype webpage to check if this was legit, the skype name was 'marvelavengerus' (not uk). No where online can I find this and when I messaged them asking if it was a scam they replied 'no certainly not!', which naturally leads me to believe it is a scam. Can someone please tell me if this is legit and if I have actually won or if this is a scam?

In that case the procedure assuming it is a PAYG phone is to get an o2 PAYG sim, put £20 on it and then make a few calls making sure you leave £15 on the sim to pay for the unlock. Then there is an online unlock request form on the o2 site just fill this in. It takes between 1-14 days and you get a message from o2 telling you how to complete the official unlock through iTunes.
I got my o2 unlock in nov 09 so this is not just opinion.

HT1420 I song I have purchased won't play on the computer which it is authorized for.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
Try deleting the problematic file (electing to remove original file if/when prompted) and then re-downloading the file from the iTunes store.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option from the Quick Links section in the top right corner of the iTunes homepage in your iTunes application on your computer.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option at the bottom of the screen of the iTunes app (or video app) on your iOS device.
If the problem re-occurs, select the content which is causing a problem and use the 'Report a problem' button in Your Purchase History using your computer.

HT201209 my code is ok but it says insert disc which i have still won't redeem code?

I want to get my original photos out of aperture and can't seem to find a way to do it, I can't locate an original folder, I understand that images I have edited won't be exported I just want to have a copy of my files out of the system

I want to have my photo files all in one place. I want them out of the Apeture libary structure.

Hello Joe,
do you want to continue using Aperture or do you want to manage your images yourself?
If you want to continue using Aperture, but to be able to browse your images without launching Aperture, then relocate your master image files:
Select all images in the Browser
Use the File menu: File -> Relocate master and select a folder, where you want to store the master image files.
Be warned, that you must not edit, change, tag these files in any way, unless using Aperture itself to do the modification. Otherwise the link between master image files and version in Aperture may be broken.
Make sure you have a working backup of your Aperture Library before you do that.
But why do you want access to your images outside Aperture? Aperture as a digital asset management system is supposed to be able to manage you images in versatile a way, to give you access to all information you need. So what are you missing?

IMovie wants QT 7.0.4..but I have it, won't startup?

I had to re-install my OS X os at an Apple Store. When I try to startup iMovie, it says it wants QT 7.0.4. I have QT Player 7.0.4 (it's upgrade to Pro, BTW).

Well, then we need to get rid of every Quicktime reference on your computer and start anew.
to Verify That All QUICKTIME Files Are Removed
Go to: Start/Find/Files or Folders.
Enter QuickTime as one word in the Name box.
Click Find Now (be sure you are in the C drive of your computer).
Confirm that the following files are NOT on your computer. If they are still on your computer, delete them.
QuickTimeInstaller.ini
QuickTimeInstaller.exe
QuickTimeInstallCache.qdat
then reboot your computer
OR
Close the program tray icon (lower right corner of taskbar) before trying to remove (or installing standalone)? ( or ctrl alt del and close these first: iTunesHelper.exe, qttask.exe)
or:
Start - Run - copy and paste this into the run box:
C:\WINDOWS\unvise32qt.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\QuickTime\Uninstall.log
(check to see if there is a file "uninstall.log" in the C:\WINDOWS\System32\QuickTime folder)
last resort (since you cant get rid of it anyway) -
delete c:\program files\quicktime folder and c:\windows\system32\quicktime folder
run regedit - delete these keys:
HKEYLOCALMACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Quic kTime
HKEYLOCALMACHINE\SOFTWARE\Apple Computer, Inc.\QuickTime
Then, try downloading Quicktime Standalone and see if iTunes will open up after that. Good luck and keep me posted either way.

All google email sites reload every 7 seconds continuously. google does not have or won't tell an answer. Yahoo email does not do it. This problem just started without any computer changes.

If I can open five or six letters, sometimes the problem eases off after 20 minutes or so.

I would suggest running the network via a pc for the day.. pick either your Mac or win7 pc.. you will need to do a bit of fiddling.. even better would be to just borrow a router. Or buy one on a 7day return .. !! Beg borrow.. don't steal. Just get a router other than TC. it won't take long to determine if the TC is the issue.
IMO at 18months you are suffering failure of the TC power supply. early days but it is showing signs of delinquency. And will get worse. But another router will show it up.. if the PC has dual ethernet cards you can run ICS.. or same sort of thing on the imac to the wireless .. ie the PC or Mac becomes the router with direct connection to the cable modem. Then share internet from there.
Once you do that for a day or two, you will quickly be able to track down if the issue is cable service/modem or the TC as router.

Too many computers authorize; n songs I have bought won't download

I have replaced old computers & crashed computers and lost track of the numbers authorized. M children have purchased several songs that will not load because it say to many computers have been authorized. Please help. I have 2 MS operating sytems and one brand new mac pro laptop

You can do a once-a-year deauthorization (and re-authorization) of all the computers on your iTunes account.

Everytime i sync my ipod touch, the apps that i don't have running won't work anymore

When I connect my iPod Touch to my computer, the apps that aren't running won't work anymore. The icons are still there but the app itself doesn't open. I tried syncing it to my backups but it's useless. Please help!

Connect the device to your computer, open iTunes, restore the iPod to factory settings.

Are you signed into the same Apple ID in Settings>iTunes & App Stores that you used to purchase iTunes Match? If not, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with the correct ID.

Won't Boot, have blue power light.

I have DV2000, Won't power on, means it got blue power light and all other lights, but no bios startup or its a blank screen. I had reset bios batter, HDD, Memory.no luck. I had tried with external monitor but its blank. i have tried with or without battery...
Please let me know if anything else i can do..

What is the full model number? As has been documented here hundreds of times, the dv2000 series with AMD processor and nVidia graphics has an inherent manufacturing defect which makes the video chip literally detach from the motherboard, causing all kinds of problems and ultimately a no-post situation. There was a sort of recall by HP and actually a class action lawsuit but those remedies expired now years ago. There is an industry that has developed to repair these laptops because so many were sold and the fix is well-known, but requires advanced equipment to do it correctly. There are several excellent shops marketing themselves through eBay and on the internet who do good work and can fix it for $60-125 or so. If you want more help post back and we can point you to specific remedies. If you are adventurous you can actually fix it yourself for a least several months using just aluminum foil and a hot air gun or your oven.

IPod won't show up on itunes or mac, freezes, and doesn't play bought songs

Okay i have four issues with my iPod
1. It won't show up on iTunes or on Mac desktop
2. When i plug it into the USB port it freezes and say 'Do Not Disconnect'. It will not come out of this
3. Every single song i have bought won't play on my iPod. They transfer fine, but when i click on a bought song it simply skips over it
4. I authorized this computer but songs still need authorizing, and i have already authorized them
So we bought a new Mac and i plugged in my 30 GB video iPod for the first time. It showed up in iTunes then so i synced it to our new computer. Then i tried to listen to my bought songs and they simply wouldn't play. The iPod just skipped over them. I had one song out of three hundred or so that were bought actually play. Then i tried reauthorizing my new computer and getting rid of all the old computers that had been authorized. That didn't work, and the songs that actually needed to be authorized wouldn't be authorized even when i clicked on them.
So then i unplug and just listen to it as is for awhile but then i try plugging it in again and it just doesnt show up on my Mac desktop or iTunes. And the screen becomes frozen with the same message, 'Do Not Disconnect' I wait for a half an hour for it to show up and it never does. I have no choice to unplug it and then it is still frozen with that same message. Five hours pass, and it is still like that. It finally goes off and then it simply doesnt work. So i plug it in to my charger and its fine except the whole not playing bought songs business.
Please i beg if you have any answers to any of these problems HELP!!!!!

How can i remove the icloud from my iphone when i don't have the password?

You won't be able to delted the existing account without the password. If you don't know it, you'll have to reset it as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/PH2617. If you have trouble doing this, you can try contacting the Apple account security team for your country for assistance: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699. You will have to prove your identity before they will reset the password.
