Haven't been able to make/receive calls or texts for a month

I've had no service on my phone for a month now and haven't been able to make or receive calls or texts. I've had my phone (iphone 4) for almost a year now, one day it was fine, the next it wasn't. It literally just happened over night. My sim card works fine in other phones so i know thats not the problem.
After an endless amount of phone calls to O2 and no solution to the problem, I've now been told that my phone isn't reading the sim card properly and my phone needs to be sent to Apple. I'd take it to a store but the nearest one is 45 miles away and I don't drive so it's not very easy to get to. Also, as i bought it from a different website and not from an apple store and don't have any proof of purchase or warranty, would they still be able to fix it for me?
I recently went to Spain and while I was there my phone worked perfectly and I could call and text as usual, but as soon as I got back to the UK it stopped working again which suggests to me that it's nothing to do with my phone, as it was able to read the sim card fine in another country. Would I achieve anything by getting it unlocked and changing to another network?
Has anybody encountered anything like this before or have any solutions to the problem? After a month of this i'm at my wits end!!

I bought the phone on november the 1st 2011 and it has worked perfectly until the end of last month when it started saying 'no service', and no this didn't occur during an update or restore. I don't make many calls or send texts a lot so I don't know when exactly when it did happen but I know it was working on september the 28th and it wasn't on september the 30th, I didnt update, restore or anything. When I bought it, (cant remember exactly where i bought it but it was an online shop), it was sold as being on the O2 network.
I contacted the network and they said they could unlock it, so maybe i'll try it on the Orange network instead as I managed to use that without any problems in Spain.

Thank you for the reply.
You were correct that deleting the app and reinstalling it was the only thing to make it work but unfortunately I lost all the documents I made, even though they were backed up to iCloud before i deleted the app. At the same time as deleting pages I had to delete keynote and numbers too, so I've lost all the documents in them too.
The mb of data which was assigned to each programme in iCloud has reduced, so. I guess they are gone for good. Is there any other way to reaccess them?
Not your fault but I am a bit fed up the the iPad. I have lost work that I've done and have no other copy apart from what was in iCloud, as I don't have a printer and couldn't email them too myself as I couldn't get into the programme and i've also got episodes of tv series I purchased that I can't download and albums that are half downloaded with songs missing, so I feel a bit swindled out of time and money and am going back to DVD , pen and paper and CDs .
Instead of using iCloud I guess the only way to make sure I don't loose any more documents it to email them to myself each time I save them on the iPad. Is there anything else you could suggest please?
I don't have any other apple products apart from iPods, so I can't access the iCloud on anything else can I?

Haven't been able to send/receive iMessages since upgrading from 4s to 6 plus

I bought iphone 6 plus 64G to upgrade from my iPhone 4S. I have not been able to send or receive iMessages to iPhone users in my contacts with my cell number. It always uses my email when I create a new iMessage and is able to send that way. I cannot receive iMessages from iPhones to my cell number. which is a huge problem. I have tried turning iMessages on and off and resetting my network and nothing seems to be working. How can I resolve the problem?

If you turn iMessage off and on, does it activate? If not, then see this troubleshooting support document. If you have difficulty activating FaceTime or iMessage - Apple Support
If it does activate, the go to Send & Receive and see if your phone number is listed there. It should be grayed out and checked.

You can't make a telephone call using an iPad. Are you trying to make a Facetime call?

I can't make/receive calls or text messages, why?*

When I try to open my messages it just comes up as a blank screen, doesn't even say 'Messages' at the top and then it freezes. When I try going into my contacts and try to send a message to someone it comes up as a blank screen as well. People tell me they text my phone but I don't get a notification, I only hear the sound and the text message number goes up (sometimes). I can't receive any calls, and I can't make them. I try to dial in a number and press the call button but the screen doesn't even change. What can I do to fix this? I tried restoring my phone and nothing changed. It tends to always freeze whenever I try to go on to settings for messages. Also it freezes when i double click the home button to try and swipe up all the apps. Like why is this happening?! Also, the top left of my screen seems to be popping out, could that have to do with anything?

You tried restoring the phone. What happened when you did that? Did you restore from backup, or restore as new? If you did not restore as new, try that without putting any content back on the phone and then test for a short period. Did it work? If so, then try putting your backup back onto the device. Does it still work? If not, then something is corrupt in your backup. Restore the device as new again and sync content back manually. If you restore as new and the device does not work, then make an appointment at the Genius Bar of the nearest Apple Store or Authorized Apple Service Provider and have the hardware checked.

Well, regardless, if the device works outside the building, but not inside, that's still a network problem EVEN if others are able to access the network.

Multiple Verizon Customers can't make/receive calls

Me, my wife, and 2 other Verizon customers in our neighborhood are having problems. We can connect to 3g, have good signal for the most part, but we can't make or receive calls or text messages. I, my wife, and one friend all have the 4s, for sure, and I have another friend in the neighborhood (model unknown) who is experiencing the same problem. We can connect to 3g, but can't make/receive calls or texts over CDMA (apparently). I've hit the "Extended" network a few times and made calls. My Verizon signal is and has always been 50%-75% usually, with 100% sometimes. My friend says his daugher's iPhone 4 is working without issues.
When we get away from home, our phones work fine. My biggest concern is safety, since we have no landline at home. It's been this way since I've got home 330 p.m. Friday. Going on 48 hours now.
I would have called customer service, but....

This is a customer-to-customer forum, not Customer Service. Have you tried contacting Customer Service via some else's phone or by going to the local Corporate store? Maybe there's an outage in your area?

Qosmio F750-10N and Win8.1 - haven't been able to get the right BT drivers

Since upgrading my HDD and installing Windows 8(.1), I haven't been able to get the right Bluetooth drivers for my Qosmio F750-10N.
If I go through the download drivers section of the site, the drop down boxes for Language and region seem to be faulty so it won't show me any drivers.
Tried installing a generic Toshiba Bluetooth stack but it doesn't seem to be able to recognise my actual Bluetooth device. Also tried going through the Atheros site without much luck.
Please could someone help or possibly post a link to a download mirror.

First of all it seems that Win 8.1 is not supported for Qosmio F750.
Therefore I could be difficult to get BT working
However, as far as I know the Qosmio F750-10N was equipped with an Atheros AR9285 WLan/BT combo card.
This means that one module shares the WLan and BT and you need to install the Atheros BT Filter driver.
Beside the BT filter installation you have to install the Toshiba System Driver for Win 8.1
This system driver needs to be installed before BT filter driver.
But as I said: Win 8.1 is not supported for this Qosmio unit and you will not find Win 8.1 drivers in the F750 driver download section.
But you should try the drivers released for other, newer Qosmio series; i.e. X870

Go back to the Apple Store and talk to them about it. You can most likely get it fixed by calling your carrier.

Go into compositionReady and have 3 variables you will be able to set them like this
strike1 = 0;
strike2 = 0;
strike3 = 0;
So on the wrong item click have
if(strike1 == 0) {

PLAY STRIKE2 ANIMATION

So this will make it so when the wrong item is clicked each strike will be played in order.

You should look into the Math.Random function to make things random in edge.
This is an example of the Random function. It will generate a random number up to 100.

If on wifi try ethernet. Make sure DNS is set to automatic (settings - general - network). Go to istumbler (Mac) or netstumbler (PC) to get a report of the network, look for signal strength and noise.

Haven't been able to receive any email today

Is the network having trouble today? I haven't been able to receive any email on my iPhone today at all. It just says "checking mail" with the spinning wheel. I can access the internet, phone, and voicemail functions, but no mail. I have regular mac mail (no gmail or yahoo) so I can get my mail on my mac laptop, but not on my phone. Was working fine yesterday...any clues anybody? I did the big update last week and it has been working fine till today...

If you registered your iPhone with Apple using a support profile, try going to https://supportprofile.apple.com/MySupportProfile.do and unregistering it. Also, try changing the password associated with the Apple ID that you were using for iMessage.
