The best thing to do would be to plug into the power adapter and a wall socket and let it charge for at least an hour. Then try to crank it up. If you haven't used it for a while and the battery did not have a full charge, it may be that a recharge will do the trick.

The only battery in an iMac (if there is one) is used to hold the PRAM. It should last 3-5 years, typically. I would advise against taking the computer to a non-Apple specialist. They not only may not know what to do but also may not have the proper tools. Disassembling an iMac is not a trivial process.
A dead PRAM battery could result in startup issues, loss of video, clock failing to keep time, for example. -

LOST PASSCODE
You should be able to remove the passcode by restoring the device.
Connect the device to the computer with which you normally sync and open iTunes.
Note: If iTunes prompts you to enter the passcode, try another computer that you have synced with. Otherwise, go to "If you have never synced your device with iTunes", below.
Right-click the device in the left column and select Back up.
When the backup is complete, select Restore.
When finished, restore from your most recent backup.

I haven't used my ipad for over 6 months and when I plug it to charge (wall charger) it just doesn't charge anymore : any idea as to what the issue is and what I should do?If the battery has been drained completely dry it will take 20 minutes or more for it to indicate that it is actully charging!

When using my ipad air it keeps coming off the page I'm on or app I am using and going back to the home screen. Also when using my ipad the screen will go white with a black apple icon in the middle for about 20 seconds then it makes a ping sound and goes to the home screen. Could anyone help please. When I am using my IPad, the screen will get dim and I need to tap the screen to get it to brighten up again. This happens repeatedly while I am using it. Is there something I can do to stop that from happening?
You don't necessarily need to set it to never...being set that way, you'll risk depleting the battery in case you forget to lock the screen.
Instead, use a value greater than your previous 2 minute setting...see which time setting would work for you. The settings are:
2 Minutes
5 Minutes
10 Minutes
15 Minutes

I just ran into this. You have to make sure you're using an iPad charger (the bricklet is larger) in a wall outlet. Leave it alone for several hours, then do the reset while it's still plugged in (hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until you see the apple, then let go). It should make a comeback.

The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). I haven't used my Time Capsule in months. I have new wifi and forget my old login. How do I either see what's on it or wipe it clean? I want to make sure that its not making up regularly from my laptop.
Plug in by ethernet .. then you can find the wireless password and access the disk.
If you have no mac with an ethernet port buy the thunderbolt to ethernet.. well worthwhile purchase.
But TC are easy even with wireless.. reset it.. you can do a soft reset.. press in the reset button for 1 sec.. all passwords will go to default for 5min.. you can then access it and change them.. viola done.
You can factory reset it and just do a new clean setup.. you can see what is on the drive and erase it..
Factory reset universal
Power off the TC.. ie pull the power cord or power off at the wall.. wait 10sec.. hold in the reset button.. be gentle.. power on again still holding in reset.. and keep holding it in for another 10sec. You may need some help as it is hard to both hold in reset and apply power. It will show success by rapidly blinking the front led. Release the reset.. and wait a couple of min for the TC to reset and come back with factory settings. If the front LED doesn’t blink rapidly you missed it and simply try again. The reset is fairly fragile in these.. press it so you feel it just click and no more.. I have seen people bend the lever or even break it. I use a toothpick as tool.
N.B. None of your files on the hard disk of the TC are deleted.. this simply clears out the router settings of the TC. -
My Apple iPad 3 is less than 6 months old - purchased in March of 2012. I believe it already needs a new battery. It will not hold a charge for very long andvs very slow in starting up a carge when I plug it in. Please advise - it is very annoying.
Take it to Apple Store. You are covered under your 1 year warranty.

From what I understand your Mac needs to support dual monitors and you need to have 2 video ports available and just get an adapter if needed for the connection between the computer and the monitor. -
