Have v. 3.6.17, cant update as a message says I have Firefox running and to close it. What now, I do close all I can.

I have v. 3.6.17, and cant update as a message comes on stating that another version of Firfox is running. I am instructed to close same. I can't find what they are talking about. Even Task Manager doen't show another firefox running.

Are you looking at the "processes" tab in the Task Manager.

When I close Firefox my computer says it is still running and I have to restart my computer to get Firefox to run...this is a first for me.

Every time I close Firefox and try to restart it my computer leaves a message that I still have Firefox running and that it is unresponsive and needs to be closed. The problem is that there isn't a still-running Firefox to be found, consequently it is impossible to close and therefore impossible to open. Your iPad will read a an external device (drive) when connected to the PC, and Windows will assign it a letter. If you use several Flash Drives, like I do, you may discover that drive letters get jumbled around a lot.
In your "Computer" window the iPad should be listed as a removable device. Check the letter assigned to it. Whatever that letter is, is the one you need to be updating to. You may need to change the letter of the iPad using the Disk Management utility":

Are you trying to update your iPhone using iTunes on your computer? If so, did you make purchases through the iTunes Store or App Store on your iPhone, and fail to sync them with your computer? That is the likely meaning of what you are seeing. If this is true, the purchases would be added to iTunes in your computer before the upgrade proceeds.

If there are problems with updating then best is to download the full version and uninstall the currently installed version and delete the Firefox program folder to remove any leftover files.

You are not doing anything wrong. The January 2014 update of Photoshop CC added the option to embed OR link Smart Objects. Until this Photoshop CC update, Smart Objects were always embedded in the Photoshop document. Although it made the file size larger, it was like a built-in backup plan because any placed files were included in the document. Now you have the option of embedding or linking the Smart Object. Linking references the file rather than actually copying it to your current file. In terms of your small tutorial, choose Embed.

If you restored as new, without using a backup, and still only get an option to restore, there is a hardware problem or the phone was previously hacked (jailbroken, downgraded iOS, unauthorized unlock). Your only option is to take it to Apple or whoever provides iPhone service in your country.
