Have you heard about "Softpedia" and the program "Burn"?
I ran across this site (Softpedia) from a Leo Laporte mac news podcast.
I have a CRT imac and have an external CD/DVD burner. I can play DVD's and CD's from this and have even burned CD's.
Have you heard about this site? Any good/bad news I should know about them?
I have upgraded my hard drive so I have over 100 GB of space, I’m running system 10.3. 500 megs of ram.
I know I don’t have toast, but may want to try burning a DVD, will Burn work? Have you Heard anything about this program. Free sounds good to me! But is it too good to be true?

Haven't heard about them . I use Disk Burner from centromedia ( http://www.centromedia.com/en/products/discburner/index.html ) that along with Patchburn ( http://www.patchburn.de/download.html ) . Patchburn I have because of the drive wouldn't be recognized without it ( came from an old HP pc ) Both are free . Disk Burner works great with iTunes , iMovie , iPhoto ,... it blends itself well with the OS just like it came with the system . Good luck.

The Date on the the supposed Apple i-Phone Incorporated Certificate predates the iPhone's public release date.

Cheers - VinnyWell. This is not caused by any app nor is it a software fault in general. But someone told me, that the owner could have let change the screen after the damage that caused the dent. Anyway, this problem exists. The question is how many units are affected and why this is. However. Cheers.

Elements 10 was deactivated on desktop and installed on new laptop. Have on
y used it for photo editing until yesterday. Created a slide show with music but every time I try to burn to cd or move it to hard drive after about 15 sec, it says windows has encountered a problem with this program and must shut down.
I Also can't sign in to adobe with the program. It simply spins and I had to force close the program.
help!?I am using photoshop Elements 10 under the create tab...slide show.
Used it on my desktop several times. Deactivated it and installed on new lap top about 5 months ago. Had not used it other than for photo editing until today.
I can also not login in thru the program. It simply spins and I finally had to force close the program

Hi, I just installed my Creative Suite 6 and the programs close right after launching (for about 5 seconds) with no dialog box about an error. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing but still the same thing. Help pls!

Firefox 5 worked fine. I installed Firefox 7, and when I ran it, tabs would just say "connecting to..." and hang. Restarting did not help. Websites open fine in IE and Chrome. Disabled all firewalls and antivirus, did not help. Uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox 5, everything worked fine again. This was using Vista 64-bit.
Upgraded to Windows 7, uninstalled Firefox 5, installed Firefox 7, had same problem. Uninstalled Firefox 7 completely (including the profile information, I saved that information in another folder), restarted computer, and installed Firefox 7 using a completely clean profile. Did not install any add-ons, checked to make sure all plug-ins were up-to-date, and updated plugins.
Now when I start Firefox, I can load 3 or 4 or 5 tabs fine -- after those first few tabs are open, I cannot open or refresh any other tabs -- including about:config and the add-on manager -- I have to restart Firefox. The hangup doesn't appear to be related to what websites I am attempting to open, but it looks like the number is the problem. I have run through all of the FAQ procedures, including changing the max number of network connections to 48, and the problem does not seem to go away.
As a side note, I had this same problem when I tried to go from version 5 to version 6 as well. Version 5 is the most recent version that worked on my system.Can you try Aurora - download it from http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/channel/

I'm not sure if I'm in the right forum for this question, but I don't know where else to ask about installing on cross platforms. So, the computer I use at work is a PC. I know you are allowed to install the programs on two computers, one work computer and one laptop. My laptop is a Mac. Is it possible to install the second copy on a Mac?

IPad 3 light leak under the bezel? What have you done about it?
If you have an iPad 3. Tilt towards you, looking underneath the bezel (under the camera) has your iPad got any lights showing? It's not bleeding onto the screen, in fact it doesn't interfere at all under normal use of the iPad. I have read many forums and it does seem to be quite common,but i would like to know what have you done about it? Have you replaced within 14 days and got a brand new iPad and been satisfied ? Or have you had another with worse or different issues? Or have you ignored the issue and kept the iPad?
I walked into comet and the first iPad 3 I picked up had exactly the same issue. I asked the bloke, he said yes? It's no problem, it's common in led screens and with the iPads new retina screen your bound to get this problem on some but it's no problem as doesn't effect your everyday use. Not the point though is it, we pay 400-579 for this thing!
I also rang apple and they spoke with their technical team and they came back and said the lights under the bezel seems unusual. To try and restore the iPad and see if that solves it. Solves a hardware problem?? How did they get their jobs? Crazy. So now I am in the middle of returning the iPad for a replacement but I am debating whether to even bother as I have read a lot of replacements people have received have numerous other problems, like dead pixels, light leakage, scratches.
I would appreciate any feedback from those who have had this same issue and what did you do about it ?Mine has some along the right side. It is very slight, and does not affect the screen,even with a black image displayed in a dark room. So I chose to ignore it. This iPad will be going back though, as the bottom half of the screen has a pink tint on it. My advice is to see if it affects a dark picture in a dark room. If it doesn't, I would keep it. But in the end, you have to make your own decision and be comfortable with it. :)

OS, CPU, RAM, GPU, vRAM ... and also disc layout & connections can be useful (as in, "2 internal hard-drives and an external on Thunderbolt connection for exports")
Program specs:
Specific build of Premier Pro from the bottom of the "About" splash screen off the "Help" menu is best.
Footage file type: MXF, AVCHD, MOV, m2s, what?
Even the camera it was shot on can be of interest at times.
And did you use media browser to import, then project panel to drag & drop?

I have Photoshop Elements 9 on an iMac with OS 10.6.8. I bought a new printer/scanner and the program will not import the new scanner to replace the old one. How do I do this?
Thank you for your suggestions. I downloaded a more recent version of Twain, but this didn't help. I also tried closing and opening Photo Shop and restarting my computer without success. Reinstalling Photo Shop sounds like a very promising solution, but I'm not sure I will do it. In the meantime I can scan items using a printer program. These scans open in Photo Shop. It is an extra step.

I have installed Premiere Elements 11 from a disc I bought from Amazon. I keeps asking me to re-install or if it does start stops a few minutes after I start a project. I have a windows 8.1 PC. I have tried numerous times to install the program and also to open it as Administrator as suggested by a friend but it still refuses to work. I need direct help from Adobe but don't know how to get to them on this website as they seem to rely on user forums to advise customers.

My Bluetooth has disappeared and I have tried just about everything on the internet. When I click on Bluetooth file exchange it says hardware not found. I tried resetting everything as well nothing is working for me please help because now my facetime doesn’t work neither does photo booth and now I cannot text people off my laptop unless they have iMessage.
If you followed the instructions in the support article exactly (leaving the machine off for two minutes), then it has a hardware fault. Take it to an Apple Store or other authorized service provider for repair.
