Have to install flash player almost every day

It seems like I have to un-install the re-install flash
player almost every day. I download it one day every thing works
great on all websites that use flash. Then the next day not flash
site works therefore I have to un-install flash player then
re-install it to view flash content. Then the whole cycle repeats.
Does anyone else have this problem? Thanks.

Yes I do!

Unfortunately, Firefox for android doesn't support Flash Player. Yet. That feature will be coming soon in a very near future release ;)

  • Do our users have to install Flash player to see our scorm content?

I am currently creating a scorm content using Captivate 5.5 within Moodle.
My question is do our users have to pre-install Flash player  to see our scorm module?
If so, is there any way we can avoid it?
One idea that I thought of is to install flash player on a moodle server.
Is it possible to do so, or this is something that I do not need to worry about?
    Sami

    Hi Sami,
I think, It's hard to find any user who might not have Flash Player already install on their browser.
Google Chrome has it inbuilt and most of the browser they get installed as a plug-in.
Not just for your course, every user would need Flash Player that for view several websites  (say YouTube )and failing that they wont be able to see Flash enabled content.
I would suggest that do not worry about the Flash plugin as almost all users would have it already.
With Captivate 6, you also have an option of using HTML 5 as published output not just flash!
    Thanks,

  • I have to install Flash Player after rebooting ......

Hi, I have a Win7 64 bit pc (SP!) , and since I upgraded Flash Player I have to re install the prog every time I boot up my pc.
Using firefox 7 or IE9 nor version of Flash Player makes a difference.
Once installed Flash Player works perfectly until the next re boot, after which it's back to getting the message to install Flash Player if I use IE9, or just a blank field using Firefox.7
    Most frustrating.
So apart from never rebooting does anyone know of a cure for this problem as I would love to know the fix

    Hi Mike,
can't say why you cannot access the log file, but if you could you would see entries on the install process of Flash which may show some errors or not.
Have you tried uninstalling Flashplasyer 11.0.1, rebooting and then installing an older version?
There is a beta version of Flashplayer 11.2 ( http://www.free-codecs.com/download/adobe_flash_player.htm) which may be worth a try.
    Other options:
You coudl try running a windows repair or a good 3rd party registry clean/repair application  (which has a cost attached).
You could also not shut down your laptop so often and just use hibernate instead, and hope the next verision of Flash will fix the issue.
Consider a clean install /use it as an excuse to upgrade to 7 (it's much better than Vista!).
    Good Luck

  • I have to restore my Nano2g almost every day...

After a days use i conect my 8gig ipod to remove or ad a few songs. When i do this it says something like this: "itunes cannot read the ipod please restore it to it's factory defaults"
So i do this, then i add the music all over and when i disconect it it works fine. If i conect it again after it's recently been restored there's no problem.
if i disconect the ipod without restoring it if i choose artist, music its all blank. But if If i'd saved a playlist on the ipod earlier it will play all of the albums/songs in that playlist. someway the database that points out where each song is gets corupted when i conect it.
I use itunes 7.3.2.6 and i handle music transfers by myselfs, i.e. no syncing.
    Any Ideas?

I am not very sure whether my following suggestion
works, but I will do the following :-
    1. Download and install both - the latest iTunes and
    iPod Updater at apple.com
    2. Open the iPod updater and click Restore
I have done that countless times.

  • How come after seeing the message "You have successfully install Flash Player".

I then go the the site that I need it for. I get the message "This game requires that you have Javascript turned on, and that you have Adobe Flash  or higher installed. Click the button below to install it (will take less than 30 seconds".
Javastrip is enabled. Is this just another problem ADOBE is having with the up date or what?

I received your PM, but it would be better that you reply here in the forum.
So you use Windows 7 (what edition?), IE9, Firefox, and Chrome.
What files do you have in
    C:\Windows\system32\Macromed\Flash ?
    C:\Windows\syswow64\Macromed\Flash ?

  • Installing Flash Player... Please Help

    Hi,
I continue to have difficulty installing flash player on my computer and am out of ideas.  I'm running Windows 7 on my computer and have tried installing flash player for both Internet explorer version 9 and firefox version 10.0.2.  In both situations I have previously been able to download the installation ".exe" file successfully but once I try to complete the installation I can only get to 12% completion before it either times out or I get an error message saying "cannot contact reliable source".  I have researched both issues through the forums and tried the various solutions out there currently, including downloading from the adobe labs and running the uninstall program.  I am not able to download the uninstall at all (again both in internet explorer and firefox and from the various sources posted throughout the forums).  I have also checked my host file to confirm that I do not have anything blocking adobe downloads and have tried disabling my firewall to see if this would allow the installation to complete, again to no avail.
Does anybody have any further suggestions?  I previously was running flash player without any issue, but once I uninstalled the old version to download the update nothing was working.  Thanks for your help.
    Dennis

if I just delete the files from those directories would that work without running the uninstaller?
    Negative.
    Try this:
Click Start, type System Configuration, click System Configuration, click Selective startup, uncheck Load startup items, click Apply, click Services tab, check Hide all Microsoft Services, click Disable all, click Apply, click OK, click Restart.
    From this site: http://forums.adobe.com/message/3952360#3952360
Download the installers for the Flash Player for Internet Explorer and Flash Player for other browsers.
    Download the uninstaller
    Disconnect from the internet.
    Run uninstaller and reboot.
Delete the Flash folder in folders C:\Windows\System32\Macromed and C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed.
    Run both installers.
Make sure you do the following even if no download is successful.
Click Start, type System Configuration, click System Configuration, click Normal startup, click Apply, click OK, click Restart.

installing flash player. Every time I went to view a video it asked me to download the latest flash player. I did and the same message kept popping up. I finally went to the forum to look for help and voila! Problem solved. I went into my tools section of the tool bar and clicked on manage add ons. As it turned out my flash player was DISABLED. Once I enabled it, it WORKED!!!

Firstly, this is in the wrong section. Secondly, how is this a question? Thirdly, why did you register to post this? xD

  • Problems  installing flash player. Learner

I am experienceing problems installing flash player. I go to the adobe website and install the program and I am told it has been successfully  installed. No flash player  icon apppears on my desktop. When I press the windows start icon and click on "all programs" there is no evidence of the flash player. However when I click on" my computer" icon and go into uninstall/change the flash player program is there.I have spent quite some time installing, uninstalling and installing again without success
I am using windows Vista. I am also using Kaspsersky Internet security. It is a private computetr so I do not think  I need administrators permission.  I have tried installing flash player using both interner explorer and Mozilla firefox. Please can anyone help. Many thanks.

Shane, since you must be having problems getting a thread started, I'll just go ahead and try to help you here.
Use IE and go to Help and click on About Internet Explorer. It should tell you sp1 or sp2.
Also using IE, go to Tools, click on Manage add ons and look in all add ons for Shockwave Flash Object. Let me know if it is Enabled and if it is version 10.0.45.2 or says Flash10e.ocx.
Then switch over to FF (Firefox) and find the plug-in SWF version 10.0.45.2 and make sure it is listed and Enabled.
Post this info back to me.
    Thanks,

  • Installing Flash Player on iPod Touch

To play Flash videos in Safari I have to instal Flash Player. is this possible on the iPod Touch and if so, which version - Intel or PPC?

The IPT does not support Flash. (Thus the separate YouTube app - YouTube videos in your browser require Flash, the app links into the videos in a different way.)
    Hope this helps...

  • How do I install flash player on my nook hd+?

I have tried installing flash player several times but it never works. Nook rep keeps telling me it works but I'm too dumb to figure it out so if u know how please let me know.

Nooks use Android OS... There is no more Flash Player for Android and there won't be another. Android is no longer compatible with Flash Player. Playing Flash content is very processor consumptive and it drains your battery, also shortening the life of it. Android (Google) recommends using either "Dolphin" or "Puffin" as your browser if you need to view Flash content with a mobile device running Android. They're both free in the GooglePlay store. These browsers use "server side" rendering to reduce the load on your device.

  • Why the Flash Player updates almost every day?

Why does the Flash Player update almost every day?

You think these are the only/main cause of security issues?
As a developer let me tell you it is far from the case. Most security issues are a direct result of user carelesness.
Let me give you an example....
I'm just a loley ole developer, no one special, but I do create many web apps/mobile apps, and many are free, and widely distributed.
One example is a social networking web app based on html5 and google maps api - a gps enabled social web app.
    trufaces.com
This is just one example of hundreds, I offer free hosting services truimagz.com/host and mush more.
Anyway, the point is... do you have any idea how many people sign up using an email adress and their actuall email password as their login info?
    90%+
I, just some schmuck, have access to over 50,000 email accounts and passwords at any given moment. Thank god I'm trustworthy eh?
    Just food for thought.
