Have to input the serial and the XS key on every start

Hi,
I installed Logic Studio today. Everything went smooth, but everytime when I start Logic 8 again it asks for my serial (Logic 8) and I have to attach the XS key. I trashed already the Logic Studio ID, but it doesn't work.
Any ideas?

Can you manually type the serial number from the XSKey into LP8? Seems like the software would see that you have an XSKey and "unlock" the install CD so you no longer need the XSKey. I would hate it if people who purchase LP8 at regular price are released from the XSKey burden, while those who buy the upgrade version have to continue to endure it. I hope there is resolution to this issue as it is my only reservation about ordering the $199 upgrade.

Is there a way to have FF Home remember me, so I don't have to input the sync key, user ID, and password each time? (Perhaps something to do with that "add a device" passcode they completely ignore in the instructions for setting it up?)

Well if you want a "single signon" experience, the Workstation will need to de join to the domain :-) otherwise it will prompt for the Username and password for authentificaiton.
You can then check the save password box.
For remote user that are NOT on the domain, same behavior, you will be prompted to enter Username/Password.

I have to input the license code everytime I open photoshop. How can I fix this problem?

Every time I open photoshop is says I'm still using the trial version and asks me to buy or license the software. Each time I have to input the license code number. How can I get this to stop?

OK, I'm new. I have a PC running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit Operating System, Adobe Photoshop CS6 (64 bit). See below. There is no error message. I just launch the program and it asks if I would like to continue with the trial version or buy a license. It then asks me to log into my account and I input my license number. Lightroom doesn't use activation. The EULA allows you to install Lightroom on two computers, one a desktop the other a laptop. To apply the serial number you go to the Help menu then choose Lightroom Registration.

My keyboard on macbook pro (laptop) is acting weird. One key is not responding at all. Have verified using Keyboard viewer and some other keys are printing the unresponsive character at random.

Is it a damaged keyboard ?
The laptop is just 2 months old, will Apple replace it with a new one if its indeed a damaged keyboard or just repair, I use it for official purposes so being without a laptop is not much of an option.

No one here works for Apple, so we don't know what Apple might or might not do. If it's a genuine defect, they will of course repair it under warranty. It is not their responsibility if it effects your ability to work or not, so that's on you.
If, however, they determine that the key is problematic as a result of your misuse of the laptop, then everything is on you. And trust me, if they find a glob of dried up beer or coffee there, they will charge you.
Your only choice is to take it in for repair.

Why do I have to press the tab key to edit or enter data in firefox mac? (and how do I turn off this quirk?)

to enter data in fields in forms and even in the search bar I have to press the tab key. If i do not press tab the silly mac beeps at me and won't let me type. I asked the mac geniuses and they blame firefox, guessing you guys will blame mac... but it is really annoying.

to en_US or french to have the export extension
now i setup AdobeProductLanguage=en_US
does the shortcuts/hotkey change ?
i mean does photoshop cs5 or other components work like before ?

I can go on and am offered the choice to download content fron the adobe site ...
I didn't do that up to now. I tried to reinstall from the content-DVD which doesn't work
until you uninstall the (already installed) content and reinstall it later on.
In fact the content is missing, if you try to continue without reinstalling the contents!
The most curious thing to me is the fact that this happens incidently ....
It may happen on the very next start of Premiere Elements 10, it may happen
some days later after maybe 10 restarts of the software.

Go to Settings>General>Restrictions and see if the Restrictions on requiring PW everytime is set.

I have sucessfully backed up my iTuines library to an external hard drive, but when backing up in the furture (Monthly) do I have to follow the same procedure again, and will this place an additonal copy of my iTunes library on my hard drive, so duplicating the back up and so rapidly fill my hard drive.
Ideally what I would like, is for the lateset back up to over write the original so saving space on my external hard drive. Many thanks ......Steve

The "consolidate" command has nothing to do with making backups. You use that command when you have had content in multiple places and you wish to have it now all in a single iTunes folder. If all of your content is already in the iTunes folder, then the "consolidate" command will be of no use to you. You will make further backups using whatever method you normally would use to make backups of your data in Windows.

I can't reset the password to my security questions since I don't have an rescue email. And I don't want to start a new account because I just put a $25 iTunes card on it. Is there any way I can do a rescue email without having to call.

I don't think I would have time to sit down and actually talk on the phone to do this that is why I would like to do it over email.

Before Firefox 7 the service used to take some time to upload the changes and then to download them. Make sure that you wait several hours to confirm that it's not something else.
You can force them by using the "Sync Now" option in the Tools menu.
Fortunately, the behavior have changed with Firefox 7 and now the bookmark changes are instant.

Removed Parallels and BootCamp ... now have to hold the Option key to reboot.

Ran Parallels and Windows XP in Boot Camp for over a year. No problems. Pretty well filled up the hard drive. Uninstalled Parallels and wiped out the Windows Partition. Since then, when I boot, I get a message that says it's looking for a boot device (probably a windows message) and I have to hold down the Option Key to see the Mac HD. Everything else appears to be working fine.
I'm suspicious it's a Master Boot Record (or whatever the Apple equivalent is) but I don't know how to fix it.
It's not pathological ... just mildly irritating ... since you don't have to reboot a Mac very often:))).
