Have you noticed high fan RPMs after installing Quadro 4000 ?

Just after I installed my new Nvidia Quadro 4000 for Mac I noticed that the fans are running at a much higher speed, everything else is working fine though, has anybody else noticed something like this ?, thanks

Do you have ATI 5770 in there also?
I would use SmcFanControl 2.2.2 and boost the fans to get moe air flowing to begin and prevent heat buildup.

Hey have anyone noticed Safari being Slower after Installing LION OSX ?

I purchased the LION OSX as soon as they have launched it and from the day I had Installed this OS , my Safari Browser is not the same ( in comparision with speed ) as in Snow Leopard . I have deleted all the Cache , Reset the Safari many times as instructed by the Apple care to make it much responsive as it used to be . This procedure is a diagnostic test. It won’t solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of this exercise is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account, or is system-wide. Enable guest logins and log in as Guest. For instructions, launch the System Preferences application, select “Help” from the menu bar, and enter “Set up a guest account” (without the quotes) in the search box.
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your personal files or settings. Any application you run will behave as if you were running it for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
As Guest, launch the application(s) and test. Same problem(s)?
After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.

i guess you could put the aiport utility app on your iphone, click on the aiport express there, it will show you how many devices are connected to it and the mac addresses of those devices.

XFI Titanium high dpc latency after installing creative console launcher

HXFI Titanium high dpc latency after installing creative console launcher=im using windows 7 64 bit sp(rtm) this also happens with normal windows 7 64 bit(without sp).
when only installing the driver for the XFI titanium my dpc latency is between 0-50 with spikes that go to 90.
this also happens when I don't have any drivers installed.(windows high definition default driver)
however when I install the creative console launcher my dpc latency is allways above 00 and most of the time between 00-200 with spikes to +-400.
im using PAX PCIe Titanium ALL OS Driver V3.25, and creative console launcher 2.6.49 beta.
my question is can I use game mode without installing the console launcher?
is there a version of the console launcher that doesn't cause higher dpc latency?

Maybe a bad driver mod. Try Creative own drivers/CD first and see what happens.

Have you had high cc usage for a planned expense that lowered your FICO scores?

In a week or so I am initiating some home improvements and repairs. I know the charges to my cc will be way over the ideal limit until I pay it(them) down, but I now have zero interest on several cards so now is the time to do it. Has someone done this and seen their credit scores sink to the bottom of the barrel? I am thinking I should just not look at scores while I am doing these necessary things and just continue paying down the balances until my credit scores recover. How badly did your credit take a hit if you have done this? Was it worth it to you? (I only just got these scores in the last weeks due to utilization and new accounts.) Oh, and what is considered 100% usage? How close to the limit can I go? Thank you for any responses. It still vibrates but no calling sounds or message sounds. It's not on mute and the speakers are working... I can hear music etc.

My Mac have 2x4 (8GB) of ram but after installing Lion os x I can see 2x2 (4GB) or Ram only, I have tried every slot with swaping all the slots.

Friends I have upgraded my SL to Lion after installing I see only 4 GB of ram out of 8 gb (2gb x 4), I have tried all the options changing slots and swaping ram to different slots and card also.

Thanks for your reply... I just downloaded your recomended software, this software test the memory which is in the list of system, which system says these memory slots are availble. but the issue with my system is different. My all ram slot are working well on both memory slot cards, but in actuall I have 4 memory sticks of 2gb each (8gb) which was installed on one card and when I installed Lion OS X it is showing only 4 GB of memory 2 memory sticks are showing only other 2 memory sticks are not showing in machine when we start and see in system information. I replaced 2 memory sticks with other they were also working and I even tried placing all memory sticks on other memory slot card they were also working but only 2 slots are showing... only 2 memory sticks of 2 gb - 4 GB out of 8 GB.

hello i just want to know what happened to the fan rpm on my msi r9-290? it had fan rpm in CCC13.12 but anything above that i don't get it. even with the new full 14.4 drivers still no fan rpm?

Ok one more thing thats going on with the card now. IS after playing a game or video the card (msi R9-290 gaming) gets stuck on its full load settings at full power (977/1250 or 1007/125 at 1.248V) making the card hit about 56c when idle just on the desktop. i have to power off the pc to reset the gpu so it goes back down to 300/150 when idle on desktop. and to top it all off the fans don't go above 18% anymore??. only way to get them to go over 18% is to use MSI afterburner unclick auto on the fans and set it to 100%.
can someone let me know if theres a fix for this please. thank you

Fan Noise after installing security update

I just installed Security Update 2010-001 Client (Leopard), which was released yesterday (1/19/10). Shortly after restarting, my computer's fan began - it is quite noisy. In 9 months of owning this machine, I've never once noticed the fan. Obviously, it is related to the security update: either it brought a malfunction to light, created a malfunction, or changed the software control over the fan. Has anyone else noticed this? Possible resolutions? Thanks.

Hey. The fan noise is really annoying me. Im not really sure what I did or what update was installed but it started a month or two ago and it's loud!
It seems like tilting the macbook affects the noise, like if i tilt it back the noise seems to stop but if I move (if its on my lap) it just seems to keep going!!
Does anyone know anything that can help??

I just replaced the stock ATI card with a PNY Quadro 4000 for Mac.
Via CUDA Preferences, have updated CUDA driver to 4.0.50
GPU driver is 1.6.37.0 (256.02.25f01)
When I try to open any existing Premiere project, Premiere crashes.
This happens whether I'm running the OS X 32-bit kernel or the 64-bit kernel.
If I launch Premiere and create a new project, Premiere seems to run OK. (I haven't yet tried adding any content or working with the content.)
As you can imagine, the only reason I shelled out for the CUDA-capable card was to take advantage of the hardware acceleration in Mercury. So ... not a very satisfying "upgrade" so far.
Any clues?

There are four sequences in all. Two are super-simple, with only one clip in each. A third has only a single clip plus four titles. The main sequence has multiple clips, two stills and three titles plus one extra audio track.
When the crash occurs, there's no error dialog box. What I see is this:
After I double-click the project file -- or open Premiere and choose the project from the splash screen -- the "loading" progress bar appears and seems to complete loading.
Premiere starts to draw the window for its workspace. It creates a solid white rectangle, the wristwatch "wait" icon appears briefly, then Premiere crashes.
