Have tried downloading F 4.0.1 several times on Windows desktop XP2 with "save the file". It appears to download, but never is activated. I this related to MAfee firewall as well as Windows firewall on? How do I inactivate windows firewall emporarily?
Windows XP2 desktop. Tried downloading F setup 4.0.1 exe several times , asked to save file (both McAfee and windows firewall are on.: can't access windows firewall to inactivate itif this is necessary.. It downloads: but cannot access download: not listed in my apps.

I managed to fix this issue myself..I can access the home page as normal.
This is what fixed the issue.
Step 1 : Un-installed Oracle XE while logged in to the domain. ( Made sure it cleaned all installation files and registry and env variables by cross checking registry as mentioned here .
Step 2 : Logged in as admin on the local machine ( not domain ) and reinstalled it. Now it works just fine. (Closed all programs - didn’t open any programs..just ran Oracle installation )
I did install oracle xe logged in as a domain user before ( and my domain is user is part of local administrators) and it all worked just fine. May be it’s a permissions issue ( though I ran oracle installation as admin ) or host name change issue.
Phew..anyhow..finally it works!!

I don't understand what I am doing wrong. Bought music straight off my phone. When I log on my computer, I see it under purchased items. I downloaded them to my computer and see the files with all my other music. However, when I go to file, add folder to library...it doesn't do anything and the songs won't add to m library. ????

i have just recieved my ipad mini. it wont sync with the computer as me Itunes is only version 6 the Ipad says it needs version 7. have done an update and downloaded the Itunes again but its still 6. You need a much later version than iTunes 7 so I'm not sure what you are talking about. If the iPad is running iOS 6 I'm quite sure that you need iTunes 10.7 - unless that is what you mean.

Hi, Thanks Ned. I click on the 'try now' or install icon and then the download begins. When it gets to about 50% installed it stops and says, install fail then try again. I try again and again, but each time its stops at about the 50% point.

Trying to update my software (iPhone and iPad) it says my iTunes software needs to be updated, but it is already is. I try this over and over again. I've already reinstalled iTunes and have shut down and restarted my Mac several times. How can I fix this?

I am running Windows 7 and have tried to install iCloud. No matter what instructions I follow, I still get the error message "This Apple ID is valed but is not an iCloud account." How can I resolved this?
I've tried both. First, I tried on my pc, where iTunes had installed iCloud when it last updated. I have iTunes installed on this computer (and on my iPad and iPhone), but that wasn't the issue.
So I went online, thinking I needed a separate iCloud Apple ID, but it prompted me for my current Apple ID and gave me the message about my ID being "valid" but not an iCloud account," which, lol, was what it had asked me to do in order to create one. plug cable into computer not phone
turn phone off
hold home button and plug cable into phone. do not release home button until an itunes graphic appears on device.

Can anyone please help me? I have tried downloading my purchased music on iCloud to my i devices, iPhone 5 and iPod touch has downloaded purchased music successfully and I can access all songs in my music library. My iPad 2 will not transfer the music to the music library. I have tried everything and had numerous emails ith the support team but still not working. Can anyone help?
Are you absolutely sure the apple ID used to connect to the itunes store is the right one?

I am on Acrobat DC trial. On earlier versions have no problem with duplex printing. Now with DC, it's impossible. I have tried downloading latest printer software, etc, etc. Nothing seems to0 work. Any ideas please?
Ralph, Thanks for replying. There where no received SIP messages at all just the INVITE being sent but I have made some more progress. The mini does indeed just work. I can do everything that you are supposed to do to other ichat users on the internet. Very nice.
The imac is still playing up but I have got further. I had peerguardian2 installed which unknown to me doesn't need to be running to prevent you for accessing 'barred' IP addresses. snatmap.mac.com is barred in the lists! I discovered this when I saw one of your other posts showed how to turn on terminal logging for ichat. Now that I have turned off peerguardian2 (using the disable filters option) I can make calls to the testbot and see the adverts. I have even done a video conference with the two testbots. I will just uninstall peerguardian2.
However, I can not get a AV chat working to a real user....

I have tried all the options for quicktime streaming but will try 1.5Mb/s again.
The ichat bandwidth limit is set to "none". I am in New Zealand and I have standard ADSL (not ADSL2+) 7.6M down 512K up. The mini config is also set to none.
Internet sharing is off.
I have had parallels on the machine but the two interfaces that it installed "Parallels Host-Guest" and "Parallels NAT" are configured 'off' and show as not connected. Is this enough? I will uninstall parallels and see if that helps since I don't use it. I also have VMware's thing installed but that doesn't seem to add any interfaces.
I need to capture a full trace of the imac to other ichat user to see what is happening but will update when I have does your suggested changes or have a trace

i completed a software update yesterday and whenever I try and launch iTunes now it crashes almost immediately. I have tried downloading an installing the latest version but to no avail - any ideas?
Have you tried temporarily turning off your firewall and antivirus software until the download has completed ?
