Subscriptions aren't blocked due to a lack of a Skype credit balance.  If you are trying to purchase/renew a subscription with Skype credit and you have none, of course you can't purchase it with Skype credit you don't have.  In that instance you would purchase/renew the subscription with an alternate form of payment like your credit card.  The only time credit is consumed is if you have no active subscription that covers the call you are trying to make.  You can freely dial 800 numbers and no credit will be requested.  The only time you might need a credit balance is if you have a device that won't operate unless you have a credit balance, like an RTX Skype phone.  In that instance  you would have to maintain a positive credit balance to use the phone even if you have a subscription due to the limitation being on the phone, not Skype.
I've had the same Skype account for years with a rather unchanging $10 credit balance.  I always make calls that are covered by my subscription thus no Skype credit is consumed.  Even if I had no credit balance, nothing would change.

  • How to stop HP Annoying Status Message Windows?

Before posting this message now (July/2014) I've searched for related posts here. I found one from 2009, whose author got a solution through an answer only in 2012 (pasted bellow).  I have the same problem: I'd like to stop the invasive alert messages from HP Solution Center without uninstalling the software, which is very good, but for these annoying stupid messages.  I say stupid messages, because everytime I seat in front of my desktop it insists telling me, for example, that I have a problem: the language in my HP printer doesn't match the language in my computer.  But this is not a problem, it is my personal option! Anyway, HP Solution Center keeps poping up everytime I awake my screen and this is really annoying, even it its messages were accurate.  HOW TO STOP THEM? As I said, the solution found here in the forum after 3 years (2009-2012) doesn't work for me, because there is no "status messages" in my "device settings" (Windows 7), so I could turn them off.  I'd appreciate any help!

Hello Fernando_int, and welcome to the HP Forums.
I see you are recieving false errors.  I would like to assist.
I would suggest Uninstalling the Printer Software.
Once it is uninstalled, I would suggest putting your system into clean boot mode within the Microsoft configuration.  You can do so by following this document: How to perform a clean boot in Windows.
Once the computer is in clean boot mode, I would suggest reinstalling the HP Printer Install Wizard for Windows.
Good luck and please let me know the results of your troubleshooting steps. Thank you for posting on the HP Forums!

  • How to stop iphoto opening automatically.

    Hi everyone,
I have forgotten how to stop iphoto opening up when I put my camera memory card in the reader.
I have Snow Leopard 10.6.8 and I am now using Photoshop Elements 6 on my Macbook.
Thanks in advance and a happy and healthy New Year from England,
    Alan

    Hi,
Thanks for your quick answer but I managed to do it through Image Capture.
You have to have the camera or reader connected then open Image Capture.
I clicked on the device ( name of card reader ) and in the bottom left I could choose from a drop down menu where I wanted the card to open.
    Thanks again,
    Alan

  • How to stop an ORB server in other program

I have writen an ORB server program, just like the sample HelloServer, the main thread wait on a new object forever.
How to stop the server in some other programs?
Is there some common method to stop ORB server except kill the main process.
    Thank for any help!

The question I have is how to stop an orb server programmatically without shutting down my app. My app is a server that runs continuously. I want the ability to shut down just the orb portion and restart it if desired.
I also look for this capability. When searching for this in the forums, surprisingly, I only find one question for this, but no reply or answer. Does anyone have any idea?
    Thank you for all ideas.

  • TS1424 I had purchased a VIP subscription in starmakerstudios karaoke for a week. I don't know how to stop auto renewal. Even though I have deleted the app I am still being charged

Hey people please help me with my problem.
I purchased a VIP subscription for a week in starmakerstudios karaoke. I don't know how to stop auto renewal. Even though I have deleted the app, I'm still being charged $1.99 a week!
    Please help me out...

    Hi Gerald,
Well, you're not alone. The question is why is this happening? Since the referenced link shows the same type of problem with Yahoo finance, I suspect there is a coding problem on the site, specific to how Firefox is reading the code. Not being a programmer, I can't offer specific advice other than contacting either Firefox through their Community forum, or Yahoo Finance.

  • Most websites, including Mozilla, now have a locked banner at the top of the screen that blocks off some, or much more of my laptop screen, how can I stop this

Apparently we have forgotten how to scroll up to find the search field, donate button, etc. and website "designers" now include a locked banner at the top of your screen that you cannot close but remains in place as you scroll through what remains of the visible field to view half pictures, partial paragraphs, etc. Some of these are enormous, most of a middle size and some are thinner. None are necessary but fit neatly under the heading, "Just because you can does not mean you should." which programmers seem to disregard at will. Is there some way for me to maintain (re-establish) my possession of my desktop when visiting sites? These stupid and obstructive are unneeded and Mozilla ought to be ashamed that I am looking at "Mozilla support" at the upper left of my desktop, yes, I know I am in Mozilla support and haven't forgotten it since I got here, and "ÏNBOX" "Search Mozilla Support" at the upper right of my desktop. I haven't forgotten how to scroll up if I needed to search support, either...

We are simultaneously getting bigger and bigger monitors and smaller and smaller handhelds, so it's a challenge to serve the right page for your display. But I digress...
Those fixed bars are created using the style rule <code>position:fixed</code>. In some cases, the rule is added dynamically when you scroll the page, while in other cases, it is fixed full-time. Because you may actually want some elements to be fixed, it is difficult to create a fix-all solution that will work well for all sites.
For ad hoc page hacking, you could try this extension that allows removal of items using the right-click context menu:
    https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/nuke-anything-enhanced/
Sometimes it might take two clicks to find the outermost element (otherwise, you might leave a blank area instead of getting rid of the whole thing.
Some users use the Adblock Plus extension to hide page elements they don't want to see; I don't have any experience with that.
If there are particular sites you need help with, we might be able to create a custom style rule for you to override the way the page behaves. The best approach depends on exactly how it works.

  • How to stop the "renew cloud subscription"

I cancelled my Cloud membership a couple of months ago, when I purchased the Master suite. I haven't uninstalled the Cloud downloads yet, which I'm sure is the problem. Do I need to uninstall all of the softwares now and reinstall the purchased one's again, or can I just uninstall the Cloud software and be cool?
I've also gotten an error message when opening up Illustrator, saying that I need to rt click the .exe file so that it can be repaired, not sure what the heck that means but it's happened everytime I've opened that software since I bought it and it's a little disturbing, do you thing that doing the above will correct that issue?
    Thanks for your help!

Perpetual license customers will get the features in the next version, in this case CS7. So Creative Cloud subscribers are getting an early release of certain features.
Yeah but I wouldn't be surprised if some new features for cloud users are held back and happen soon after the release and are chalked up to Adobe had to make a cut off for distribution (how it normally goes), so the cloud members feel like they are getting more and the perpetual users are again left to ponder the cloud. Nice carrot on a stick system the cloud presents.

I just wanted to say that I'm very impressed in the amount of great feedback received via this forum. I will most definitely use this resource for future Q & A.
;-) I really wouldn't be too impressed or that surprised, here is why....
Your thread title - How to stop the "renew cloud subscription" - along with your message stating you cancelled your "Adobe Creative Cloud" membership, well these two things brought out the Adobe Staff as they want everyone they can to get on the Cloud, and no doubt made them cringe at the thought of people canceling the program even though your allowed to as its your choice depending on your terms. Then you have the users who understand the facade of the cloud marketing machine and many prefer to own a perpetual license, we chime in because we are not in agreement with the whole rent your software idea and to pay money to be Adobe's Official Beta Testers via the cloud, which is marketed as cutting edge new features for cloud members.
Had your thread been something about a feature not working properly since illustrator CS2, or missing since AI8, it would more than likely went unnoticed by Adobe, even if submitted officially via the aptly named "wishform" (Appropriate name as thats what most of it ends up being, hopes and wishes that go unfulfilled or are fulfilled 14 years later like the Package Files feature). New features (regardless of however half backed they are) and marketing thats what make money, while missing features, and unfulfilled proper implementation of features, well they are just what they are for the most part, a dying request and or thread.
Cloud threads are of top echelon importance! I am however ready for some cloud dissipation actually and more sunshine being shed on long time perpetual license owners, not just the thought of a cloudy future, but rather some better attention to regular owners. Sadly as the weather people go, these requests and interests are much like weather forecasts, entirely inaccurate, or even worse being held in secrecy hoping we move on to cloudy days. Bring back the sunshine Adobe.
Welcome to the forum by the way, as you stated it is a great resource for learning and growing your skills with so many skilled individuals around here thats for sure. Get involved and dive into the forum. Sunny or Cloudy at least the forum is by-partial for the most part. ;-)

I have a charge on my credit card, but I didn't purchase anything on that date. How do I get it off or refunded back to me?

You've checked the purchase history on your account ? You didn't have any pre-orders and/or auto-renewing subscriptions that were due ? If you log into your account on your computer's iTunes via the Store > View Account menu option, you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it. Click on that and you should then see a list of your purchases.
If you don't recognise the charge, and nobody else has access to your account or devices and may have made it, then try contacting iTunes Support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/- click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

    Where are you located?
Just go and buy an iTunes gift card at any store in your country.
Then follow all the steps you did, but when it asks you for the credit card number, there shoujld be a GIFT CARD option which will let you load your account witht eh funds form the gift card without providing a credit/debit card #.

  • How to stop iTunes creating a new library on my hard drive when it can't find the one I have created and told it to use on an external drive?

I have quite alot of music etc so to save hard drive space I have created my iTunes library on an external hard drive. If I ever accidentaly open iTunes when that external hard drive isn't attached iTunes makes a whole new library from scratch on my computers hard drive. I find this highly frustrating as I often open Itunes to find no music as it have changed librarys and I have to re-load my actual library: very frustraiting and time consuming.
I would like to know if it is possible to lock iTunes some how to stop it from changing folders when it can'f find the library, or atleast give me a warning that it can't find the library before creating a whole new one????

Tunes works through a database file which has a list of your tracks.  When you click on a track it looks up in the database which file it needs to play, then plays the file.  If something breaks this link then you get !  The two main ways to get ! are to move a file from where iTunes expects it to be, or to delete it altogether.  I don't know which has happened in your case.  You can try using Spotlight to find a file for the one referred to in a broken link.  If the files have been moved then they need to be moved back.  If they were deleted completely you will have to restore them from a backup or download them again from the iTunes Store and rebuild your library.
