Have two playlist?

I want to have two playlist on my ipod Shuffle, and be able to switch between them with a sequence of button presses, just like to go back to the beginning of the playlist, you hit the play/pause button 3 times.
Would I need custom firmware? Or how would I go about doing this? I'm thinking I'd need some custom firmware in order to recognize two different playlist.
I'm running Gentoo, and Windows XP, so if there is a way/program in either OS..

You're not going to get satisfaction since there's NO "custom firmware" available for the shuffle... the closest to what you want is the multiplaylist capability on Creative's Zen Stone with "...a conveniently placed quick-play mode switch, let you skip to the next song or folder, or randomly play all the songs in your player with a single touch..."

Why do I have two playlists??

So after not loging into itunes for several months I got on the other night signed in, and downloaded ten songs with a gift card I had. When I went to sync my ipod it told me it was synched with another library(which is the ten new songs). So I can't sync the new songs without deleting what is already on my ipod. But I am really confused because I can look at my library and it has all my music...new and old. HELP how do I fix this and what can I do to keep it from happening again?? THANKS!!

If you were say, scaling a clip, you could have up to 3 animation lines. One for the X scale, Y scale, and Z scale. If you try to add a keyframe and move it in the keyframe editor, you'd only end up affecting one of those properties because they are on top of each other. That's one possible reason.
Also, if you have an animation property being affected by a behavior, and then choose to ALSO add keyframes to the same property, it could result in two animation lines. One lighter (as the picture) that you can't move/adjust, and the keyframed line.

I have two laptops authorized with the same itunes account. One computer is not working, so I want to know how I can access my playlists, etc. that are one that computer on the working one?

I have two laptops authorized with the same itunes account. However, there are different playlists on each laptop. One laptop is messed up and I cannot get on the internet with it, so I was able to deauthorize it from the itunes account. I thought that would bring the playlists over to the other computer, but it did not. Is there a way to do it?

I have to have two apple TV to play different playlists using the same AV Receiver dual zone?

Hi folks.
I have a AV receiver dual zone and I'd like to play different playlists from my computer in each zone. To do that i have to have two Apple TV connected in this Receiver?

Hi,
There are two easy fixes to this.
One, you can set up Family Sharing, in which you can have two different iCloud Accounts, yet still share the same apps, music, media etc.
Two, go to Settings and turn-off "Handoff". This can be found under the General page.

Transferring playlists
If you want not only your content but also your playlists to exist on your new computer, you will want to transfer a copy of all your playlists from your old computer. To do this, choose File > Library > Export Library on your old computer. Save the XML file that is created to your desktop.
Send the playlists file to yourself as an e-mail attachment, use an external drive, or use file sharing to move the playlists file to your new computer. Once the file is on your new computer, open iTunes and choose File > Library > Import Playlist. The import process will remove any items from the playlists that you didn't share via Home Sharing.

I have two libraries on the same computer but different logins, there is my user account for the computer and then there is my grandma's, how do i get my music without having to resync on both libraries?

this computer has two logins, my grandma's (which is the administrator) and mine, itunes is on both logins but on my login i have some music there and hers i have my other music.. i want to be able to redownload my music on my ipod touch with out having to resync back and forth between libraries.. how do i combine the libraries because if i go with one or the other i lose my music i have purchased, on both libaries the music belongs to me not my grandma,
Also, a few weeks ago, I loaned the IPOD to somebody and they told me that evidently the IPOD had been hacked and that it had lost all the music. When I got it back, I re-synced it and got some of the music back. After talking to other people, I now suspect that my "friend" tried to do something he wasn't suppose to to and the IPOD shut down or that he was trying to create an Apple ID of his own without paying for it. Now that I have it back, I just want to get the music back that I paid for that is already associated with my ID and that is in my two libraries. I can see them in there (on the computer), I just can't access them to download them on the IPOD. Can you help?

Just to summarise what's in the link above:
Method one is to have two Mac or Windows user accounts which by definition would give you two completely separate libraries.
Method two is to set your preferences so that either one or both iPods get updated with only certain playlists within one library. If you've had no success with this you can have a look through the guide on this page: Loading songs onto iPod automatically

I am just trying to figure out the best way to share my mac with my wife and sync her iphone as well. right now i just use my account for everything but want to possibly create here a user account on the mac so that her icloud can be there with her contacts. I then would use itunes under her account but do not want to have all my music on my hard drive twice. I also want to add new music to my itunes and have it also show up in hers. Is there a way to do this?

I gave my daughters each an old iPOD. One is 20 GB and the other is 60 GB. I take an iBOOK laptop with me when I visit so I can update them. In the past, they shared the 20 GB iPOD only. Alternatively, they can set their iPods to manual syncing and then when Dad is visiting they can hook up their iPods and "shop" the library and drag in whatever they want to add to the iPods and delete what they no longer want.

Can I have two libraries on one iTunes program?

I have two different iPods - one a nano, one a video - and I'm trying to create a way to install on the video iPod its own separate songs without having it import all the original nano's songs from its library. SO FRUSTRATING.
Do I really have to import all 400 songs from my nano's library onto the video, and then go from there importing new songs for the video iPod? And why, when I installed the video iPod's iTunes CD, was a new iTunes application not created in order to keep the two different iPods' independent of one another?

First of all there can only be one iTUnes with one library on a user account in windows. There is afew programs that will create 2 librarys but you most likly will not need this.
You can create 2 user accounts on windows for each iPOd, but thats usually for 2 people using one PC that want there own separate iTUnes and music.
If both iPods are yours you will most likly want to set one ipod (Most Likly the nano) to "Auto update selected playlist" and select which playlist you want on that nano. to do this connect the nano, rightclick it in iTUnes, hit options and set it. then the video iPOd since its bigger in size you can leave it set on its default of "Auto update all songs".
Another note just so you know, it is possiable to connect 2 ipods at the same time, but HIGHLY recommened NOT TO DO THIS because it can confuse iTUnes and the ipod service running in the background of windows and cause you and iTUnes major headaches

Go to the Music section of your Library (very top-left corner) and see if your songs are there. The "Purchased" playlist may have been deleted or gotten corrupted, but if that happens it's not a big deal because your music should still be in your main Music Library.
If your music is NOT in the Music section of your Library, then go to the iTunes Store homepage and find the Quick Links list on the right side. At the top of that list, click Purchased and you can redownload all of your previous content that you might have lost.
