Have To Manually Connect To Internet. Help please.
Hi Everyone,
Ever since I installed the update for Leopard I have to manually go to my ethernet menu and connect to the internet. It won't stay connected sometimes too and I have to go back and connect again. I have no other computers or airport connected. Just my DSL and the ethernet connection.
Any idea why? Or how to make it connect automatically when I launch mail or a browser Like it is supposed to do?

When you installed Leopard, did you follow the prompts for connecting to the internet or did you set the connection settings later- after the install? I've noticed that if you wait till later(I did this because I had to look up my WEP key), after the install, airport has a hard time with connection issues. I would try to reinstall Leopard.

I got my N97 on Friday and could connect to the internet fine, but saturday morning came - no internet connection available. I rang my contract provider who kindly told me that becasue the N97 is a new phone they don't have any settings or configurations for the phone yet!

I had a similar problem as well and I took the configuration of the N95 and adpated it the my new phone. Of course this can not be done automatically, but has to be done manually.

Won't connect to internet, help please
I am back in my apartment at school and they replaced the cable with just another one, almost the same thing, but the problem is that when i connect the cable straight to my CPU it works fine, but when i plug the cable into my airport express it just blinks amber and it shows the connection and even says i am connected but it won't connect to the internet, please help me. my brother will be here tomorrow and i need to get this wireless setup. thanks so much for the help.
Connect the modem to your Airport Express. Then pull power to both for at least five minutes. Then plug power into the modem and wait a minute. Then plug power into the Airport Express and wait a minute. Then try internet access again.

I have installed Adobe digital additions and have tried to authorize but keep getting error message "Connection error" . The internet connection is working and I do have an Adobe ID can you help please.

Try completely removing any authorization using ctrl-shift-D to ADE (cmd-shift-D if on Mac).
Restart ADE, and then reauthorize with your Adobe ID. -
I have a MBA and although I have a broadband connection, the internet speed in the MBA is pathetic. I even can't open a normal song in Youtube in half an hour, so please help !
Has the speed ever been acceptable, or is this something new? Try resetting Safari and perhaps rebooting your router.

Lelisa it is only necessary to connect to the internet periodically to receive updates and validate your membership. If you have an annual membership you can be offline for up to 99 days. You can find additional details at Activation & Deactivation Help.
I would also recommend reviewing Creative Cloud Help | Install, update, or uninstall apps which discusses adjusting the installation language. -
I have a Mac connected to Internet via DSL modem. Just bought an iPad2 and need to know what hardware do I need to add wireless LAN so I can use iPad anywhere in the house. Will a Linksys router work with Apple? Can Mac be "hardwired" and iPad wireless? Probably stupid questions but I need to learn. Thanks.

RF is a minefield, but one that I have worked in for ages, the most critical factor in my experience is location, location, location!
Better routers have more intelligently designed antenna systems, output power as I said is the same, radiation pattern (coverage) is dependent on antennas and physical location more than all other factors. -

‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just cancelling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.

Just bought it a couple of days ago, and its doing this!!! why doed the videos now both on my ipod and itunes not have sound?Your source video file is probably muxed.
Neither QT Pro or iTunes has the ability to successfully encode a muxed video file with audio. You'll end up with video and no audio.
You'll need to use some other third-party software to do the conversion. There's a handful of software available. Just search the forums and you'll find many titles mentioned.
Try MPEG Streamclip. -
I just switched from iphone 4s to LG G3. I'm having issues with bluetooth in my car, iphone would sync automatically but with G3 I have to manually connect to my car's bluetooth every time I turn it on - it won't sync automatically. Any fixes?
You can turn on BT tethering but it disables Wifi so if I have to do that step every time I get in my car, I just as well manually connect on BT every time.

Proxy server in my office does not allow apps like iTunes and Garage Band to connect to the internet.
I believe the IP ports are different from 80 an 8080 and they are not tunable. -

Using custom fonts in app development?
Could somebody inform me if it is possible to use custom fonts of choice when developing an app. If so are there any restrictions? I have read that sinds OS 3.2 iPhonesupports custom fonts, ttf and otf fonts. Is this not the case also for the ipad?
