Have replaced the normal.dotm in Windows 8 in %appdata%\Microsoft\Templates\ and in %appdata%\Microsoft\Word\Startup. None of my customizations have come over. Keeps reverting to default. Where else can I look?
None of the above helps. Brand new computer and I want my normal.dotm to populate. Have copied it into all the know locations but when I open word it is still the default template which has none of my autotext, or toolbars.

The first path (%appdata%\Microsoft\Templates\) looks correct. I have tried this on my own computer and that works for me. Not sure what’s the root problem, but please follow my steps exactly below and try again to see if it works this time:
1.Navigate to %appdata%\Microsoft\Templates\
2.Rename existing Normal.dotm to a different name, say Normal.dotm.old.
3.Copy your own Normal.dotm file to %appdata%\Microsoft\Templates\
Please then close and restart Word to see if it works this time.

Looking at the gpo (I didn't do this by the way) it runs a bat file that does and xcopy of the folders that contain the normal.dotmHello fellow Spice folks!So in a firm of approx. 200, we use a normal.dotm file, pushed out by GPO, for company styles, AutoText templates etc. When a change to the template is needed, we (or I) update the master copy, and let the GPO copy it back to client machines.Problem with this is quite often the client version of the normal.dotm gets corrupt, grows in size from people saving data to it some how (from the 730kb template to 2 or 3mb) causing issues when opening word and pissing of the users, and in turn me ! This method seems pretty barbaric to me, given that a firm I worked with 3 years ago used the same technique to publish company styles and saw same problems.What technology / method do you employ to distribute a shared company style to your client machines ?If I like it , I want it too !

You may try the list (or go straight to 6) if you have updated to Yosemite without reinstalling).
The following is a general list of things you may try when the issue is not in a specific file (you may have tried/done some of them already); 1) and 2) are the easy ones for temporary strangenesses, and 3) and 4) are specifically aimed at possibly corrupt preferences); 5) is a list in itself, and 6) is the last resort.
If possible/applicable, you should save curent artwork first, of course.
1) Close down Illy and open again;
2) Restart the computer (you may do that up to 3 times);
3) Close down Illy and press Ctrl+Alt+Shift/Cmd+Option+Shift during startup (easy but irreversible);
4) Move the folder (follow the link with that name) with Illy closed (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible);
5) Look through and try out the relevant among the Other options (follow the link with that name, Item 7) is a list of usual suspects among other applications that may disturb and confuse Illy, Item 15) applies to CC, CS6, and maybe CS5);
Even more seriously, you may:
6) Uninstall, run the Cleaner Tool (if you have CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6/CC), and reinstall.

I have had the same problem. It was cured by turning computer off and/or restarting it. I am not sure if once was enough. I think shutting down must cut out whatever it is that blocks bluetooth. Good luck

Since i got the new Iphone 4s it constantly drops calls. Apple have replaced the phone with another new iphone 4s but i am still having the same problem. I have checked with vodapohe that there is no issue from there end, given a new sim, still drops out

I have created a site with iWeb. I have replaced the iWeb Nav bar with a vertical one I made myself. Problem is, my top button disables itself (and the animation doesn't work) if it overlaps into the "hidden" nav bar area (indicated by a blue rectangle). I can cmd click and drag it into this area, but then all the rest of my site is pushed down the page. Don't know what to do about this. I don't know how to bring the rest of the page up without dragging it also into the designated nav bar area. Getting confused here. Anyone got any ideas?Well, you made a good start with SEO by getting rid of the iWeb default navigation since it doesn't help the spiders and, out there in the real world, there are more people than you would think with javascript turned off in their browsers.
One of the downsides of iWeb is that it doesn't allow for the alt attribute in the img tag. Its well worth adding these to give you extra keywords even if you have captioned all your images. Use iWeb SEO Tool for this...

Hold the power key on the keyboard down for 5 secs to power off, tap the power button once to start. It should connect automatically.

It is disabled and I need to do a restart. I have tried on 2 different computers. I have replaced the cord. I have un-installed and reinstalled Itunes more times then I can count.
