Having a strange issue with Logic, don't know what to do.

Aright, so I'm having a really weird problem with Logic. It all started about 20 minutes ago. I'm working with 12 midi tracks; all logic instruments. Every first Snare midi note plays extra soft and then every midi note after that plays at its correct velocity. Don't know why. I tried deleting the note and pasting a new and that didn't work so I saved and quit. I then took a look in my console and this is what came up:

Why did you put up with all those issues for a year?

  • Macbook Pro, accidentally uninstalled airport card somehow. Reinstalled OS and everythng, appears to be software issue, but I don't know what to do.

Dad's Macbook Pro (10.6.3, from 2010) had perfect wifi, he accidentally uninstalled(?) it somehow, has no idea how he did it.
It said "no airport card installed" when I'd click the little wifi icon on the bar, or go into network settings.
I have wiped hard drive, reinstalled OS, reset SMC and PRAM, to no avail, and now there is no wifi icon at all.
I ran a hardware test (both regular and extensive), and nothing is coming up.
It's like the computer just CAN'T use wifi- I can't select it from any menu, for example:
-in the main "Network" window (under System Pref) it shows only Ethernet and Firewire on the side bar
-when I select the "+" to add a service/interface, only Firewire, Ethernet, Bluetooth DUN, VPN, 6 to 4 and PPPoE appear
-in "Network Setup Assistant" only DSL modem, cable modem, LAN are choices. "AirPort" is there, but is grayed out and cannot be selected.
Airport Untility is still installed, and will open but says unable to find any devices.
And when I ran System Profiler, under Network > AirPort, I have the following
    "Software Versions:
         Menu Extra: 6.2.1
         Configd plug in: 6.2
         System Profiler: 6.0
         Network Preference: 6.2.1
         AirPort Utility: 5.4.2
         IO80211 Family: 3.1"
I simply don't know what to do.  At first I thought I might need a physical "card" replaced, but hardware test says everything is fine, so I feel it must be software, but I wouldn't know what to try besides what I've already tried- I thought reinstalling the OS would do the trick, honestly, but it hasn't. Please help.

System profiler certainly does suppy information of installed hardware. Not sure why you said it doesn't.
If there is no wifi card found in the syetem then the info I outlined would be there.

  • Having some weird issues with logic 8

i am almost Positive! that i pushed some buttons or selected something to mess it up, i would be indebted to anyone who can help me with like three issues i'm having
I run my M-audio mobile pre into logic and am having these issues:
#1. track 1 and two seem to be tied together even though i select mono tracks... so i need to leave track two blank otherwise it interferes with whatever is on track one. and on the bar where i drag the loop i was using it has two O's that make like a vinn diagram symbol.
#2. the volume controll (the bottom left fader one) can increase the Db but not decrease...
#3 through my headphones the signal only comes out the right side. i am inputting my guitar/vox into the right input on the mobile pre, but i thought if the tracks were mono, it wouldn't matter.
please please please help, i need to get recording soon!
    thanks.

i figured out the volume issue, with the weird stereo track, i needed to adjust it on both tracks (even though one was empty haha duh)

  • The gmail and Dell start up page will not show content. it says a conflict with browser. don't know what that means.

I'm unable to find what is wrong or how to fix. I also could not view video on websites as per usual but now that seems to be okay again, whether it was something I did or other mystery.

I don't know if this will work and I know nothing about the BT homehub, but it's worth a shot. Reboot the hub, unplug it for about 30 seconds and then plug it in again. Wait until the hub fully boots ups and then see if the iPad will recognize it.

  • Lock datagrid last row with agregates (don't know what to do next :( )

    Hi,
I have been googling for 2 hours and have been reading some forum posts, etc... but can't get this thing working. It seems an important flaw in datagrid, because I'm sure lota peopple needs this, but I've not found a good solution.
What I need to do is add a row of agregates to a datagrid that contains flat data (it must be last one, and locked, I mean, must not scroll). I have been reading about this:
    http://blogs.adobe.com/aharui/2008/03/flex_3_datagrid_footers.html
But this makes the row separated from the grid, I mean, It is not really a datagrid row. Other problems arise using this implementation like, impossibility to keep last row aligned with datagrid columns when scrolling (I need to scroll because I have lota columns), etc...
So, could anybody please help here to accomplish this? I think it is a pretty common task and it is a bit dissapointing it can't be done easily with flex.
    Thanks in advance,
    Aron.

    I haven't seen this done.
You can add a summary row fairly easily using the Advanced Data Grid:

  • HELP Problem with Website, don't know what to do

I worked on a clients website a while back taking the frame
borders off of her tables in her pages. Now she is saying that alot
of her clients can't open up the site on their browsers. I did this
changing of the borders in CS3. I have Firefox, Internet Explorer,
Opera, Safari on Imac, I opened the pages on a PC and that worked,
and two other Mac computers. This client is saying she is going to
    sue my boss.
I did this work with her sitting right next to me, did I do
something wrong or miss something, or how do I prove that I did
what I was asked and the problems did not arise from that work.
    The site is elizabethtimanifauxart.com
    Please help.
    Thank you,

I think it could be s DNS problem. Did she change her hosting
cie if so then it is a DNS problem.
    Try and do this
1: Get the right error message just saying "that alot of her
clients can't open up the site on their browsers" is not enough
2: start a command line and type
nslookup www.elizabethtimanifauxart.com and mark the adress
of the web site then repeat this step at the faulty customer to see
if they get the same adress if not then there it is.
3: If it is the same try emptying the cache on theses browser
But I agreed with all the post it need more troubleshooting.
PS and Yes it happens a lot that DNS are up updated
adequatly. I have seen it many times.

  • Metronome click issue with Logic 8

    Hello.
I'm having a strange issue with Logic 8 where the first click after hitting play or record is lower in volume than the rest of the clicks and sometimes isn't there at all - every subsequent click sounds fine. I have checked the metronome preferences and made sure the bar click is the same velocity as the beat click. I've double checked my entire configuration to see if there is a problem somewhere and everything seems to be right. I figured this might be just a bug but I wanted to post this to make sure.
Any ideas on how to fix this?
Here is the configuration I'm working with which has all the latest drivers and updates:
Mac Pro 3.2 GHz 8-core Intel
    Mac OS 10.5.2
    14 GB RAM
    Logic Pro 8
    Apogee Ensemble
Trilogy with the Intel wrapper (this might be pertinent)

You need to add more RAM.

  • Strange Issue With QIP 7100 STB and Sony Bravia TV

I am having a strange issue with a 27" Sony Bravia Television connected to a Motorola QIP 7100 HD STB.When viewing a non HD channel the television input number display, resolution display, picture mode display and clock come on and off every few seconds. The issue stops when I tune in to an HD channel. If I return to a non HD channel the issue reappears. I am new to FIOS from Directv where I did not experience this. The television is connected to the STB via HDMI. Everything else seems fine except for picture stuttering that I am getting on all of televisions but I'll save that issue for a separate thread. I tried removing the TV remote to no avail and changing the batteries in both the FIOS and TV remote with no success either. This is a very annoying issue and I feel that it must be caused by the STB. I was wondering if anyone experienced anything similar to this and if they were able to correct the issue. I would greatly appreciate any assistance. Thank you and Happy New Year.

It is possible that your Sony doesn't support the mode the STB is set to for SD (some HDMI TV inputs don't support all formats that the STB can output).
Have you tried going to the STB settings menu and under Video Settings played with the various options for 4:3 override?  This setting controls the STB output for SD and lets you set 480i, 480p, and OFF (also STRETCH at least on some firmware version).  In the OFF setting the STB upconverts your SD to whatever the HD resolution is set for - 1080i or 720p.
    Hope that solves your issue.

  • Strange issue with Spry Accordion Panels

Hi, I'm having some strange issues with the Spry Accordion
    Panels.
    Here is the page:
    http://www.bellaclientcenter.com/browncollege/aboutus.html
For some reason when I preview this message it adds extra
characters to the url above, so just delete those off to see the
    correct url.
The only browser this does NOT happen in is safari, I'm
seeing it all of my other browsers. You'll notice when you first
load up the page, you'll see that the active panel header
background is green, and the non active is a dark grey. But when
you click one of the other panels they all turn a strange neon blue
color. This is very apparent in firefox.
Any thoughts on this? I've attached the spry css code in case
    the problem is there.
    thanks so much!!
    Jeff

That is because your page is currently invalid. And renders in IE quirksmode..

    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd">
So make sure your page is valid, and the animations will go smooth in ie

  • Strange issue with left mouse clicking freezing other inputs on the Mac

I'm having a strange issue with my game. I'm using Flash CS6 and a Mac.
I've got a character that I move around the screen with keys, and you can click the left mouse button to make him throw something. The weird issue is when I click the left mouse button a lot, it seems to stop any other inputs from coming in, so for example, if I hold the right arrow key down while I'm doing a left clicking, and then let go of the right arrow key, the character will keep on moving right for a few seconds, until it finally get's the key_up event and stops.
Even not using any mouse event handlers, so the mouse is doing nothing in the game still causes the key inputs to be delayed just by left clicking, any ideas?
I've just tested the .swf on a PC and there was no problem, the mouse clicking was not causing any issues, so it's something peculiar to the Mac.

    Hi,
This could be an issue if you were using Safari 5.1+ in 64bit mode. This should go away if you run Safari 5.1+ in 32 bit mode. You can change this by
    1. Go to /Applications
    2. Find Safari->RightClick->Get Info->Check 'Open in 32-bit mode' check box.
    3. Relaunch Safari 5.1 again.
    Thanks!

  • I am having major issues with Logic 8 and want to reinstall.

I am having a lot of issues with Logic 8 and want to do a re-install. What is the procedure and what do I need to uninstall first. I need to be careful, because I don't want to affect my Logic 7.
    Any suggestions?

    What problems?
The first thing to do is trash the preferences. As far as affecting Logic 7, once you install 8, 7 is "forgotten" about. I'm assuming your L8 is a real version, not a "borrowed from the interweb" one.

Are you watching this content though iCloud or though from iTunes on your local computer?  If it is from iCloud have you tried downloading the content to iTunes and watching it on ATV from that source to see if it still happens?  This is geerally a much more reliable way to view the content.  Easer to fast forward and rewind too.
    - I have a stable internet connection
    Clearlly you don't
    >(Ive tested on other devices)
Which does not tell you anything about the specific connnection from ATV to iCloud.
    >I am able to stream Netflix problem free from my AppleTV without so much as a hicup
Again which does not tell you anything about the specific connnection from ATV to iCloud.
    >- I am able to download the episodes to my phone, ipad, and computer without any issues
Again which does not tell you anything about the specific connnection from ATV to iCloud.  It does remove your ISP throattly traffice as a possible cause though.  So that is good.
Have you checked your wireless rounter?  Tried doing the factory restor on it?  Upgrading it's firmware?  Is it and or ATV getting extreamly hot when this problme happens?

    HI,
If your old version of iTunes is still working - then I sugest you stick with that.
iTunes 11 is a lousy update - It will not retain your playlists, you can't find and delete duplicates... and a whole arry of oyher issues. (have a look around this forum to see how many issues IT11 gives people)
Just a friendly advise and warning :-)

  • Strange issue with external monitor, only working when external speakers plugged in (using Thunderbolt to VGA adaptor)

Hey – I am having a very strange issue with my external monitor; where it only works if my external speakers are plugged in and connected.
I am using a late 2011 Macbook pro, running Mavericks 10.9.4, along with an MBox 2 (USB Audio Interface), and two powered speakers (KRK Rokit 5). This setup has had no issues. I have just acquired an external monitor (Benq T2200HD), which I am using with a thunderbolt to VGA adaptor (a cheap Chinese knockoff adaptor).
To start - I plugged the monitor in with the thunderbolt adaptor, and it powers up and works fine. However, there is a nasty buzz coming from the speakers. I did some research and it looks like a simple ground loop issue. I did a bit of troubleshooting, and this is where things get weird.
What I found is - If I unplug the MBox, the monitor loses signal from the computer (displaying ‘No Signal Detected!’). Further, if I keep the MBox plugged in, however unplug both the cables from the MBox to the speakers, the monitor loses signal. It doesn’t matter if the speakers are turned off, however they need to be plugged in (or the monitor loses signal). Weirder still, I can unplug the MBox, however the monitor will work if I plug in the speakers through my macs headphone jack.
Simply put, the monitor only works if there is a direct connection between the computer, the speakers, and the power source.  What is going on here? Is the monitor grounding through the computer port, to the speakers (I don’t know how this works, is this possible?). Could it somehow be the cheap VGA adaptor I am using?
    Some other information:
    - Everything is plugged into the same multi-box for power. I have tried plugging things into separate sources, and the result is the same.
    - If I unplug the thunderbolt adaptor, then the speaker noise disappears straight away.
    - The ground noise doesn’t appear in my headphones, which are plugged into the MBox.
Any information would be great – am I missing something here, or is this genuinely weird?

Well, I went back into Best Buy to test on 3 other laptops (2 Asus, and their floor model for this Sony). It seems to be doing the same problem so at least I was able to rule out broken hardware issue on my particular laptop.
Here's what I did to test:
Since I couldn't really install Adobe Premiere on their machines, I used the DVIO software (http://www.carr-engineering.com/dvio.htm) and a 5 min clip I captured.  I transferred onto their machines, hooked up my Sony D8, and attempted to play the video.  It would play for 15 seconds and then stop and jitter with a loud noise (like it does on my laptop).  I even tried changing each machine's firewire driver to the legacy one and same results.  I pulled a brand new 4 pin to 4 pin firewire cable off their shelf and still the same problem.
I think I've nailed it down to Win7x64 bit Home Edition not playing nice with Firewire driver.  Very annoying.  I can't find any concrete evidence of this from other users on any of the forums that have my particular problem, but from my own testing, it's all I can conclude.
I have 2 other things I can try:
    1.  Opening the laptop and looking at the firewire to maybe find appropriate driver (ugh, I don't want to have to open this thing up).
    2.  Upgrading to Win7x64bit Pro and possibly testing with XP on the new MS Virtual PC (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/).  I can't do it with my Home edition apparantly.
Who needs to view video on an external TV anyways....sheeesh...(scarcasm).
    Tim
