Have to enter serial number again and again and again...

Hello,
i purchased logic studio (as upgrade 9.17) earlier this year. if i want to start compressor or soundtrack pro (also in the package), i am asked to enter the serial number (of the upgrade) plus the usb-dongle for logic 7. Then the application works fine. But the next time i'd like to start it again, i am asked again for serial number and dongle. And then again again and again...What's wrong? Whatt can i do? Thanks for answering.

Click  in the menu bar.
Highlight the serial number, copy it and paste it, instead of manually entering it.

    Photo Mechanic does this as well. You have to first activate it by being logged into the admin account then when you log into the non-admin account it works fine.
    If you still are having issues I would call Adobe support. Installation support is 206-675-6500. Standard Technical support is 800-642-3623.

    May be you are installing the upgarde veriosn of the Acrobat X and hence it is asking for the Acrobat 7 serial number ., when you buy and install the upgarded veriosn then at the time of installation you have to enter the serail number of the product from which you have upgraded in this case it is Verison 7 , hence

    Check with Customer Care. They may allow you to activate the upgrade using the Challenge Code method.
    Apparently, Adobe has a challenge code system.  So, if you have the old serial number from the upgrade and you call customer support.  Customer support has a challenge code procedure where they give you a code that overrides the problem.  Unfortunately, it took me 5 calls to customer support before I found someone who knew how to do it.  The key term is "Challenge Code"

    Your caption says "I have my original serial number" , so do you mean to say the original for PSE11?  If so then it won't work in PSE12.  You need to enter the serial number you got in the email when you bought the upgrade from Adobe as download.  Did you get the email from Adobe about this and have you kept it in your inbox or somewhere safe?

    So I think this has been figured out. A very helpful person at Adobe assisted me via phone, and it looks like I need to install the Creative Cloud for desktop. She clearly stated the steps and it is going as described.
    So, for anyone else who has a creative cloud app subscription (mine is a single-app membership for Illustrator), note that you need to have the Creative Cloud for desktop app installed to enter your serial number for another adobe product you have already installed. I had incorrectly downloaded and installed Illustrator without using the Creative Cloud app. However, the creative cloud app is now updating my version of CS 6 and should now sync with my SN for Illustrator.

    This is where the problem is I already installed the Trial version but not the one I should have.   On their download site it shows
    how many days that are left  of the 30 days.   Wont let me do trial again will I have to finish my trial time?  you don't get any help from someone from Adobe it is a circle jerk of musical chairs. Thank You for your help God's blessing on you!
