Your iCloud backup only included max. the photos of your camera roll, so if you still have access to your old iPad and if it is still connected to wifi, then I would recommend using another photo storage option like Flickr (Website: http://flickr.com, App: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/flickr/id328407587?mt=8) or Dropbox for uploading/storing and accessing your photos from your devices. Of course you could also sync your photos via iTunes on your computer by connecting your devices to your Mac/PC.

After upgrading to Mountain Lion, I repurchased Garageband and I can't get passed the complete installation. I've read through several posts that all reference the "com.apple.garageband.plist" solution. I don't seem to have the referenced .plist. Any solutions or suggestions?

The property list stores your preferences, but also the settings from the last run of the application. If that file is corrupted in some way, you might see third behaviour.
You must have this file, for it will be recreated automatically, if it is missing, or you have a permissions problem with your user library.
Perhaps you did look in he wrong place.
in MacOS 10.7. or later the User Library is hidden. To find the Preferences Files use the Finder's "Go" menu:
Quit GarageBand, if it is running.
Click onto you Desktop to bring the Finder forward.
In the Finder Menu press "Go" and hold down the "option/alt" key, until your user library appears in the drop-down menu
Select "Library" and in the Finder window that opens navigate to the "Prederences" folder; move com.apple.garageband.plist to the Desktop.
Log off and on again (don't skip that step!). Retry GarageBand and see if it GarageBand is now downloading the missing content properly.
If that does not fix the problem, post back and explain in more detail what the download problem is.
Why did you "repurchase" GarageBand? If you already owned GarageBand '11, it should be unnecessary.

I haven't used my IMac in a long time and went to boot it up, and I find I don't remember the correct username and password (I use several computers..I try to keep the passwords similar, with a number for the chronological order in which I started using them) I've tried all the others I use for passwords. The 'hint" keeps coming up for the password I am pretty sure is the correct one, but, still cannot get in. I also don't remember whether I changed my surname on the computer...it was changed legally a little while ago, but some of my older devices still have my birth-name in there)

I don't think I ever set up a "master password" on the thing...I never use those. I am the only person with access to my personal devices.

I used the wrong password to join my new belkin wifi. Now that I have the correct password, I can not get the to the join screen with the space to type in the password. I continue to get the unable to join message. I have put the touch to sleep and I have turned on and off the wifi and join options on the Network screen page. Does anyone know how to get pass this block of the wrong password to a new page that will allow me to type in the correct password. I see there is a option that asks if I want to reset the network settings.. is that what I should do? and what does it erase when I do that? Thanks for any input anyone has.

I have just bought an ipad mini - and just went thru the start of the set up till the wi fi - it does not reconise my password!! which is correct.... i can't go any further and am very stuck.... help pleaseHi again.... i did restart the router - and still didn't like my password - my brother connected to the same network last week on his ipad 2??? Its my parents wi fi??? so can't look into it now - would it be easier for me to try via my PC itunes and do it that way ?? as i do not understand how to log into the rounter - sorry not a computer geek :-(

How do I bypass the security questions to purchase with itunes. I never answered them in the first place. I don't have a reset security questions at the bottom of the page either
You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; this can be done by phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, or clicking here and picking a method, or if your country isn't listed in either article, filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

Your phone is "activation locked". It cannot be used unless this lock is removed by the previous owner of the iPhone. If the seller can't help you then ask for a refund of your money.
Apple won't help you. Note that the iPhone you bought may well be stolen property.. -

First try restarting your device
If your back up continually fails, you might try turning off back up on your mobile device (settings > iCloud > storage & backup) and then deleting the backup file from iCloud by swiping the backup file on the mobile device (settings > iCloud > storage & backup > manage…) and then turning back up on again. -
Someone please help me connect my two devices together so that I don't have to purchase yet another item. Is there an app or something that would allow me to connect my Mac Mini to my iPad 2 wirelessly. I can't get passed the password screen because the wireless Keyboard will no longer connect to my Mac ...helllllppp .... I use it for both my iPad and my Mac mini....does that matter?
If your iPad is close enough to your keyboard and Mini
and if the iPad is merely in standby and not off, the
connection to the iPad is still active. Therefore, the
keyboard will not connect to the Mini.
If the iPad is far enough away to break the Bluetooth
connection or you unpair from the iPad or you turn the
iPad off, then the keyboard should connect just fine with the Mini.
Most Bluetooth HID's (Human Interface Device) can only service
one host at a time. This is by design. -
Time Machine can't get past the Preparing stage now
I found the document about partitioning the external HD as GUID. Did that and it seemed to work better.
I completed one full backup. The issue has always been it running while other things were running. It seems to lock the machine. CPU panic etc.
So I did a clean install of Leopard, moved my files over from backup. Partitioned the external LaCie 1TB drive as GUID and was able to complete a full back up.
Later, I installed iWork '08. TM was running. The install froze. TM was stuck. Force Quit did nothing. I knew from experience the only way out was to power down the LaCie external drive. I did this and was able to force quit the iWork '08 install. I started the iWork install over and it worked.
However, even after running DU to check out the external drive, when trying to run TM it can't get passed the Preparing... stage of a backup. I suspect if I delete the backup and let it start over it would work again. For a time.
Any ideas?
