Having difficulty viewing pictures in Aperture browser

I have a Sony Cybershot camera and when I import photo into my Aperture, the viewer displays all photos in black. when I split the viewer and select a "black" image, the browser will display the picture but I can only see my pictures one at a time and only when I split the browser. Has anyone else had this issue? Is it an Aperture issue, or a Sony issue, or even a Maverick issue? It's very frustrating that i can't see the pctures I take until I select one in the viewer. If anyone can help me resolve this, I would be most grateful.

Is there an alternative to view Pictures from Aperture "Projects"/Folders

I am considering the purchase of a new ATV to display pictures from my Aperture library on the HD TV.
1)
Is there a way to view the pictures using the full 1080 HD capacity of the TV or will this always be limited to 720 no matter what I do? It is not bad at 720 on a 42 inch screen, but I would like to maximise the resolution especially as we now have a 46" screen. If not, is there an alternative to ATV (to view Aperture Library - don;t want to mess around with exporting etc if I can avoid this).
2) If I connect a HDD to the USB port, can I then Synchronise Aperture pictures to the ATV HDD as I used to with my old ATV (as an option to view pictures and other stuff without the Computer connected)?
Any other words of wisdom? Is the MAC mini an option (without a computer screen - i.e. a replacement for the ATV). If so would it give 1080 through HDMI cable and would it allow the ATV remote to use it and be seen by iTunes as a device to synch with?
(We don't have our old kit anymore in case anyone was wondering)

AppleTV 2 only outputs 720p - whether this is a hardware or software limitation I don't know.
Apple might be able to address this in a future update, but if it was capable overall I think it would have been an option from the start.

No the USB port is for restoring via iTunes only - you can't officially connect a drive to it. AppleTV2 also only has 8GB os solid state storage shared between all functions.
MacMini is certainly capable of outputting 1080p over HDMI. I have last year's model hooked up to a 1080p TV though more often than not the HDMI lead is disconnected in favour of another device and i manage it remotely.
With Home Sharing you could easily transfer content to Mac Mini from another computer running iTunes.
Remote should work with Mini, but not sure what app you'd be controlling for the slideshows or whether they'd respond to the remote.

I'm having trouble viewing pictures on any profiles including my own. All I see are empty boxes and have to click on each one seperatly to see what it is. There are no thumbnails.

When trying to view pictures, as on profiles for example, all I see are empty boxes without any thumbnail picture inside. I have to click on each one blindly and wait for it to load to see what it is. I think it is some kind of setting i did myself and cannot find how to undo.

With the site on display, click on the site identity button (for details on what that is see [https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Site+Identity+Button]) and then on More Information. This will open up the page info dialog.
First select the Permissions panel, make sure that "Load Images" is set to allow (selecting Use Default should also work)
Next select the Media panel, then click on the first item in the list. Use the down arrow key to scroll through the list. If any item has the option "Block images from (domain name)" selected, de-select the option.
This should hopefully resolve your issue, but also see [https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Images+or+animations+do+not+show].
Some add-ons can also block images, for example if you have AdBlock Plus installed, make sure that you have not accidentally created a filter to block the images.

John, iTunes purchased movies are DRMed and can only be played on
iTunes.
To the OP, try downloading and reinstalling iTunes. A couple other
things to try are a PRAM reset or possibily reinstall OSX. It ispossible
there is an issue with Quicktime which is what Apple uses for playing
back their content.
Also, have you tried any other iTunes video content (podcast, etc.) or
and SD format movie/TV show? Do you have the same issue or is it
strictly HD content? Also, is the HD material the 720 or 1080 versions?

Is anyone having difficulty viewing calendar or adding appointments on iPhone 5 after updating to iOS7?

Ever since updating to iOS7 viewing calendar is more awkward, I preferred month view, then could select a date and view appointment list for day below the month. Now, while you can get to that, eventually, it shows half the month, and can't scroll to later dates.
Also, the touchscreen isn't as sensitive sometimes, but not always.

In the new layout when you finally get to the months overview,
you need to swipe up and down to scroll through months.
And I fully agree with you, this new overview in calendar is not very nice or clear.

Since upgrading to Firefox 10 i have been having problems viewing pictures in Yahoo Mail. Anybody else have this problem?

My Yahoo mail was working fine until i upgraded to Firefox 10. Emails that have pictures attached to them don't show the pictures on the bottom of the email like they used too. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Trouble viewing pictures on my

I just got my Zen Version:M about 5 days ago, and ever since then I have been having problems viewing pictures on my player. I know how to transfer them, but the problem is when I click Photos->Pictures it says, "No pictures in this folder." but under Information it says that I have 3 Photos. I have E-mailed Zen and sad to say they have not been of that much help. I have tried updating my firware to .40.02, and all my pictures are in .JPG. My thought is that maybe I deleted a folder the pictures are supposed to go in (like the PSP) when I deleted the stuff in came with. Does anyone else have any other ideas of how to view the pictures on my player?

I'm having trouble viewing PDF forms in a browser

When I go to a business site for a manual and the format is using pdf, after viewing I cannot go back to previous page using the back button or the arrow back. It keeps returning to the pdf manual I was viewing. I have to click the arrow twice or three times to return to back page and sometimes when clicking to many times it return to the beginning page. This has been happening to almost all pdf forms used by businesses or any other websites. Is there something I have tochange in settings?

How frustrating! What web browser are you using? Do you run into the same troubles when viewing PDF files on other browsers? And does the problem only exist with PDF forms--or are you having trouble viewing any PDF files?

After installing, boot holding down CMD+s, then when the prompt shows, type in...
applejack AUTO
Then let it do all 5 of it's things.
Fixes a lot of problems, and besides, if your Mac ever gets to the point it won't Boot... this is a life saver!
After you run that... let's see where we are.

My clients are having difficulty reading PDF contents

When I upload PDF on my site Apple Repair Club - Midtown Manhattan, NY - (800) 521-6181, my clients can not read using Adobe PDF Reader. I am having difficulty in posting web instructions on posts or pages. Now, I'm using plain text posting rather than PDF. The purpose of PDF files directory in posts is that I can manage 100s of them in a single page and this is quite easy to browse and download when necessary. Not being able to view PDF on site pages or posts is an inherited domain or hosting issue or the issue of PDF reader - I'm kind of not sure about it. When I talk to the hosting provider, I'm assured that it should not be the issue at the hosting end. When I upload contents, I can view from Safari 7.1.3, Chrome 41.0.2272.89 and Firefox 36.0.3. I'm a Mac user and have not tested from IE. When clients browse, they are thrown error that the contents are corrupted or not available. I have not investigated clients' browser versions though. Is this because of the non-supported browsers? Or an issue seen somewhere else as well? I didn't find trending concerns on such issues on the forum. Any instructions or advise is highly appreciated.

I was able to subscribe in iTunes and download the episodes perfectly well. However the connection is quite slow. It took over two minute to download each episode - they are only around 8Mb each so it should only have taken a few seconds.
Similarly when I checked the feed in Firefox there was a delay of some seconds before it loaded. My own connection is 100Mb/s so it's not me!
It looks as if the GoDaddy server may be rather slow to respond sometimes - either that or something in the connection from there - and possibly it's sometimes slow enough to time out iTunes.

Unable to View Pictures in Viewer?

I apologize in advance for what is likely a fairly silly question. In 3.1.1, I can't bring many of my photos up in the Viewer. I'll double click an image from the Browser and it defaults to what essentially is the browser with some metadata below each image. The bottom right corner of that browser then says "and 131 more..." (or whatever the number of images in that particular project are). Any and all help appreciated, thanks so much!

Welcome to the user-supported Aperture discussion groups.
So you are able to see a bunch of pictures, but the picture that you want to see is apparently one of those "131 more?"
It sounds like you have all of your photos selected. That view will try to show you all selected images. If it cannot show all selected, it shows you the first several, plus that "and xxx more" message.
Try clicking in between two pictures in the browser. That will deselect everything. Then try your double-click shortcut to the browser. There should be only one picture selected (the one you double-clicked on).

A is the way it should look and B is what happens after I have I opened several tabs. I can get it back to normal if I click on VIEW than click on customize. When the customize window appears FireFox returns to its normal state. I than click on the done box and go back to what I have been doing. I tried resetting FireFox back to default settings, but that did not correct the problem.
