Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
* "Clear the Cache": Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
* "Remove the Cookies" from sites causing problems: Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Yes, it is the same with me. I know a friend how upgraded to iso7 and lost all of his game center data. He tried singning in and re singning in but no change. Plus on to of all of this, apple is like have me and him to re-validate our itunes acount. Somthing weried is going on. So verified my itunes acount and it shows under settings that I am signed in, but when I go to the app store on my iPhone and try downloading or even updating a app, it says "can not conect to itunes store" after singing in! AND I'M NOT SURE I AM GOING TO UPGRADE TO ISO7 YET UNTILL THEY FIX THIS BUG!!!! HELP! -
I have a Dell Inspiron E1505, and I use Kaspersky Internet Security. The past week, I've had problems opening Firefox - it has been slow. Today, it just won't open at all. At first I thought it was my Internet connection, so I called my provider, Comcast Cable. But I was also able to open Internet Explorer. I was told that I may have to remove Firefox, and redownload it, but it would erase all my bookmarks. How can I access Firefox and save my bookmarks?
Try starting Firefox in Safe Mode (Firefox Safe Mode, not Windows Safe Mode).
First, I recommend backing up your Firefox settings in case something goes wrong. See [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Backing+up+your+information Backing up your information]. (You can copy your entire Firefox profile folder somewhere outside of the Mozilla folder.)

how can i contact itunes to get back my previous products i have purchased. I have emailed them several times but they won 't return my emails.
iTunes support is online only. E-mail them again. Realize they may not necessarily respond immediately.
Of course if you had your purchases backed up on a hard drive you wouldn't need to contact them at all and they could be back on your computer in a matter of minutes. -
How can I recover a Mail mailbox that disappeared?
Working offline during a flight, I created a new "Mailbox" -- i.e. a subfolder -- within an account in Mail and moved some messages into it. Back on the ground and reconnected with the Internet, that subfolder has disappeared, along with all the messages in it. Where did it go? Is it possible to recover it?
If it makes any difference, it was a Gmail account accessed via IMAP.
Thanks.Well, it may be a moot point. I think have found all the messages, still in the folder where they originally resided. Just the new "mailbox" disappeared.

After migration from 10.5 to 10.8 the notes which were previouly included in Mail.app are now separated in a specific app. After migration my new Notes are empty. How can I transfer my old notes to the new one?

Another problem that was there before v.4, is that the bottom tab hides behind other tabs, so I have to close everything else to get to it. If you have advice on that too, it would be much appreciated.

Since 10 days ago I can no longer put pictures on facebook and email documents (powerpoint slides with images). Now I have to use internet explorer to do these. I contacted AOL they weren't able to fix it and guided me to use the internet explorer

The only way to get it fixed is to contact the carrier to whom the phone is locked. You will need to find out:
1) IF the carrier offers unlocking. Not all carriers do
2) IF the carrier indeed offers unlocking, what the requirements are. You might not fulfill them. -

I have just updated to Pages 5.1 and now the templares which I have saved do not displat the header and footer which they were saved with in the previous version. How can I have the header and footer included when I open a template?
That is becuase Pages 5.1 has numerous unnounced surprises for the unwary user. Among the surprises:
- it strips out images from headers and footers without warning
- it strips out bookmarks without wanring (yes, all those bookamrks you laboriously put into a document: poof! Gone.)
- it strips out alternating left/right margins, without warning.
There are many more suprises, as you'll see from glancing through these discussions. They fall into two main categories: things that are present in version 4.3 but that are missing in 5.1, things like
-mail merge
-meaningful Applescript/Services support
-non-contiguous text selection
-ability to set defaul zoom
-ability to see comments while editing
-ability to print comments
-ability to read RTF files
-ability to drag in hyperlinked ted from a browser
These about about 90 other features are gone.
Then there are the bugs. Hyperlinks do not reliably export to a PDF file any longer. There have been multiple problems with printing report. Some fonts place stray characters in the headers. Many reports of the program crashing, courrupting files, etc.
Fortunately for you, the previous version of Pages is still on your system. Export any documents you may have created or edited with Pages 5.1 (another great surprise: files created with version 5.1 cannot be read by any previous version of Pages: not just 4.3 but even 5.01!). Then trash 5.1 and use 4.3 until (unless?) it is stable and has a reasonably robust feature set. -
What's with the new Firefox 8.0? I made the mistake of updating mine and about 30% of the icons in bookmarks disappeared. It looks like you are requiring a favicon. Anyway, BAD IDEA!!!!!
Briansyddal - you might be able to manage your phone without a PC, but many of us can't, especially those of us with large iTunes libraries. How do you propose I manage my 250GB of music using only a phone? Maybe I could go out and buy 10 iPhones and spread my library out among them!
Catz537 - I have the same problem as you and I've spent hours on the web trying to find a solution to it. It was a problem with iOS 7 and 8.1.1 doesn't fix it. The the only advice from Apple is completely useless because it requires you, effectively, to delete and recreate your iTunes library and lose all your metadata, album art, notes etc and there's also no guarantee it will work. I wish I could be more help (even more - I wish Apple could be more help) - I updated to 8.1.1 at 1400 today. At 2200 I'm still "waiting for changes to be applied" for a measly 16GB of music transfer.
