Have to Change All IP's After RAC installation
HAi all,
I have deployed Oracle 10g 2 node RAC with CRS and ASM on linux AS4 on one of our biggest client of country.
After succefully running ,they are now saying that they are having problem with the IP series and they have to change the IP series.
So by this Public and virtual IP's of my RAC will also be changed.
So my Problem is that How can i change the Public and private in my RAC database and cluster.?
Or i have to install the RAC, ASM database right from biggning.
Please Help soon!!
Thanks and Regards
Pankaj Rawat

The corner of my screen is creased is not a big thing and it didn't affected the images, but is creased.
Do I have to change all the screen even if it doesn't affect the images on the mac?
Is it too much expensive?
Thank you!

The iTune cannot detect my iPhone 4S. I have already tried all methods suggested, including re-installling iTune, re-activating Apple Mobile Device, plugging in various USB ports, and etc. I use windows 7. How can I solve this?
The new cable is completely new, and my computer can detect the phone as a drive, and battery charging is ok. So I believe the USB cable works properly. It is so weird that just iTune itself cannot detect the phone, and it is of the most updated version. What else can I do? Thanks.

How to change of NAME and IP after RAC installation.
Hi Friends,
I have a challenge here...Would appreciate if anyone can help me..
I have to install 10.2.0.3 Oracle RAC on windows 2003 server 64 bit.
My issue is now the server names and ips are set and I am going to install the RAC.
But the client need is that after one month, they need to change the names and ips of the servers (a one time change).
Because according to their server naming standards, current production servers are having the acceptable names and ips.
The installation was on a 32 bit OS, so they are facing out of process memory errors. Thats why they are going to 64 bit OS on new servers.
After the new servers are ready, the data will be migrated to new server. After a month, they need to change the names of new servers to that of the old (current production) servers.
Could anybody help me by giving me information about how to change the NAME and IP after a RAC installation ?
Any metalink notes or commands as it is........
Thank you,
Mahesh.Hi,
You can change the IP later but you can not change the hostname of the system.
You have to install CRS freah if you want to change the hostname of the system.
Please let us know which IP you want to change.
You can see the metalink Note.276434.1 for VIP or VIP hostname change.

"change all" is grey after getting info on a file
Greetings,
I can't stop Preview and set Photoshop to open all graphics files with a .pdf ending. When I get info on a .pdf file the "change all files like this" button is greyed out.
What am I doing wrong? Adobe advises using .pdf. Is .pdf less portable in 10.4.4?
Thanks,
GarrettHow can I tell? The 'get info' window has no lock and under sharing and permissions, on says 'you can only read'. I did a get info on the Macintosh HD and it had a lock on it but said I could only read, for what that it worth.

Will i have to reinstall all factory software after i upgrade to windows 10?
just needed to know if i had to restall the HP software than came on tablet after i upgrade to windows 10? and if i have partitioned another drive on existing drive will it stay as well?
Linking to self-contained plug-ins via a shortcut can be a good way to keep things organized, but be aware of one thing:
Many plug-ins today are not truly self-contained, but actually install additional things like DLL files into the Photoshop installation area itself (something I regard as a bad practice). What this means is even if you are to link to another place from the plug-ins subfolder under the new Photoshop CC (2014) installation area, your plug-ins may not all run properly. If they have an installer, your best approach is to use the installer.

After RAC installation how will i know that DHCP was used ?
Once the RAC database is installed .
how a new Admin will know that DHCP was used during installation ot not used ?DHCP for the database server? Normally one wouldn't use DHCP for a server unless the registration is leased so that the IP address doesn't change. In that case, does it matter if DHCP is used or not? The best way for me to know if the server is *currently* using DHCP is to check the NIC config on the server. But I know of now way to know if the server was using DHCP when RAC was installed.
Cheers,

Always open with and Change all doesn't work
Hello,
I'm having trouble changing what application should be used when opening movie files (.avi, .mkv etc).
I'm using mplayer (not the gui extended one), and I've made an .app that runs a script to open the chosen file in mplayer.
It works fine if I tell the individual file to always open with that specific application, but if I choose Get info so that I can use the "change all", and got my own app chosen, it just changes back to the default one.
I did a repair permissions on my disk, but nothing changes.
Can anyone help me?
ThanksUpdate:
I decided to make an app in Automator.
In automator I chose "Get Selected Finder Items" to get the file I'm trying to open.
After that I added a "Run Shell Script", set the pass input to as arguments. The command was
/PATH/TO/YOUR/mplayer "$@"
Then save as application. Worked fine for me to set .avi to use it, and also use "change all".
So I guess the problem got solved. But it doesn't explain why my app made in the applescript editor couldn't have the "change all" clicked without changing to something else. -
I Have problems with my iPhone 4s after the installation of the new iOS8, the phone doesn't want to switch on again. I need to recover some important data that I have inside the phone.
Ralph Landry1 wrote:
There isn't anything you can do to recover contents from iPhone 4s if you cannot get the iPhone to startup. Connect it to a wall outlet so you have a solid power source, then do a reboot by holding both the power and home buttons until the apple logo appears, ignoring the red slider if that appears. If the iPhone still will not startup, the next options to try will automatically erase your iPhone all of its contents.
The next step is to do a restore via the recovery mode as described in http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808 but again note that this erases the iPhone.
Thank you Landry, it is really a good experience to solve problem of iPhone Data Recovery! -
How to change all specific colors to another color.
Can some one tell me how to change all colors in Illustrator to another color all at once.
I used to work in Freehand and you could select all, them go to a panel and have it change
all of one color to another in a layout.
Exp. You could change pms 356 to pms 410 without selecting each individually.
I can't find this feature in Illustrator CS4
Any help appreciated
HJMann42Thanks Monika and Kurt.
Figured it out. But I couldn't get it to affect groups inside clipping masks. Basically had to completely
disassamble the logo.
Don't know why Illustrator has to make it so difficult. In Freehand it's simple: select the entire object, open
a panel, a few clicks and bingo it's done. Even if things are grouped, groups within groups, pasted into another group....no problem. -
Changing domain name after 12i installation
Hi all,
I misspelled my domain name during the 12i installation on Linux platform. i know it can be done by changing the context files of both application tier and database tier and running autoconfig after that, But i don't know the exact procedure to do it. Metalink note 387859.1 isn't very helpful to me. There are some notes for 11i on metalink but those are not helpful. Can any body tell in few straight forward steps how to change the domain name after 12i installation. Any help appreciated.I misspelled my domain name during the 12i installation on Linux platform. Was the installation successful? Did the post installation steps complete successfully?
But i don't know the exact procedure to do it- Deregister the current database/application server
- Update the AutoConfig Context files (database and application)
- Shutdown the Applications Services
- Reseed the Net Services Topology Model ***
- Start the Applications Services
Check the following note (Under Net Services Section) for the required steps to deregister a database/applications tiers from the Net Services Topology Data Model:

Installing Sybase SQL Anywhere license keys after initial installation.
Hi,
I installed Sybase SQL Anywhere 16 before I actually received the valid License Key. So during the installation I've used the license key provided by the instructions. Afterwards, I've received the purchase license key. Do i need to reinstall SQL Anywhere all over? Or can it just continue to function on that license key? From what i understand, I can not change the license key after the installation was complete. I would have to completely uninstall and re-install SQL Anywhere 16. Is that correct?
Thanks
AronHi Aron,
I would have to completely uninstall and re-install SQL Anywhere 16. Is that correct?
No, you don't have to do this in SQL Anywhere 16 - you can change SQL Anywhere editions by changing the license key on the accompanying server executable license file (e.g. dbsrv16.lic) with the Server Licensing Utility (dblic). You can use the "-k" switch in order to specify a new key:
dblic -k <reg_key> dbsrv16.lic
