Have iPhone 4s and iPad 2 both upgraded to ios6used to tether by wifi ok now will not help

Have iphone 4s and iPad 2. Used to be able to tether ipad to iphone as hotspot to backup ipad. Using i0s 6 on both now. Suddenly ipad will not connect to iphone wifi. iPad will connect through public wifi to complete backup. What to do?

Found solution to problem - others might want to read it so here goes:
My equipment and previous working setup:
iPhone 4s with IOS6; iPad 2 64 Gb WiFi and Celluar with IOS 6.
Have 6Gb "tablet share plan" which allows me to use the iPad on the iPhone plan.
Always tethered iPad to iPhone on WiFi to backup on iCloud instead of looking for public Hotspot.
Problem:
Suddenly iPad would not tether to iPhone on WiFi.
Tried repeatedly and would not work.
My solution:
Switched off Facetime on iPhone and iPad.
Deleted Facedial App on both iPhone and iPad.
Success!
Now iPad will tether to iPhone on WiFi and backup on iCloud.
Then switched on Facetime on iPhone and WiFi tether to iPhone Hotspot still works.
Have left Facetime off on iPad and have not reloaded Facedial.
Have run this several times and no further problem.
Conclusions:
Possible problem/bug with/in IOS 6?
Or with Facetime?
Or with Facedial?
Hope this helps others and lessons the frustration the problem can induce.

Yes it will, just sign out, then sign back in with the correct address.
Settings>iCloud>Sign Out.

For free using cellular voice or data? Forget it. Especially if you have Verizon. T-Mobile is the only US carrier with reasonable roaming rates and services. Verizon is the worst for International roaming.
If you have a WiFi connection you can use Facetime, Skype or similar apps for voice, and Yahoo Messenger, GoogleTalk, Twitter or similar for texting.
If you are eligible for an upgrade get an iPhone 5S from Verizon. It is unlocked for International use. So you can use an Israeli SIM while there. It won't be free, but it will be no more expensive than anyone in Israel pays.

About three days ago the ability to connect came and went and the connection never lasted more than 10-15 minutes; it has not been able to connect since last night. I do not think it's my wifi router as non-mac lap top has no issues. I have seem many similar questions posted.

Reboot your router by removing all power from it for about 15 seconds. Also, if your router still has its default SSID (such as LINKSYS, DLINK, NETGEAR, etc) change the SSID to something unique. Note that all other devices on your network will have to be reconnected if you change the name, but if the name is still the default that is most likely your problem.
If the SSID is not the default then the reboot should fix it.

You are not making out clear through what means you want to do this.
If you mean by syncing with iTunes, just do not select the apps that you do not want to sync to your device. Uncheck the apps that you dont want to sync. You can select the exact content that you want to sync to each device in iTunes.
If you are talking about download, turn off automatic downloads in Settings>iTunes & App Stores>Automatic Downloads>Apps>Off.

Updated ipad 2, had to dlete music for space to do update now will not sync and restore my music

ITUNES UPGRADED TO 11.0 ON WIN7...NOW WILL NOT OPEN

I i'm running win 7 on a tosh laptop. I upgraded ITunes to version 11.0 and now itunes will not open...have tried deinstalling and reinstalling and still won't open...help?!

Close iTunes
1) Plug in Device
2) Go to Device Manager/Portable Device
3) Right click- update driver
4) Browse my computer
5) Let me pick from list
6) Click Have Disk
7) Type in, or look for C:\Program Files
8) Go to Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device\Support Drivers
9) Dbl-CLick "usbaapl" file - let it do it's thing, until status bar is finished
Unplug Device- Open iTunes- plug in device- should work!

I should have explained further. The game opens in a new window over to the upper left of my screen, leaving the original page underneath. I tried minimizing it so that I could get to my toolbar and did the View > Zoom > Reset. This has no effect. The lower portion of the game is still not showing. Using other browsers the window or frame of the game is much larger, therefore everything shows.

My wife’s iPad was not downloading Yahoo mail, although her iPhone was. Both used IOS 8.2. We tried deleting the account several times and troubleshooting all of the other settings. The problem appears to have been that allowing the IOS to automatically create the account on the iPad resulted in the wrong settings for the incoming server. The following procedure, pieced together from two websites, fixed the problem for us. So far, so good.
