We have a J2EE application that was working quite happily when accessed through Firefox (which is the mandated browser at our client). On auto-upgrade to 3.6.17, it stopped working. On doing a debug trace, it appears that the browser had "found" a user somewhere (in a cache??) and was using that in session context, as opposed to having a "NULL" object which it should have done. On clearing history in 3.6.17, it worked fine initially, but then started finding this strange cached user on subsequent logins. This would mean that users would have to clear history every time they wanted to login to the application which is unsupportable.

Websites remembering you and automatically log you in is stored in a cookie.
* Create an allow cookie exception (Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: Exceptions) to keep such a cookie, especially for secure websites and if cookies expire when Firefox is closed.
* In [[Private Browsing]] mode all cookies are session cookies that expire if that session is ended, so websites won't remember you.
* In [[Private Browsing]] mode Firefox won't fill names and passwords automatically and won't offer to store new passwords.
* Do not use [[Clear Recent History]] to clear the "Cookies" and the "Site Preferences"
Clearing "Site Preferences" clears all exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, software installation, and passwords.

I purchased one maybe 2 weeks ago after selling my Touch. I had read issues with dust, but so far I haven't had any issues with dust yet.
In the two weeks since getting the player, I've had no issues with it. Great sound quality, nice color screen. I haven't loaded any photos on it, I also like the Explorer that comes with it (software for Windows XP).
The only issues I had (which was more of a Windows issue that the player) was when I first got it, Windows kept looking for a driver, and then gave up. I found a very good resolution on this board which fixed it.
So again, so far so good, I will try and update this post if anything goes wrong with the player.

Access this URL : http://www.mamarocks.com/cats.htm in FF20 lets the background music associated with it play. However, accessing the same URL in FF21 and newer results with the webpage being displayed but the music associated with it does not play. Microsoft Windows Media Player plugin is installed but is not selectable from the file type play selection. The Quicktime Player plugin is also installed. Selecting that or Windows Media Player to handle midi files has no effect on the behavior. I don't believe the plugins are at fault but rather something in how Firefox handles background file use that has changed.
I have done searches on the Internet and found numerous reports of this problem. Please look for yourself and decide if there is a problem or at least tell us how to fix this situation.

That is a midi file (Content-Type: audio/mid), so you need a plugin that can handle this MIME type (see the about:plugins page).

The AAM shows Photoshop CC as not installed yet for me, so it stands to reason that it won't tell me when updates are available. Looks like I am going to have to spend the time uninstalling, cleaning and reinstalling. My connection is not super fast, which is why I have been putting this off. Hmmmm

If you have CC, you'd only have AAM still avaiable if you were running on an older unsupported OS (like 10.6.8 or XP).
The Creative Cloud app replaces AAM on supported OS versions.

If this is what you are used to seeing in the Comcast forum, you need a browser that can identify as a desktop browser. Safari does not do this. I am using iCab Mobile and this is what the forum looks like when I sign in.

i have a story about my sister, am talking on her behalf, she got stolen her phone at a caffee when she just come from a horeble exam, she was very mad and having haedace for not doing well at the exam, i ask her if we could have coffee before we go home, once she sate; while i was getting the coffee for her, some one snicked to her pocket and took the phone, immidatly she feelt it and went on to searching, but nathing was hopefull. what makes it more heart braking is that she worked day and night just to buy the phone and pay for her books and so on as a student. she use to work 16 houres a day before she had to start school. 8 houres in one place and then to the other place. and she was always demanding for more houres to work; one day her boss saw her on her other job and she was serprised to see her and saied OHhh my God Milly if you work like this, i wonder if you servive, how could you also ask for more houres, My sis had to do it she has no parents or any thing, well the phone was taken after only two months of having it. the sad thing is she stile dream having it even though she can't think of buying againe. well me i have tryed a lot of things but i know some were out there there is a solution for people like this, it is not always fare for some one who has payed up to 800 to just loose his ......

I'm sorry, but your sister, unless she had already turned on the "Find my iPhone" feature and the person who took the phone has not disabled it, is out of luck. She should report the theft to local police authorities, including the serial number of her iPhone. While her experience is unfortunate, there are good reasons why Apple cannot do anything else about it.
I hope she gets her phone back.

You need to force quit all other (real or fake) instances of the Application Manager. Instructions differ between Mac or Win.

I'm the original poster on this thread. I ended up taking my iPad back to the Apple Store. They ran some diagnostics, and found that my RAM was almost maxed out, which didn't really make sense. It indicated a faulty processor, so they gave me a new iPad. I took it home, synched, and it only took about 45 minutes to synch 30 gigs of data. My original iPad took about 5 hours to synch for the first time. Clearly there was a problem with the processor in the first one, but I didn't realize it at first, as it took several weeks before it started exhibiting the erratic screen behavior. Hope this helps anyone else who might experience this down the line.

So i went to my apple store... which was PACKED. Found a manager and explained my problem. Without any question, they simply replaced it. Awesome!

I have the same problem, and I found out what's wrong, it's not the software - restart, restore and FW upgrade will not help, it's definitely hardware. The best option is to replace your iPad assuming you have an apple store nearby…

I have my HP printer/scanner hooked in to (by usb) to an airport express. I knew about a year ago that you weren't able to scan with this configuration. Has there been any workaround to this problem?

The only workaround remains to connect your printer/scanner directly to your computer.
Since It is HP that must supply the correct sofware drivers for this functionality to work on the AirPorts, you might want to contact HP to ask them about their future plans in this regard.
I suppose that it could not hurt to remind Apple that you would like to see this type of functionality as well.

It may just be the power cord (between the mains and the computer). If you have an Apple store or Authorised store near you, take the cord in and check it out. Indeed, check if it has been partly pulled out by pressing it firmly into the back of the computer.

I've been using it on all of my computer without any problems. Remember you won't see any positive comments here. Everyone here is complaining about a problem. If you want a good experience with any upgrade or update first make a backup from which you can boot the computer. If you are installing an update, like 10.10.3 for example, always download and install the Combo Updater - OS X Yosemite 10.10.3 Combo Update. Before you install any update or upgrade over an existing system you should do this:Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions:
Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility and press the Continue button. After Disk Utility loads select the Macintosh HD entry from the the left side list. Click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If Disk Utility reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit Disk Utility and return to the main menu. Select Restart from the Apple menu.
