Have to purchase new license to use previously purchased CS2

I'm surprised that nobody was shocked or had anything to comment about my issue with CS2. I know it's 2 versions back, and I'm currently running CS3 production studio and CS4 design premium, so it's not like I don't like to update. I called about a licensing issue, and the nice lady in India told me I would have to purchase CS4 becuase that is the new version and I'm currently 2 versions behind. In other words, I would have to buy another license in order to activate the license I already purchased? Yes was the response I recieved.
I know it sounds all very crazy, and I wish I were calling from my cell phone so I could have recorded the conversation, but if this is something that anyone else has had an issue with, wil you please let me know how to get around it. I have friends who know how to crack the license, but I'm not like that. I would just like to run this software that I've purchased.

I suggest you get that AppleCare plan cancelled and refunded because you shouldn't have been able to buy it for an iPod that's out of warranty. It must be bought during the initial 12 month warranty.
Then, you'll need to get a new AppleCare plan for the new iPod.

Manually tell new mac to use previous Time Machine backup

Hi There,
We have a Mac Mini server which we use as a Time Machine backup disk - and we have a new Macbook which I migrated from the previous one using Migration Assistent.
But after configuring Time Machine to use the server's backup drive, I didn't see or missed the options to "Use previous disk" or "Inherit backup history".
Is there a way to manually tell Time Machine to use the previous backuop - the Macbook was migrated so has the same username and files.
Any help would be much appreacited.

Get ready:
Turn off Time Machine in: >System Preferences >Time Machine
Mount the Time Machine Backup Drive
If a network or Time Capsule, mount the network drive share
Open Terminal: /Utilities/Terminal.app
Paste the following (ignore $) but don’t hit enter
$ sudo tmutil inheritbackup
Make sure there’s a space after “inheritbackup “
If inheriting from a hard drive:
Open the drive and open /Backups.backupdb
Find the folder name of the backup you want to inherit
Drag the folder into terminal after “inheritbackup “ so the path looks like this:
$ sudo tmutil inheritbackup /Volumes/Backups\Backups.backupdb/Computer\ Name
If inheriting from a Time Capsule or network drive:
Mount the drive
Find the .sparsebundle name of the backup you want to inherit
Drag the .sparsebundle into terminal after “inheritbackup “ like this:
$ sudo tmutil inheritbackup /Volumes/Client\ Backups-1/Computer\ Name
Inherit the backups:
Ensure there's a space between "inheritbackup" and the path to your backup and hit enter
Enter your machine’s admin password
When finished you should see:
Claiming disk image for machine...
Ejecting disk image...
$
Quit Terminal
Turn on Time Machine in: >System Preferences >Time Machine
Trouble shooting:
If you see the following error: “Failed to attach disk image. (error 35)”
Then Time Machine wasn’t off or hadn’t shut down before you ran the command

I purchased photoshop cs6 for download for my macbook air in 2012. recently i broke my mac, losing everything i had on it. i'm wondering is there a way i can download cs6 again for my new mac,and use the valid serial number i had before. there doesn't seem to be an option to download cs6 on the adobe website anymore? any help would be much appreciated. i can't really afford to spend the €250+ again on a new version

Unable to request new license key

Hello.
I have some problems. Shortly - we've moved our server to the vSphere and had to reinstall SAP.
Now - the problem. As server's IP, name, etc changed we have to request new license key.
There's a problem though. I've logged in as Super-administrator yet I cannot request new license (even though I have all the required authorizations assigned).
For example:
System Data Maintenance -> Your Recently Used Systems.
When I select my System ID I get No authorization to execute this function. Please, contact your system administrator. message. How come I'm SA and have all the authorizations required.
OK, next thing to check - Maintain System and Installation Data. I search for our installation using data in the forms, search engine founds the information requierd. Upon clicking on the system - the same message appears.
Next option: Select System from Hierarchy. After clicking on the System ID: Currently you do not have authorization to use this function. To request the authorization, please contact one of the administrators at your company: and I am listed below. HOW COME!?
I've clicked /super-admins and could see duplicated entry with my account.
Monday starts in a few hours and I doubt we'll be able to use it on the new server so the only thing remaining is to hook up the old one and then transfer database after successful installation.
Or maybe someone will help by then?

Today, I installed the Tuxedo 10.0 64-bit file on a Solaris 9 box, and got error "You do not have a valid SDK license" when used buildserver after setup. The license key file which was downloaded from this site (http://commerce.bea.com/showproduct.jsp?family=TUX&major=10&minor=0) contains the line "TYPE=RTK", and that doesn't seem to be a right type for a developer license.
Curently, is there any other web site that will provide a developer license file for Tuxedo 10 ?
Advice is appreciated.

I went to the edelivery site and downloaded the SDK license, the Tuxedo 10 installation is running ok now.

I have installed a new license in CUEAC to add an additional operator but still only one operator shows up in operator management. Is there something that has to be done after uploading the license to show the second operator?

don't just sign out!
if you simply sign out, the stuff you recently purchased will be an issue in the future when an update comes out for apps or anything else. restore the device as new from itunes then restore from a back if you have one as stated above...or set up as new and use correct apple id. this will ensure you will be using the apple id that you used originally without issues from the new one.

In order to continue to play and sync the music you purchased with your old account, you'll need to authorize your new computer/iTunes library to do so. You can do this by choosing Store -> Authorize This Computer and then entering in your old account credentials.
That's all you should need to. Then just create your own account and start purchasing and using it the same you have with the old one.

Purchases you have made from the iTunes Store should in most cases be in the Cloud (unless the rights owner has had it removed or you are in a country which does not permit this). Other music such as CDs you have ripped are only there if you subscribe to iTunes Match.

Many users have lost photos while preforming a restore from backup or upgrading the iOS. Recall, only photos in the camera roll are backed up to iCloud. There is a way to turn backups for camera roll on/off, perhaps these users had camera roll turned off.

Settings>icloud>Storage & Backups>Manage Storage, tap the device's name and on the next screen, be sure Camera Roll is turned on.
IMPORTANT...
Photos should be regularly synced to a computer (like you store photos from a digital camera) using either USB via iTunes (on a mac use iPhoto or Aperture to move them to an album) or using photo stream. If using Photo stream, but sure to move the received photos to a permanent album. If you have been doing that, then you can sync those photos back to your device.
Or, you can find other apps in the app store that send camera roll photos to a service like Dropbox.
If you haven't been saving photos except relying on iCloud to store them in a backup, then that is risky, as many users have discovered. I'm afraid I have no advice in this case - there is no "cure".

All ipad apps are not neccessarily compatible with iphone. There are some universal apps.

1) authorize iTunes on the new machine for your iTunes store account(s)
2) connect your device and right-click or control-click it in the iTunes Source list, then choose transfer purchases from the shortcut menu that appears.
3) sync the device
iTunes will wipe the iPod but, since you transferred your purchases in the previous step, your content will be in your library and you can re-populate the iPod with it.
