1 years ago i have bought laptop Hp probook 4530s
by wrong i deleted everything on it so how can i have a new recovery disk?
and how can i download the orginal copy of windows 7 home premium 64 bit?
and thanks

If you can read the 25 character Microsoft Windows 7 license key attached to bottom of laptop , you can download a Windows 7 ISO file to burn to a DVD for the version that is listed on the Microsoft COA sticker.
Link to the Windows 7 ISO file downloads:
http://www.mydigitallife.info/official-windows-7-sp1-iso-from-digital-river/
Get ImgBurn to burn the iso image to DVD using slow burn speed.
Or use the Windows 7 USB/DVD installation tool to convert the ISO file to a Windows installation on DVD or USB flash drive.
http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msstore/html/pbPage.Help_Win7_usbdvd_dwnTool
Use the 25 character product key on the PC to activate the installation.
Next go to your support and driver page to install the drivers you need.

    Hello
If your notebook was delivered with Windows XP, you cant order a recovery disk online. In this case you have to contact an authorized service provider in your country. The guys should be able to order a new recovery disk for you.
    Here you can search:

    Good luck! :)

The recovery disk cant be downloaded.
If you need a new recovery disk you must ask your local ASP. They can order it.
On the Toshiba website you can search for an ASP:

  • Blue screen with error code and I have no recovery disks for HP Pavilion dv6-1260se

I do not have recovery disks for this computer.  I tried to order them but them seem to not be available.  This is my daughter's computer.  She says she started to have trouble after downloading Frost Wire (music share) and then she removed it.  We tried going back to an earlier time and that didn't help and then the blue screen with error message appeared. What do I do now?

    Hi,
Assuming your in the US, recovery discs are available to order for that model here.  That may be the best option.
You should also be able to do a recovery without the discs as well.  Take a look at this document: Recover Windows Vista Operating System Using HP Recovery, and look for the section Restore the PC to its original condition with the HP Recovery Manager if Windows Vista is not accessible.  This should allow you to recover the PC.

  • I have been working around proI am advised to reinstall Lion. I don't have a recovery disk, I downloaded it but screwed up making the disk. Can anyone tell me how to get this.

I have had a number of problems since installing Lion on my iMac and am going to try reinstalling. I can't seem to find the recovery disk material from the App store. I downloaded it but think I should have copied the disk image rather than trying to open it as an App. You live and learn eh!
Will someone tell me how to get this.

The Lion Recovery disk is accessed by booting while holding down the command-r keys. To do a reinstall you do need an internet connection.

  • I have no recovery disk or Drive! How can I upgrade or restore?

I bought my Mac (2008) running OS X 10.6.8 second hand in 2010 and never had a problem until now.
It seems to be running extremely slow at times and I have ran diagnostics checks with the hard drive seemingly OK, Ram is Ok, plenty of storage free, not running excessive processes/programs at one time and with nothing clogging up the desktop.
So with this in mind, I've tried to upgrade to Mavericks to find that when it's 'preparing to install' it gets to the final second and stalls for hours.  At this point I decided to try and restore the comp to run OS X 10.6.8 to find that the div who sold me the comp sent the wrong OS!
Now I have no recovery drive, no disk to restore the Mac and I'm kinda stuck.  Any advice would be much appreciated!

Buy a copy of Snow Leopard (10.6) on disk and install it.
    Buy Snow Leopard on Disk.
Never try to fix problems by upgrading, it doesn't work. Fix the problems then upgrade.
    Good luck.

  • Updating Win8 to Win8 Media Center! Will New Recovery Disk include update?

Reading the manual says that making a set of recovery DVD's will return laptop to purchased state. I was hoping new set would included the media center files.
    Thank you for any advice.

    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Toshiba recovery discs always restore the hard disk to its original out-of-the-box contents, Tom.
It's not difficult to upgrade from there using the product key you have.
In order to back up your current disk, you'll need to use third-party software.
Always tell us which computer you have when you post here. There is a label on the bottom.

If you installed the new Message beta program, it replaces iChat.  It should have what you need to do iChats.
You can use the uninstaller within the Message program to uninstall it and replace your iChat.
Disregard if you didn't download Messages beta.

  • INSATLLED NEW HARD DRIVE DON'T HAVE RECOVERY DISK

Don't have the recovery disk for my laptop

    Hi:
You can see if you can get a set of recovery disks by reading the info at the link below.

If your notebook came with Windows Vista or Windows 7 and you can read the 25 character product key on the bottom of your notebook (DON'T POST IT), I have a workaround where you can make your own genuine Vista or W7 installation disk and use the Windows product key on your notebook to activate the installation.
Just let me know if you have Vista or W7 as the instructions are vastly different.

  • Non system disk error with recovery disks--New hard drive

    HP Pavillion Model a6632f
Ordered new recovery disks from HP after installing brand new hard drive.  Getting errors trying to boot/install.  Now what?

It sounds like the boot device order is not set correctly. Please try this:
    1. Remove the recovery disk (cd) from the optical drive (CD/DVD drive) if you have it loaded. Make sure the only
peripherals  (cables) you have connected to the tower are the monitor, mouse, keyboard and main power.
    2. Start the computer and immediately strike the F10 key to boot into the BIOS Screen
    3. Once in the BIOS screen, strike the F5 key to reload the BIOS default settings.
    4. A message will pop up asking if you wish to SAVE & EXIT BIOS?
    5. Respond YES and exit.
The computer should attempt to boot up at this point. Go ahead and open the CD/DVD drive tray and insert
the 1 of system recovery disk and close the drive tray. Immediately force power off on the tower by pushing and
holding the power button. Once power goes off, allow appx 10-20 seconds and power the tower back on. If
reloading the default BIOS settings has corrected the system boot device order, the computer should now boot
immediately from the Optical Drive (CD drive) and begin the system recovery.

  • When restart in Lion to Boot Camp am offered: Mac, Windows, and Recovery Disk. Recovery Disk is new. What is it and how does it work?

Uaing Lion. When restart with Boot Camp, am now offered 3 options: Mac, windows, and (new) RECOVERY disk choices. Where did Recovery come from and for what?? Thanks for comments.

  • I have compaq cq50. was VISTA upgraded to WIN 7. Recovery disks not working. BOOTMGR compressed

will not boot up.  I have 2 recovery disks, the 1 of 2 will take but 2 of 2 disk doesnt run.

    Hi:
If you are trying to use the Vista recovery disks and they are not working, and you can read your Vista product key on the bottom of your notebook, then you can make your own Vista installation disk by reading the guidance below.
If you're up to a slight but rewarding challenge you can make your own if you can read your 25 character Vista product key on the PC.
Just download the 3 files you need at the link below, and read all of the instructions to create a bootable DVD installation disk using imageburn.
Disregard the part of the text under the first screen shot about "extract the files to the Vista folder."
The files were already extracted to that folder when you ran the X14.exe file by reading the text on top of the first screen shot.
The other thing I noticed is on the 4th screen shot, where it shows Developer ID Microsoft Corporation. I had to type Microsoft Corporation in myself, and then the other codes automatically populated.
When I went to compile the ISO file, ImageBurn gave a message that about a WIM file and ISO, and if I wanted to burn it in a different format.
I selected No, make the ISO file.
It was not that hard to do. I burned both the 64 bit disk and the 32 bit disk in case I ever need them.
I tested both of them an my hp dc7100 CMT desktop PC, they worked perfectly.
When you enter the product key, it knows what version of Vista you have.
    http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/software-os/w/microsoft_os/3317.2-3-microsoft-windows-v....
After you successfully install Vista, you can then install the drivers from your PC's support and driver page.

  • Recovery disk Creator & data partition won't work - Satellite L300

My niece asked me to re-install her Toshiba Satellite L300 laptop, because the windows installation is rather buggy. She didn't have a recovery disk. Using Toshiba's Recovery Disk Creator I tried creating a recovery disk.
However, the program wouldn't start. Checking the directory of the program, it would seem that the program simply isn't there. Afterwards, I checked the data partition of the laptop.
There was a map with HDD recovery. However when using Windows' advanced boot (F8 before Windows startup) there was no choice of repairing the notebook. They only choices were the standard windows options (Save mode, normal start, etc.).
In short, it seems impossible to re-install the notebook with the current information at hand.
What would be the next course of action? Is it possible to order a recovery CD from Toshiba?
Another niece has the same notebook, would it be possible to use that notebook to create a recovery disk?
I'll appreciate and look forward to your reactions.

    Hi
It looks like something has been changed on the HDD
However, fact is youve no Recovery disk and you cannot use HDD recovery option.
This means you need to order a new Recovery disk from Toshiba.
    You can do this here:
    https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx
PS: one tip if you would use a search option of this forum, you would find the right answer too ;)
