Have iPhones in UK, maybe moving to USA. What's best option?
I started 2 new iPhone 3G contracts in January for my wife and I. One at £45 p/m, the other at £35 p/m.
It's possible we'll be moving to the USA later this year. Don't know exactly when yet, but it could be October. By that point we'll be 8 or 9 months into the contracts.
I'd like us both to have iPhones in the USA.
Any suggestions as to the best way to do this?
Take them over to USA and start new AT&T contract? (will the phones work?)
Sell the handsets?
Can I cancel our contracts and pay a cancellation fee?
All suggestions welcome.
I'm guesing your with O2 being in the UK it's still worth checking with your carrier to see if they can unlock the iPhones (with an ETC and unlock fee of course) if you can do that you should be able to take the iPhones with you and then get a contract in the US
Especially since the laws in the UK are very similar to the ones here in Aus and we can do it here.

If you forgot (or don't know) your passcode, restore the device from backup on the last computer it was synced with when the passcode was turned on... this will remove the passcode. If you do not have access to the last computer it was synced with, or you don't have a backup, you will have to force it into recovery mode & restore as a new device.

i have an iPhone 5s 16gb. latest update is 8.0 ... i tried to download iOS 8.0.2 from boh way , iTunes and my phone but it keep shows me there is an error and i couldn't download new version .. so would u plz tell me what to do to sort this problem out.

You will either a) need to connect to WiFi and complete the download or b) dock your iPad and remove it from the apps list once synced (your iTunes will more then likely want to complete the download first also, which you may be able to cancel in the downloads section).

You should never try to turn on or charge a wet iPhone until it has dried for a week or so.
If you have tried to turn it on or charge it, then the damage is done.
You can buy an out of warranty replacement. I believe it is $249-ish in the U.S -
I have a scratch inside my screen...what are my options to fix it?
I don't nescessarily take extra good care of my computer but recently I didn't throw my computer or anything..but i have a scratch on my screen like inside, digitally, but theres no visible scratchh on the actual screen...not sure how it hpapened. But I just got my computer 5 months ago, so I still have the insurance from apple not sure if it covers it, but can i go in and they'll help me with this? or other options for fixing it? also some windows i open start shaking... please help
Since you're still under warranty, it wouldn't hurt to make an appointment at your local Apple Store or an AASP and have the techs take a look at it. If there's no 'physical' scratch then there may be a problem with your screen that can be fixed under warranty.
And open windows should not 'shake' - another thing that the techs to evaluate.

Ok, so I recently got a 160 GB ipod classic for Christmas, LOVE it. Loaded a ton of music, most of the space is taken up. Loaded everything in ALAC for the best quality. I did not save the music onto my computer as I went along, due to space available. I deleted as I uploaded each chunk of music to the pod. Here’s my question…. It took a lot of time to upload all of my music. A lot of the artwork I had to manually add etc…. I really don’t want to ever have to do this again, if something happens to my ipod or I get a new one. Now, I DO have all my music backed up in FLAC on an external hard drive… I know that format is not compatible with ipods, but is it easily able to be converted to ALAC if need be? I even have artwork from all my cd’s scanned on the drive as well. OR is there an easy way I can transfer all my music, including all art from my ipod to an external hard drive? Any advice/input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks very much.
Note: ALL of my music is loaded from my cd's, none is bought via itunes.Move your current library to your external drive. See Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device to pull the media on the device back into it.

My question is whats the best option to keep my current package with bt without moving it or cancelling it. Also i dont want anyone that may move into my old property to use my bt services.

I believe that BT can make your phone line either Outgoing Calls Barred or Temporary Out Of Service. You will still have to pay your normal phone/broadband charges.

hi, my iphone 5 has refused to restore after i updated it to ios7 ...... it will not turn on, it will not restore i do get an error 21 mesg and i have attempted a couple of fixes from the net, but nothing seems to work . i have no acces to my phone it just is dead whats my best option, do i need to send it to apple ?

Error 21 is part of a range of error codes generally indicating that other software is interfering with the restore process.

If you have software used to perform unauthorized modifications to the iOS device, uninstall this software prior to editing the hosts file to prevent that software from automatically modifying the hosts file again on restart.

Check with your carrier and see what they have available. AT&T has Microcells available that use your broadband internet connection to provide you with a boosted signal at home.

When I sync my iPhone 5 to Outlook 2010, the email addresses that I have listed as Email 1 for any given contact in my iPhone will be automatically moved to Email 3 in the Outlook file. Is there a way to fix this?
iCloud email supports 'plus' addressing. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Email_address#Address_tags
So your friend could just add '+research' to the username part of your email address, and you setup a rule at icloud.com to put all emails sent to that address into a particular folder.
For example:

There's no way to do it without rules on the server though. -

No, you do not. It simply is not possible to have a device that does not exist.
Most likely, you have an iPhone 4. There is no 4G iPhone.

Yes, it does work. It is carrier locked to AT&T, just like all GSM iPhones sold in the US since their introduction.
