Haven't used icloud yet but if we have multiple devices with multiple contacts can we save each contact list to the cloud separately?
We have four separate iPhones with four separate contact list but one family apple ID. If we back each device up to the cloud using the same apple ID will it keep the lists separate?
You can share the same Apple ID for purchasng form the iTunes and app stores without any problems, but you should all used separate iCloud accounts with separate Apple IDs. (You are not required to use the same ID for iCloud and other services as you do for the iTunes store.) This will prevent you from ending up with merged data. You should also use separate Apple IDs for iMessage and FaceTime or you will end up getting each other's text messages and FaceTime calls.

Yes. However, the output of the iPad's wall charger may be a little less than what it would be if it were an actual iPod wall charger, so it may charge a little bit slower. I'm not 100% positive though.

I am using icloud email but i also have a university account. All my email is fowarded to my icloud account and what i need to do is make sure all of my email that i ship is from my university account and not from my icloud account. I know there is a box that allows the default for all new emails to originate from one account but how do i make sure that all my replies to email (i.e. they have been fowarded from university account to icloud) now go from my university account. please help anyone.
Sorry for the delayed response, yes i want to use my university account when replying to all emails. Note i just discovered something, when i forward my university email to my icloud account and than responded from either my imac of my macbook air (i.e. in icloud) it automatically goes to my university account in the "from" space (good news!!!). That is just what i wanted, . While that is the good news, the bad news is that my iphone and ipad still treat this email as being from icloud even though it is forwarded (redirected) from my university account. That is when i respond to an email (or for that matter create a new email in my icloud account) it automatically lists the icloud account as the "from" account and i have to go in and manually modify it. So i am 50% there to solving my problem (i.e. actually did nothing the systems just worked well) but i still need to figure out a way to make this happen on my ipad and iphone. Any help or suggestions, note the default button in the iphone and ipad for email work differently than the default in the composition menu of the imac or macair.

i cannot backup my iphone4s because no more storage is displayed when the storage statistics shows Total Storage 5GB and Available Storage 5GB - basically i haven't used any memory but i cannot backup! please help. i am only trying to back up my notes and contacts. that's it. and i don't think it will use up 5GB
On your iPhone, go to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup>Manage Storage. There you should be able to see how much of your used storage is allocated to different things (ex., iphone backup, ipad backup, mail). From there you should be able to figure out what is going on.

my wife and I share an iCloud account for photo library and iCloud drive mainly for our family photo management, but we use different accounts for iMessage/facetime/calendar/etc. With Yosemite, I can't use continuity/handoff without dumping the primary photo iCloud account and thus our shared photo system. We are running yosemite OS X 10.10 and iOS 8.0.2... Is there any way to do this?

I don't remember my old iTunes account info but i have a new apple ID for my iphone and ipad. Is there a way to transfer songs from my iPod (old iPod video) onto the new iTunes on my new computer and use my new apple ID to sign into iTunes?

You can't re-download it after it has expired (if that's the case).
You could try to contact support, and you MAY get an exception...

I do not use iCloud and I do not have the 'Find my iPad' app installed. What can I do to find it? Is there another way to bring up a map of where it is?
I dont know the opperating system but I only got it recently...
I also have a mac book pro also without iCloud.Without Find My iPad having been enabled on it then there isn't any way to locate it - and that would only work if it's connected to a network and hasn't been wiped or had Find My iPad disabled on it.
If you think that it was stolen then you should report it to the police. You should also contact your carrier and change your iTunes account password, your email account passwords, and any passwords that you'd stored on websites/emails/notes etc. -
I was able to use the findmyiphone app last week, but now I have been getting an error message "Can't load findmyiphone. There was a problem loading the application." please help as we are trying to locate an ipod with pics of a no deceased loved one.
Had the same problem and the same message -- was suddenly unable to access icloud apps on my pc, also using Windows 7 and Internet Explorer. After several days of pulling my hair out, decided to try a different browser and was able to get in by using Firefox instead of Internet Explorer. Hope this helps.

I lost my iCloud calendar but I do have a recent iPad back up on my computer will my calendar restore form my computer backup to my iPad mini and then can I get that info on my iPhone 6?
Not if you carefully follow the procedure outlined in this user tip from wjosten: Syncing to a "New" Computer or replacing a "crashed" Hard Drive. If you're using iTunes 11 you'll want to first go to iTunes>View>Show Sidebar in order to follow this guide.
Edit: Sorry, didn't notice that you were restoring from the backup of an older phone. Before doing so, connect your phone to your computer without syncing and import your photos, as outlined here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083, to avoid losing them when you restore to this backup. You will lose the app data from your current phone when you restore to the older backup.

I rec'd an alert that my "Apple ID and phone no. are now being used for iCloud on a new iPhone." I am not using iCloud and I don't have a new iPhone. Is this something to worry about?

There are a couple of possibilities that may apply to the email you have received regarding your Apple ID. The first is that the email may be a legitimate warning that your Apple ID has been compromised. For this reason I would suggest that you change the password to your Apple ID as soon as possible. What exactly do you see when trying to buy a game, what messages do you get on-screen ?
If it's an account that you've just created then unless the instructions on this page are followed when creating an account : Create an iTunes Store, App Store, or iBooks Store account without a credit card or other payment method
then credit card details will need to be entered before the account can be used to download any item from the store. You should be able to remove the card after entering its details.
