Okay, there's the clue.
Don't try to do things the same way you did on the Samsung, learn instead how to do it with iTunes/iPhone.
I assume the songs in your iTunes Library have a tick-in-the-box to the left of each song title? (They should).
I assume also, that the songs have their titles etc listed.
Connect the iPhone to your computer and wait for it to show up in your iTunes.
On the left hand side window, look for Device.
Select Device and look on the Summary pane. There should be a box named Sync Music, does it have a tick-in-the-box? Once again, it should.
By the time you get to look at that, the Sync process will be under way, so if you have to change the tick-box setting on the Summary pane, you will need to wait for the first Sync to finish and then press the Sync button to make the change take effect.
Once the Sync has completed, use the eject button (next to the Device) to disconnect the iPhone.
On the iPhone, look in the Music section, is your music there?

There is no way to export Faces information.
I'm not sure why you would do this:

If space is an issue then move the whole Library to an external drive:
Make sure the drive is formatted Mac OS Extended (Journaled)
1. Quit iPhoto
2. Copy the iPhoto Library from your Pictures Folder to the External Disk.
3. Hold down the option (or alt) key while launching iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Choose Library' and navigate to the new location. From that point on this will be the default location of your library.
4. Test the library and when you're sure all is well, trash the one on your internal HD to free up space.

Surprisingly, I just went to the crash reporter and there were no reports re: the iPhoto issue. This is the only report I found, which I not sure is related to the iPhoto issue:

As for the TimeCapsule indeed, I use it as an extended drive but I'm surprised it would be considered a FAT-32 formatted drive as this is an Apple device.
I asked the apple reps if I could use the TimeCapsule for such purpose and no one raised a concern. It's also surprising that I didn't have an issue with this prior to the upgrade to OS X Yosemite.
Having said the above, thank you for your help - if the TimeCapsule is indeed the issue, perhaps I can solve the issue by transferring the iphoto library to an OS extended hard drive.

I have tried everything. When I open my iTunes, the iPad icon comes up on the top right and shows the circling arrows and at the top is has iTunes Match, sending info to Apple. When I click the iPad icon, it states my iOS 6.1.3. and is up-to-date. I have a 32 GB Wi-Fi iPad. It says I have 28.34 capacity left. I have it set to automatically back up on iCloud (I have 15 GB of space in iCloud). At the bottom it says I have 447 photos and 42 apps. However, I can count that I only have 31 pictures that I see in my Photos.
I probably have the almost 500 photos on my phone, though. And I'm able to get some music to my phone**.
Under Options I have checked: Open iTunes when this iPad is connected, Sync this iPad over Wi-Fi, and sync only checked songs.
Today I tried dragging a number of playlists to the iPad icon. It didn't go to my iPad; **however, now it's on my phone.
When I open the music app in my iPad, the cloud icon shows up and the bar under it fills up, it says there's no music.
Appreciate any help...they tell me I am not eligible for tech support via chat.

Error -3231 Keeps coming up. I have spent hours and hours on this. Spoken with several people at Apple. Nothing they suggest works. This is so frustrating!!

iMatch error -3231. No matter what Apple suggest, absolutely nothing works. My songs upload to iMath then come to a complete halt at around 1646 of 5086 songs. All my songs are taken from CDs I have purchased in stores, or purchased from iTunes.

The senior advisor was put on after the original advisor got stuck as to what to do. She had advised Deleting all my data and starting again as if I had anew computer. I told her this was out of the question as I had over 4000 photos, plus emails, documents, downlaods etc.
So I was passed to the Senoir Advisor who did much the same as the orher advisors had. We tried to use Migration Assistant but it did not give that as an option. I unplugged the Iomega hard drive to see if that was causing any problems. It uses a Firewire connection. We set up a temporary account, which is where all the data is now. The new account is as if the computer is new and as yet has no settings.
A previous advisor who was very helpful told me that after we had deleted the Lion Operating System that I should ask the next Advisor to "use Migration Assistant in first time setup visit, in order to restore Applications and User Account" .
All of them talked about Time Machine, but no-one including the Senior Advisor seems to be able to fix it. It was bought new from the Apple Store in Southampton in June 2011.
Currently it works sporadically on the three problem Applications. This is not good enough, and although I have contacted the Senior Advisor three times since by email I have had no response. Could it be something mechanical like a loose connection in the heart of the machine? It is driving me mad and taking up hours and hours of my life.

Sat here for hours and still cannot connect to the internet

Hi there,
I have been sat here now about around 6 hours trying to figure this out. I just bought a Philips SNA6500 ADSL Wireless Base Station to connect to the internet. I am at present using my speedtouch usb modem to connect. I have tried and tried to connect to no avail. I am on BT Broadband and put in all my details on Internet Connect, but it continuously states that it can not connect to the PPP Server. It connects via Ethernet, but wont load any websites at all.
Sorry if this has been posted before, I have checked through most of the posts and couldn't find anything.
Thank you for any help if anyone knows - I really hope they can!

I dont know the Philips SNA6500 but from a brief Google it would appear that it has an ADSL modem built in. Why are you using the Speedtouch? Where have you got it plugged in? Disconnect the Speedtouch, plug the Philips into a filter, then plug the filter into your phone socket. Follow the set up wizard and it should work.

What exactly means "unable" - do you get any error messages?
Try downloading the offline installer from http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/

Either get a screen cleaning cloth, or carefully us a slightly damp lint-free cloth and dry off with a dry link-=free cloth.
As to Flash Videos: I am in a similar same boat. I cannot watch flash videos on the BBC website or on BBC iPlayer, although all other flash videos (YouTube and FaceBook for example) are fine.
For reasons that passeth all understanding, they work with the PPC version of Firefox, called TenFourFoxG5.app, once you have anabled plug-ins, as it does not natively support Flash.

Now for the intersting bit: TenFourFox, like Firefox, does not support most plug-ins. Unless you are prone to headaches (in which case don't) you can read about that here:

But there is a workaround!
Open TenFourFox and type in the address bar: about:config (no spaces) and click return. This gives you a warning that it might harm the application. Ignore that and click on 'I'll be careful, I promise' and you get the config file that you can edit - with great care.
Look/search (scroll down) for: tenfourfox.plugins.enabled
Set it to true. (Double click it to toggle it)
Now close TenFourFox, open it again, and Flash will now work, as it now uses the plug-ins that Safari has stored.
I am using Flash 10.1.102.64 in TenFourFox and it works just fine.

Hardwire is always recommended because there is virtually no signal loss in a wire....at least up to 300 feet or so.
Another advantage of using Ethernet cable...if you can...is that you can locate the AirPort Express where it is most needed.
If it extends using wireless only, it pretty much needs to be located about half the distance from the main router and the general area that needs more coverage.
I like to use WiFi Explorer since it displays SNR (Signal to Noise) readings, which are the best way to evaluate signal quality.

If the signal is varying constantly, something is causing it to do so....assuming that the AirPorts are functioning correctly.
Cordless phones are a huge problem for wireless networks. You want to try to figure out if the phones are causing a problem as a first troubleshooting step.
That is why I suggested that you turn off the phones for an hour or two and watch the network to see how it behaves. If the signal stops fluctuating....that is a good clue that the phones are interfering with the wireless signal.

Edit > Preferences > Store check Music under Automatic Downloads.
Open the iTunes Store from left hand column, then select Purchasedfrom the column on the right, click the Not In My Library button and select the tunes you want to download again.
That said, you seem to be under a misapprehension as to how iTunes works, or at least how it has worked in the past. It has, until recently, been up to you take care of your purchases once they have been downloaded. You had a one-time download which you were reminded to back up. With the recent change to this policy you can at least download your store purchases again, but having a personal backup of your iTunes store purchases, stuff purchased elsewhere and files ripped from your CDs will still be preferable to gathering all the stuff together again in the event of a disaster.
