Have my songs in my ipod, but can't play them from iTunes
recently imorted songs from CDs are in my ipod and, of course, listed in the library of iTunes, but when I try to play them usin iTunes, I am required "locate it because the original file cannot be found", although I can play those songs from my iPod without any problem. It wasn't like that before, so I guess I have changed something in iTunes setting or something like that.
Any ideas?

You may have accidentally moved your iTunes Music Folder. Do a search on your computer and when you locate it, put it back in My Documents>My Music>iTunes. If you don't keep your music in the iTunes folder but some other then you need to locate that one and put it back to it's original position.

What I am trying to do is very simple, and I am sure I have done it before.
I have an Apple TV (2nd Gen) connected to Wifi Network (Airport Extreme 802.11n) I want to stream content from the itunes library on my macbook pro over the wifi network to the Apple TV. This works no problem, home sharing is set up and I can see the itunes library under 'Computer' on the Apple TV interface. I can use the Apple Remote to scroll through and play content from my itunes. Works no problem.
Now I want to use the remote app on my ipad mini to control the apple tv. Using up to date app (Version 3.01) Again, everything looks like it should work. I have turned on Home Sharing on the remote app settings. It works fine and both my itunes library and Apple TV show up on the interface. I can touch the itunes icon and control the itunes on my computer and play music and video on my computer screen.
Now when I touch the apple tv icon I can't see my itunes library content to play on the apple tv. I see the below image. If I tap on the icon in the bottom left it takes me back to the screen in the first image. What is the strangest thing is that I can control the apple tv using the gestures interface! This isn't what I want though and I want to be able to see the itunes library on the screen of the ipad and play it on the apple tv. You can see in the video on this link (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UvEpgcE9KCs). This is what I am trying to do and I just don't understand why I don't get the screen seen at 1:25 in the video. Instead I get the screen seen in the below image.OK, Problem solved. Software on Apple TV was VERY outdated. It had been sitting in the box for over a year and needed an update. Problem solved!

I Bought Songs on Apple TV - But Can't Find them in iTunes on my iMac?
I love the new iTunes radio. We've already bought several songs on it using the Apple TV. I've just noticed that those songs aren't visible in iTunes running on my iMac. How can I correct this?
My Apple TV is on, and in it under Computers I can see my iMac - but I don't see my Apple TV under Devices in iTunes on my iMac.
My iMac is running OS X 10.8.5.

You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option from the Quick Links section in the top right corner of the iTunes homepage in your iTunes application on your computer. -
All songs in iTunes uploaded but can't play them from Macbook

I've matched and uploaded all of my iTunes library to iCloud through iTunes Match. The problem that I have is that if I try to play a track from my Macbook I just get an error message saying:
'The Song ____ could not be used because the original file could not be found. Would you like to locate it?'
Before I got iTunes Match I stored my library on an external HDD. Could this be the problem? And if so does anyone know how I can play my iTunes library from my Macbook without having to connect the external HDD?

DYes, the HDD is the problem.
You need to actually delete the songs from your library to stop iTunes from looking for the files on the HDD.
Select all your music in iTunes and delete it, making sure that you don't check the box saying to delete it from the cloud as well. Also make sure you choose to keep the original files (unless you have them backed up elsewhere).
Once you have done that the songs should stream from the cloud. -
How it it I have 550 songs on my nano but only 269 show up in itunes without playlists? How do I get all 550 songs and playlists back into itunes?

My songs that I purchased on my itunes account from my dad's computer will not play on my new computer, I have access to my entire account but can only play songs purchased using my new computer. Does anyone have any ideas?

Have you authorized the Computer to your Apple ID?
If not, sign on to iTunes.
Then got to the Store menu option at the top of the screen (CTL+B if it is not showing), and click on it to display the dropdown, and select Authorize this computer.
If that doesn't work, then sign on your Dad's iTunes ID and repeat the Authorization process.

You should have at least 10% of your total storage.
1 GB is not enough, you need to delete more

Can somebody help me get rid of these exclamation points so that I can download all my songs to my iPod? Please? I don't know why they appeared, as I did have the songs working before and they were on my iPod. But, I didn't want ALL of them on there and I didn't know I could "select" which songs to send to the iPod. However, it's been a few months since I messed with it. But, yesterday, when I went to select my songs, I noticed all these excalamation points on everything that was there. Help, please! Again, I can't play them from my computer AND they won't download to my iPod!
Thanks,This happens if the file is no longer where iTunes expects to find it. Possible causes are that you or some third party tool has moved, renamed or deleted the file, or that the drive it lives on has had a change of drive letter. It is also possible that iTunes has changed from expecting the files to be in the pre-iTunes 9 layout to post-iTunes 9 layout,or vice-versa, and so is looking in slightly the wrong place.
Select a track with an exclamation mark, use Ctrl-I to get info, then cancel when asked to try to locate the track. Look on the summary tab for the location that iTunes thinks the file should be. Now take a look around your hard drive(s). Hopefully you can locate the track in question. If a section of your library has simply been moved, or a drive letter has changed, it should be possible to reverse the actions.
Alternatively, as long as you can find a location holding the missing files, then you should be able to use my FindTracks script to reconnect them to iTunes.

Please open Terminal and issue the following command
ls -ladO /epoche/Music/iTunes/iTunes\ Music
you should get a line similar to this
drwxrwxrwx 13 yourusername staff hidden 442 12 Mar 21:49 /epoche/Music/iTunes/iTunes Music
Numbers, date and time may differ.
If you see hidden then the folder is hidden. To unhide "iTunes Music", in Terminal issue the following command
chflags nohidden /epoche/Music/iTunes/iTunes\ Music -
