Have run out of room on iweb, can't publish. Can I delete data and reclaim space?

I have been working on my website for ages, constantly doing and redoing and saving each time. Now I get a message that I've run out of room & can't publish. I kow I can buy more space, but it's annoying because I'm sure there is a mass of trash I could delete from the changes I've made. But where is it, and how can I dump it. Is it possible?

It's a regular error with MobileMe. Usually it says that you run oit of space.
Since the editing features of this forum do not function properly on an iPad , i paste the search url

Apps in iTunes in the cloud and photos in photostream do not use your allocated i~Cloud space.

  • I have a macbook, 2Ghz 10.5.8 which is running out of room. Should I add all memory I can and will upgrading to mountain Lion use that all up before i even begin?

I have a macbook using 10.5.8, 2 Gb memory which is running out of room. I use it mostly for photos/videos. How much memory can i add and when i upgrade through snow leopard to mountain lion what will it cost andwill that use up all the newly added memory?

You can put in any 2.5" form factor SATA drive that is 9.5mm or less in height. For RAM we need to know whether you have the 2.0 Ghz or 2.13 Ghz processor model 5.2 MacBook. The model 5,2 (Early 2009, 2.0GHz Model Only) can use 6gb of 200 pin 667mhz PC2-5300 RAM. The model 5,2 (Mid 2009, 2.13GHz Model Only) can use 6gb of 200 pin 800mhz PC2-6400 RAM.

To transfer your current hard drive I like the free application SuperDuper. It makes a bootable copy of everything on your hard drive http://www.shirt-pocket.com/SuperDuper/SuperDuperDescription.html  You'll need a cheap SATA external hard drive case. Put the new drive in the case then format and partition the new drive and clone your old drive to the new one. Check that it's set up right by booting up from the external drive. Then replace your old hard drive with the new one and put your old one in the external case.

You should take the time to familiarize yourself with the documentation that is available.  You can "uncheck" a song in iTunes, and then do a manual update.

  • HT4236 I've run out of room on my hard drive. I bought an external drive and exported all my albums to the external drive then deleted the albums from iPhoto. I want to sync both from my ext drive and new albums in iPhoto. No dice. Help!

I've run out of room on my hard drive. I bought an external drive and exported all my albums to the external drive then deleted the albums from iPhoto. I want to sync both from my ext drive and new albums in iPhoto. My photos on the devices get wiped out when I sync to iPhoto since I deleted all the albums. But when I sync to my hard drive (where I maintained the album structure) the photos are copied to my iPad but lose all the hierarchy and folder structure. Now I have to scroll through thousands of photos to try to find the one I'm looking for. Before I sync any more devices I want to know the following: 1) can I restore the album structure on my iPad by using the photo cache? 2) is there a way to sync both new iPhoto albums AND pictures in the folders in my hard drive? And 3) how can I keep the photo hierarchy structure from my hard drive intact on my devices?

    Don't do that.
Copy /Photos/Photo library/ to the external.
    Hold Option and launch iPhoto.
Select Choose library and select the Photo library you copied to the external.

  • Running out of room..

Okay "My Library" on iTunes is set on my C drive. My C drive is running out of room. Now I have a D drive that is brand new. How do I transfer all the music from the C and set it up to the D?

    Try this:
Move all of your files to a file on your D drive, perhaps C:\itunes\itunes music to D:\itunes\itunes music.
Then open iTunes and click on Edit - Preferences and then open the advanced tab.
On the Advanced tab you will see a window that indicates the looaction of the music folder. You should be able to just change C to D. If not, then click on "Change" and you can select the folder.

  • Running out of room - combine drives?

I've got two internal flash drives and I am running out of room on my start-up disk. Its almost all programs. Can I span the two drives into one? The star-up is 240 gig and the second is 120 gig. Or can I move some of these programs to the second disk?

    Hi Babdi,
That's of some help - at least now I know that it is sound files that are taking the biggest chunk of memory, but I need a better break down than that. For example, I have files belonging to over 20 podcasts - I would like to see which particular podcast is taking up the most room and trim that one. As it is, I can see all individual sound files in the folder:
    Memory Card\Podcasts\Sounds
but it isn't immediately obvious which file belongs to which podcast, and there is no way for me to logically sort them into their categories..
Any other things I can try?
Thank you very much btw - you still showed me something useful.

  • Running out of room on my Nokia N95 8GB

    Hi All,
I am running out of room on my Nokia N95. On my Windows drives for a situation like this, I usually turn to a utility like WinDirStat or TreeSize to tell me how much each folder has, because Win XP by itself doesn't let me see the size of all sub-folders for any given folder.
However, using Nokia PC Suite, the path to my memory card is not accessible to either WinDirStat or TreeSize. In Explorer, it looks like:
    Nokia Phone Browser\Kermit the N95 8GB\Memory Card
But the path in WinDirStat and TreeSize comes up more like, neither of which can work with this:
    ::{20D2AFE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08006A30309D}\::{416651E4-9C3C-11D9-9BDE-F66BBD1E3F3A}\359542013516644\E:
So, how do I get a proper idea of where my space is going?
    Any assistance appreciated.

  • How do I use an external hard drive with iMovie 10.0.1? I have run out of disk space on my Macbook Air.

How do I use an external drive with iMovie 10.0.1?  It is not obvious and I have run out of space.

If you want to move a complete iMovie 10 library (file with .imovielibrary extension) click on the library in the libraries pane and select  File - Consolidate Library Media.  This ensures that all media is copied to the library.  You can then move the library onto your external drive using Finder.  The first time to want to access it from iMovie you will have to tell it where it is by choosing  File - Open Library -Other and navigating to it.
If you only want to transfer part of a library to another drive, create a new library a at the desired location  File - Open Library - New  and copy projects and events to it from within iMovie.
Its all described in iMovie help - "Work with multiple libraries".

Edge has very clear restrictions, one being that you must have 6 months of clean payment history which you don't. Either wait until April 14, or good luck at Sprint.
I am unsure how it can be determined the payment mix up was the fault of CS, but regardless, the mix up was done. There can be any number of reasons why a payment could be missed without any fault on your part, however you are still the responsible party for the account and must live with the repercussions.

  • I need to delete all my pictures off of my iPhone because I have run out of storage.  I have downloaded all pics to my mac but is my entire camera roll backed up on iCloud as well? I just want to make sure before I delete them from the phone.

I need to delete all my photos off my iphone because I have run out of local storage.  I have synced with my Mac but also wanted online backup.  Are all my photos from the camera roll uploaded to iCloud?  I just want to make sure I can retrieve them after I erase from the phone and in case my Mac crashes.

Import photos through iPhoto. (You will prompt to delete from iPhone when import competes).
Backup your Mac. (At least the iPhoto Library)
    Backup to iTunes.
Backup to iCloud. (Check in Settings>iCloud>Storage and Backup>Manage Storage>your device name>Camera Roll ON).

  • How do i resolve an issue where i have run out of application memory?

My imac says i have run out of application memory and that i should quit applications. How do i resolve this issue?

The message has nothing to do with low disk space.
There is excessive swapping of data between physical memory (that is, the memory chips on the logic board) and virtual memory (one or more files on the startup volume.) That activity is relatively slow and causes the whole system to be less responsive. It can happen for two reasons:
A long-running process with a memory leak (a kind of bug)
Not enough memory for your usage pattern
Tracking down a memory leak can be difficult, and it may come down to a process of elimination.
These instructions are for OS X 10.9 ("Mavericks.") The procedure may be slightly different for earlier versions of OS X.
When you notice the swap activity, open the Activity Monitor application and select All Processes from the View menu, if it's not already selected. Select the Memory tab. Click the heading of the Real Mem column in the process table twice to sort the table with the highest value at the top. If you don't see that column, select
View ▹ Columns ▹ Real Memory
    from the menu bar.
If one process (excluding "kernel_task") is using much more memory than all the others, that could be an indication of a leak. A better indication would be a process that continually grabs more and more real memory over time without ever releasing it. Here is an example of how it's done.
The processes named "Safari Web Content" render web pages for Safari. They use a lot of memory and may leak if certain Safari extensions or third-party web plugins are installed. Consider them prime suspects.
Another process often implicated in memory leaks is "inkjet4" or "inkjet8," which is a component of the HP printing software. If it's present, force-quit the process in Activity Monitor to solve the problem temporarily. Empty the print queues in the Printers & Scanners preference pane (which has a slightly different name in each recent version of OS X.) If you don't use an HP printer, remove the software. Otherwise, if the problem is recurrent, update the software (which may not help) or contact HP support.
"Wired" memory should be a small part of the total. That memory is not swapped, but it makes less physical memory available which may then result in swapping. If you have a lot of wired memory, that's usually an indication of a memory leak in a third-party program that modifies the operating system at a low level. Ask for guidance in that case.
If you don't have an obvious memory leak, your options are to install more memory (if possible) or to run fewer programs simultaneously.
The next suggestion is only for users familiar with the shell. For a more precise, but potentially misleading, test, run the following command:
sudo leaks -nocontext -nostacks process | grep total
where process is the name of a process you suspect of leaking memory. Almost every process will leak some memory; the question is how much, and especially how much the leak increases with time. I can’t be more specific. See the  leaks(1) man page and the Apple developer documentation for details.

  • My iPad keeps showing a message that I have run out of storage space.  I purchased more iCloud space in settings, but this message is still showing.  It also won't sync when I plug in to my computer...??

My iPad keeps showing a message that I have run out of storage space.  I have purchased more iCloud space in settings, but I am still getting this message.  I also am not able to sync my iPad in iTunes when plugging in to my computer.

The storage space is the iPad storage space, not iCloud storage space. What size Ipad do you have?
How much space is your Other using? You may be able to reduce.
How Do I Get Rid Of The “Other” Data Stored On My iPad Or iPhone?
    http://tinyurl.com/85w6xwn
With an iOS device, the “Other” space in iTunes is used to store things like documents, settings, caches, and a few other important items. If you sync lots of documents to apps like GoodReader, DropCopy, or anything else that reads external files, your storage use can skyrocket. With iOS 5, you can see exactly which applications are taking up the most space. Just head to Settings > General > Usage, and tap the button labeled Show All Apps. The storage section will show you the app and how much storage space it is taking up. Tap on the app name to get a description of the additional storage space being used by the app’s documents and data. You can remove the storage-hogging application and all of its data directly from this screen, or manually remove the data by opening the app. Some applications, especially those designed by Apple, will allow you to remove stored data by swiping from left to right on the item to reveal a Delete button.

  • W350 help needed - runs out of room synching my Outlook Notes

I have about 50 short notes saved in Outlook Notes that I would like to have synched with my W350 phone.  Trouble is, that when I synch, I run out of room for these Notes at around #40.
My question:  My phone has a 2GB ram chip in it.  If I go to a bigger chip, will I be able to download all the notes?  Trouble is, I am not sure if the phone uses this extra memory for Notes, or if it's in some kind of built-in memory in the phone.  I don't keep music or anything other than Contacts and Calendar items on the phone.
    Thanks for your help.

Hi there, unfortunately notes are sync'ed to the internal memory of the phone. The internal memory is about 14MB so it is limited, I'm not aware of any software to allow you to sync directly with the memory card
