  • TS1646 I have entered my ZIP code correctly but it's five digits long and the Store "corrects" it to the nine-digit version, which my bank doesn't recognize.

I tried calling the support line for this and got hung up on, but the only thing wrong here is what the iTunes Store is doing--"correcting" my five-digit ZIP code to a nine-digit version my bank doesn't recognize. It's not like I'm going to change my correct billing address for this, so what do I do?

Have your bank put the full 9-digit zipcode into your records. The postal service doesn't require them, but they prefer them. It's very common to have the zipcode changed by online vendors to assist in shipping.
The problem is with your bank. Their software should know better.

  • I installed Lion 10.7.4.  Went to use Photoshop Cs and got a popup window.  You can't open the application Adobe Photoshop CS because PowerPC applications are no longer supported.    Is there a way of getting this to work or do I have to get the all new!

I installed Lion 10.7.4.     Went to use Photoshop Cs and got a popup window.  You can't open the application Adobe Photoshop CS because PowerPC applications are no longer supported.    Is there a way of getting this to work or do I have to get newest version of all of my Power PC apps?

    Welcome to Apple Communities
PowerPC applications are unsupported in newer versions. You can upgrade Photoshop or you can install Snow Leopard in a partition.
    1. Open Disk Utility (Applications > Utilities) and select your drive
    2. Go to Partitions tab, press + button, create a new partition and press Apply
    3. Insert the Snow Leopard install DVD and reboot pressing C key
    4. Install it in the new partition
    5. If you want to change boot, go to System Preferences > Startup Disk and select 10.7

According to this page, you can use it for CC:

    Or you can buy CS6:

A "quick" fix that worked for me was to uninstall Adobe... then download the base install for Adobe Reader 11.0.
Then download each of the individual updates and run them sequentially.
I've installed back up to the last security update which is version 08 and have been able to do normal Save As operations.
You will have to disable automatic updates in order to stay at version 08 until Adobe resolves this issue in a later release.

  • How can I uninstall and reinstall Adobe AIR so that AIR apps will find it?

I installed Master Collection CS5.5 Trial, and I can run Photoshop and other apps, but Help, Content Viewer and Widget Browser won't run, they give an error message "This application requires a version of Adobe AIR which cannot be found."
Before I installed the trial, there was no AIR installed (Clean Windows install)... After the trial is installed, I note that AIR 2.5 has been installed - and yet I get the above message. I try uninstalling 2.5, get the same message. After restoring the previous image (which does not have AIR installed yet), I go to <www.adobe.com/go/getair> as instructed; it seems to download 3.2, it shows up that way in the program list, but still same messages and I cannot uninstall this version either (3.2, same message).
I followed the recommendation from here (and Microsoft) to use Mr. Fixit to uninstall, which appears to work successfully, and then reinstall from <www.adobe.com/go/getair>, which also appears to go successfully, but same erorrs as before.
I restored the backup image again (no AIR), and try to download the trial version online, I download the Download Assistant, it runs and downloads AIR 3.2 and apparently downloads it, and yet it STILL gets the same message as above, and it too cannot be uninstalled (same message when uninstall is tried)
I can't find any way to attach the log file, so /i will quote it inline here:

As an alternative I am re-downloading the MC 5.5 through direct link instead of the Download Assistant which does not work, but I expect it will have the same problems.
    Thanks.

Can you try the following for me.
Run the microsoft fix it and have it uninstall AIR
Delete the folder: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe AIR (this might also be in Program Files(x86))
    Delete the folder: C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Adobe
    Delete the folder: C:\Users\chris\AppData\Local\Adobe\AIR
Install AIR 3.2 by itself, from: http://airdownload.adobe.com/air/win/download/3.2/AdobeAIRInstaller.exe
Install Adobe Community Help from here: http://www.adobe.com/support/chc/air/350/AdobeHelp.air
Does the AdobeHelp.air file install if you double click it?

  • Cannot uninstall or reinstall Adobe Air on XP - tried everything

I cannot uninstall or reinstall Adobe Air and now Pandora is not working. If I click the Air installer it says Air is already installed but the Pandora app says I need to install Air. If I look in add/remove programs it is not listed. I have tried the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility and the Microsoft Fix it but Air does not show up in them either. I am running XP SP3.              Thanks, Lance

Regarding error 1606 - have a look at this article http://support.microsoft.com/kb/886549/.
If you still cannot uninstall Adobe Reader, use the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility to remove it.  (But I recently heard of problems when using the cleanup tool if Office 2007 is installed.)
After removing Adobe Reader, download http://ardownload.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/9.x/9.3/enu/AdbeRdr930_en_US.msi, save it to disk, then close all browser windows and run the downloaded installer.

  • Cannot uninstall and then reinstall Adobe Air

It has been working fine before; the BBC iplayer ask me to reinstall Adobe Air recently.
I have manged to uninstall AA from the program list (but not sure if it is done correctly). When I try to reinstall AA, a message state that 'Adobe Air is already installed on your computer'.
How can I make sure that AA is actually uninstall from my computer.
    Thanks,
    Gordon

Try to go to the following site and uninstall Adobe Air. Then reinstall AA after restarting the computer.

Subject: Cannot uninstall and then reinstall Adobe Air
I have a similar problem. AdobeAir for me is associated with BBC iPlayer. Recently it told me of an update but then said I needed administrator permission. The computer is my own and I am the administrator. I have tried to uninstall via Control Panel but I cannot do that either without administrator permission. My platform in Windows XP. I have also downloaded a new version of Adobe Air from the website and tried installing that but again it asks for administrator permission. Has anyone any idea how to get around this?

You cannot run Photoshop CS on a new Intel-based Mac running OS X Mavericks. CS is far too old.
You'll have to buy Photoshop CS6 or Photoshop Elements 12. Or subscribe to CC.

  • I've attempted to download Illustrator, but the message is that Adobe no longer supports the system on my computer. What do I do?  Is there a way to receive an older version that does download on my system?

Without knowing anything about your computer we can't advise specifically. You can download CS6 versions in CC by checking the "older versions/ other versions" stuff in teh bottom section of the CC app's "Apps" tab, but that may not resolve your issues.

I'm having this issue as well only with a little different twist I guess. I'm transferring the iWorks applications from my Macbook Pro 3,1 with Lion to a new MBP 10,1 running Mountain Lion. I transferred the apps over using DropCopy since the older MBP doesn't have AirPlay. Applications show up but crash upon opening. This is the first install so there are no previous plist, versions or such to delete. All three crashed upon opening every time until I just had to have Keynote and purchased again - although Apple agreed to refund that purchase since my previous version quit working. Any ideas since I don't have any previous plist/versions to delete? Thanks in adavnce for any help you can offer.
