apparently its a compatibility bug between greasemonkey and tab mix plus. If you have both those installed, the fix is to download the latest build of greasemonkey, 0.9.11, here:

Is there a way to get the new tab opened by ctrl+click to open to the right of the current tab, rather than the far right?

I'm using Firefox 6.0.2.
In previous versions there was an option to select where a new tab using ctrl+click would open. For instance, if I have 5 tabs open and am using the third tab and ctrl+click on a link, I would like that link to open in position 4, not position 6 (which is the default).

The default is to open the new tab next to the tab that is in use. The setting is:
* browser.tabs.insertRelatedAfterCurrent -set to true

Problems using right click to open in new Tab or Window. Will not work. How do you solve this. Have v5.0 installed.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
See [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] and [[Troubleshooting plugins]]
If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the ''Safe mode'' start window.
You have to close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (on Mac: "Firefox > Quit")

After Firefox has been on for awhile, the Firefox tabs on the task bar disappear even though the pages are still running. I have to use Ctrl+Tab to fix it

I have started using Firefox recently. My computer is running XP. I notice that whether I have one Firefox window or multiple windows open, after awhile the Firefox tabs on the bottom task bar just disappear.
In order to get them back I have to use Ctrl+Tab to select each window one at a time and then they re-appear again on the task bar. Then after awhile they will disappear again.

Updating to Yosemite I now have to use command O to open things now as double clicking them doesnt work. Anyone else have this issue?

Maybe a Restart will help. I can double-click anything to open it on Yosemite.

Navigating using CTRL-Click

Hello,
I was looking through some of the Jdeveloper demos available on the Oracle website about the code editor. I was trying to use the functionality to navigate between classes by Ctrl-Clicking on an object with my source code. Just like the Go To Declaration option on the RMB menu. When I use ctrl-click, nothing happens. Is this a bug or am I missing something?
The version of Jdeveloper I am using is Oracle JDeveloper 10G Developer Preview - version 10.1.3.0.2

You are using the developer preview. Switch to the production version of JDeveloper 10.1.3 and you'll have this functionality. You can download it from OTN.

Who is using any of the open PDF parameters

I'm interested to see who uses any of the open PDF parameters to open a PDF in the browser.
As I find links to PDF on the web I have not come across any that use any of these parameters to open a PDF in the browser. Maybe someone out there has or is using them and I just don't know about it.
Please provide any links to web sites that use these PDF open parameters. I would love to see them in action.
I already know how they work and have the documentation. I just want to see them in action if anyone is using them.

FF 6.0 doesn't open pdf-links, after clicking on "open pdf" error message says file not supported or damaged. IE opens file all right. Please advice.

Firefox 6.0 doesn't open pdf-links after clicking on "open pdf". I frequently need to do literature searches and I need to view pdf files in the browser. After clicking on the pdf - link of a file the main options are to open or download the pdf. Every time I try to open a pdf-file a blank page and an error message appears saying the file would not be supported or is damaged. IE, however, opens the file all right. I tried various changes in the security and cookie settings without success. Please advice.

This document is almost certainly a dynamic XFA form. Unfortunately, our mobile Reader does not support displaying or filling such forms. The application that produces this form embeds this message into the document so that non-supportive viewers (like ours) will display this "error" page when the document opens. I do realize that this is confusing and I would like to add some additional detection to our Reader for this case. However, we've avoided doing this for fear of confusing users even further. Your feedback helps though. Hopefully we'll find a way to detect this case and present a better message to the user like: This form is not supported by the mobile version of the Adobe Reader. Please open and fill it on the non-mobile version of the Adobe Reader for Windows, Linux or Mac OSX.

Using firefox 14.0.1. Loading a link using right-click and "Open Link In New Window", results in new window opening but address bar does not show URL. However, if I right click on a link and select "Open Link In New Tab", the Tab shows URL in address bar. So it's working when it's a New Tab but not a New Window.

To Reset Firefox do the following:

Where did you purchase this. The US phones do not come with the SIM removal tool anymore. They haven't for some time now. I'm not even sure it comes with any of the devices anymore. You can just straighten out a paper clip and do the same thing.

QT opens when I click to open PDFs

I upgraded to QT Pro last week and now when I try to open PDF files with Adobe Reader, QT starts and displays the document. This document can't be zoomed, scrolled, or printed. I have checked for preferences in QT and Reader and can't determine where I am supposed to look to get back to Reader as the default PDF program.

Not meaning to flame (really, I'm not) but you need to read a bit more carefully. Do not right-click on the PDF. As David said, just select it (single click) and Get Info on it (command under the File menu or Command-I). Then you'll see the section that says "open with". That's where you change the application and where you'll see the "Change all" button.

open spotlight and type the name of any folder. Select it. A finder window will open. Basically you just need a finder window. right click on the title of the window. You will get a dropdown menu. Select the name of your hard disk ( most probably "Macintosh HD") now you will see a folder named system alongside applications, users, library, etc. click on the system folder. Then click on the library folder which is the only folder that appears once you get inside system folder.
now scroll down and find CoreServices folder. Open it and then find dock.app and open it.
