Have system requirements changed from 10.0 to 10.0.1?

I have final cut pro x installed on my mac. I have a ATI Radeon X1900 XT and 10.0 worked just fine, still does. Try to download update and it says my graphics card in incompatible. this is quite frustrating.

Use the trackpad to scroll, thats what it was designed for. The scroll bars automatically disappear when not being used and will appear if you scroll up or down using the trackpad.
This is a user-to-user forum and most people will post on here if they have problems. You very rarely get people posting to say there update went smooth. The fact is the vast majority of Mountain Lion users will not be experiencing any major problems with the OS, or maybe with apps which are not compatible, but thats hardly Apple's fault if developers don't update their apps.

HT4929 I don't have system requirements for icloud, will I lose my mail ?

What will happen if I don't move to icloud in 30 days. I don't have the system requirement and will have to buy lion and more memory.
I've very unhappy with apple for forcing us to move to the cloud. I don't care about syncing all of my devices.

Heres the immediate confusion that could have been easily avoided: The main page at me.com/move seems to strongly suggest that if your computer is not yet upgraded to Lion, the main requirement for iCloud, you cant move to iCloud. The statement is that ALL devices must be compatible in order to "move".
But then, at http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4929
the first sentence is
"If you cannot update all of your devices to the iCloud system requirements, you can still move to iCloud, but iCloud services will work only on the devices that meet the system requirements".
So, if you want iCloud features on your OTHER devices, (most useful if you have more than one other device), you would move to iCloud (paradoxically -- in my case-- using a computer that will not (yet) be able to use iCloud), and reset your Mail settings as per the link above. You can still access some synced data on the non-Lion machine via a browser at iCloud.com.
From my read of HT4929, if instead you opted not to move, but only "keep using my email", (if you did not care about any other syncing), you might NOT have to change your Mail settings, (thats been my experience so far) or you may have to soon, when things actually shift (sometime after the supposed deadline) at the mail server-side, (as per Rogers comment above).
Thats how I see it.

System requirements changed?!?!?!?

When I installed FCP7 it checked for my system requirements and installed it because it was good enough. I worked with it with for the past 2 months now and never had a problem. I tried to open FCP today and it says that it can't run because my computer doesn't have the system requirements to run tjis application. ***?!?!? It changed over night?!?!? I was working a lot with QuartzComposer too and it says the same thing. Now I have a new computer that I can't use. thanks to you apple.
On the spec page http://www.apple.com/finalcutstudio/specs/ it says
ATI or NVIDIA graphics processor (integrated Intel graphics processors not supported)
Mine is a NVIDIA GeForce9400M and 256MbVRAM.
What is going on here?!?!?!? I'm loosing my mind.

Indd will not update placed images that have type design changes from Ai

I am creating a book in Indesign ca4 and have placed hundreds of images from Illustrator cs4. These images have unconverted type in them. When i update the font (in FontExplorer X) the files updates fine in Ai. However, when I go to the Indd file nothing changes. If i click on one of the images and relink then the updated font pops in. Now normally when I change anything else in an Ai file it automatically changes in the Indd file or at least shows that the file needs to be "updated".
The problem is that I don't want to spend hours clicking each graphic, going to relink find the file, etc. Also, the font change is mearly the same font with a different revision number and it is difficult to even see if the font has actually updated, I would be blind by the time I finished the process of updating each graphic and verifying that it actulally updated.
I do not want to convert the type to outlines, as this would cause even more time issues.
I don't understand how the this can happen without a red flag happening somewhere along the process, as the previous font that shows up in Indd no longer exists and the file is not embeded, or converted?

Peter, thanks for working on this for me I appreciate your heIp. I think what is happening is that when the font is updated it is not acknowledged by the Ai file until it is opened and resaved. Additionally, Ai does not change anything in a file that is resaved unless a change is made. So, what I had to do is open each Ai file and move or nudge some insignificant object or some other change to force an update, then resave the file. Also, if a change is made then undo is selected the file will not update it must be an actual change. Then it will update.

Need itunes 10 but don't have system requirements

I have a MacBook Pro v10.4.11 and I just bought an iPhone 4. I need itunes 10 but it requires Mac 10.5. I tried checking for software updates but nothing. Can anyone tell me how to sync my phone?

You will have to upgrade to Leopard 10.5 at least. With a MacBook Pro you could possibly go as far as the most recent OSX version, 10.7 Lion. Alternatively you could go for 10.6 Snow Leopard. Which versions you can run depend upon your computer's specifications.
These aren't free downloads. For Lion check the main Apple page since this is what they currently sell in the store. Snow Leopard is probably still available through Apple Sales, and even Leopard might just happen to be. If your MBP supports it I'd go for Snow Leopard at least since it is still being supported by Apple and would be much cheaper than Leopard (note, because you are running Tiger they will strongly urge you to buy the more expensive box set, but unless you feel you want to update your other software most people just go with the basic $29 SL upgrade).

Have tables names changed from CF6/7 to CF 8/9?

I had already exported the data from the hosted SQL 2000 DB to my local SQL 2000 DB and then backed up and restored it to an empty DB in SQL 2008 Express. The tables have the dbo. prefix instead of the "xx." prefix in the other DB which went from SQL 2000 to SQL 2008. The site runs with the dbo. prefix. I built a CF6/7 based site about 5 years ago and I'm trying to move it to the current versions of MSSQL (2008R2 Express) and CF9. I believe the SQL DB is fine, I have setup the site on the local server, and am getting the following error when trying to view a page that access the DB.
[Macromedia][SQLServer JDBC Driver][SQLServer]Invalid object name 'client_info'.
I exported the DB data from the live DB server into my local SQL 2008 Express and tables now have names like "xx.client_info" Is it correct to assume that this is a new naming convention so that you can access easily access tables in multiple DBs? Would I simply need to rename the tables to exclude the "xx." at the begining? Or would it be advised to export the data into SQL 2000 and then backup/restore the DB to SQL 2008 Express?

It's not CF-related, it's a SQLServer thing. In SQL 2008 they introduced the concept of Schemas, which I think is what you're seeing here. Rather than dbo.tablename, you now have schema.tablename.
I don't know the details to be honest, but that's what you need to be looking at.

TCodes that have changed from 4.7 to ECC 6

Hi,
We are planning a upgrade from 4.7 to ECC6. Is there any readily available list of:
1) Transaction Codes that have undergone a change from 4.7 to ECC 6?
2) transactions that have become obsolete?

Thanks Gautham for the prompt response.
That means that I can only come to know of the changed TCodes after I upgrade and not before that? Or can I look at this table in any other company's ECC 6 system and get the data?
Will company specific cutomisation have any bearing on the changes done by SAP to the std TCodes?
Also does this table give the complete list of changed TCodes? Also is there any table, FM etc which also gives what has been changed in these TCodes?

It may run, but from what has been reported it appears that it will not even install. I have no clue why, but that is consistent with the system requirements statement. Usually these system requirements indicate systems on which the software has been tested and is still supported by Adobe. It might work on other systems, but no support is provided by Adobe and you are at risk that it will even install. So as I see a question: NO, VISTA is not supported even if you are successful with the install.

Software Update icon in System Preferences changed

Never seen this before. This morning I noticed that Software Update icon in System Preferences changed from the regular one to a BIG switch. Noticed this only in MBP.

I got it back. I moved Software Update preference pane from /System/Library/PreferencePanes to Desktop and moved it back. The original icon is back ! Ofcourse I ran Disk Permissions after checking.

To make the change from MobilMe I will have to update from System 10.4.11 to 10.7.2. How many system and firmware updates will I have to do?

First, see if your system can run Lion:

If you have any PPC apps, none of them will work under Lion.
If you meet the requirements for Lion, you can go to Snow Leopard(US $29), then update to 10.6.8, then update to Lion(US $29).
Apple says 2GB's of memory minimum. I wouldn't update to Lion unless you can run at least 4GB's.
