Having "Download" Button/Image to download in OBIEE Dashboard

Hi Experts,
Here is what I want..
In OBIEE Reports we Cllick Download & select its subcategories to download the data in that format (eg. download to excel, pdf, text). Instead of user looking out for the download link in the bottom of the Dashboard & then selecting one of its subcategories, I want to place an image for different downloads.
Just like in any webpages we would have a "Printer" image/gif embedded in the page, clicking on which it will prompt us to print, I want to use such images to download the data.
For Excel download I would place an "Excel" image/icon on top of the dashboard, for PDF download I would place "PDF" image/icon/gif on the dashboard. When the user clicks the appropriate image he should get the "Open, Save, Cancel" window prompt to download the data in that format.
Let me know if we can achieve this in OBIEE. Also pls let me know the javascript to be written & where I have to place the image.

i never really did this, but this can be done by adding to the dashbord the link/image option from the left hand side and linking the you wanted
and also enable download/print/modify options which exists on the section properties.

Make download button show all download instead of only a few downloads.

Just updated from version 25.
Is there a way to make it show all download instead of showing only a few downloads when I click it the download button? Also, is there a way to make it automatically opens the show all download when I download a picture?

No to your second question. about:downloads it the page that show all the downloads.

No download buttons showing on download page

I haven't been able to download QuickTime 7. When I go to http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/win.html, the dark-gray panel on the left-side of the screen is completely blank. I've tried both Netscape 8.1 and IE 6.0 and have the same problem.
I've tried the page with ActiveX enabled & disabled (if that makes any difference), and increased the "trust" settings in Netscape's Security Center.
I was, however, able to download and install QuickTime 6.5.2, but "Update Existing Software" doesn't get me to QT 7. The 6.5.2 version seems to work, but any QT link wants me to download iTunes.
My system:
Windows XP, Media Center Edition, SP2;
with McAfee Virus Scan, Personal Firewall & Privacy Service.

No, that link doesn't give me any buttons either. The left half of the white box is completely empty.
I think I need to double-check my system and see if anything normally installed is missing. (It's a new computer.)

Download Button not working

The Download button on the Download page just reloads the same Download page...
How can I fix this?!

I agree. I don't rely on iCloud as a backup, that is what I have my portable hard drive for. Its 500 GB so I can hold my entire iTunes library several times over on it. I have all my movies on my hard drive, but somehow "The Mist" got deleted off of my hard drive, so I figured "Well, the option to redownload an already purchased movie is available through iCloud, I'll just do that!"
And permissions and download availability have nothing to do with it, the movie's still there, it still allows me to redownload it. The only problem is when I click download, I get that message.
And nobody else uses my computer, but I do have multiple accounts authorized on it. Even still though, I am attepmpting to download it through the account I purchased it under. :/

Is there a way to delete the download button on the lightbox template? My site has my professinal photos and I prefer that even small sized images not be easily accesable to visitors?

In the iWeb templates I use the Darkroom template. Within it there is a download button that appears after a visitors clicks on the slideshow option. Since these images are my professional work and medical related I would prefer that this download option not exist. Is there a way to remove this from the template?

Download Button in WebApp

Hi
I need to place a download button graphic that has a link to a bio in the PDF format, which is different for each web app item. I know how to use the Item Description and place code there, but would rather have a field using a field. The button graphic is the same for all, just there is a different link for each.
Anythoughts?

That works well as it lists the file name, but any suggestions to having that link applied to a typical image placed in the app detail layout.
I tried inserting the tag_ into the <a href="{tag_}"><image></a> but that didn't work.

Downloading Images - FileReference download error 2176

Hi everyone.
I'm trying to download some images but getting this error "Error #2176: Certain actions, such as those that display a pop-up window, may only be invoked upon user interaction, for example by a mouse click or button press."
The trouble is, it IS running off a button click - just indirectly.
I'm trying to design a good architecture for my program, so have the Application, a dataStore and some value objects, for example, a pricebook containing and array of products, each called PricebookVO and ProductVO.
What I'm doing when the application loads is doing a database query with another API that gives me a pricebook and all of its products, and i populate the value objects. Relationship is obviously PricebookVO -< ProductVO. I wanted to download the images for the products at the same time but it won't let me due to the error above, so what I have now is a button bar and when the user clicks a button an event is bubbled up to the Application which changes the page, but what also happens is it checks to see if the user has clicked the Products button and if it has, it tells the PricebookVO to tell each of its ProductVO's to download their image (from a URL that was saved from the query.
Presumably the error im getting now is because the download is not directly summoned by a user event but by an indirect event (ie user pushes button, code calls code which tries to download the file). How can I download the images and still maintain my architecture?
Also, am I getting confused? I want to get a file from a server and save them in an mx.controls.Image on the ProductVO record, do I use the FileReference.Download method or something else? Because on further inspection it looks as though the download method is for downloading something to the local machine with a download dialog box?

Thanks for all your help Peter, its much appreciated. I hate that useless feeling when learning a new language!
So anyway, I was initially using image.source but thought to myself that's probably referencing the image from its server source which might be quite a hog, so wanted to store it myself, but if you say image.source does indeed handle the image itself and not just reference it from the source, thats good.
My only remaining query is regarding how it is displaying. I have a tileList which is rendering the images and it does work, however the images are loading on screen as I watch them, and if I scroll I then have to wait again whilst the images load. If I then scroll back to the previuos part of the screen, where the images had previously already loaded, they have disappeared again and I once again have to wait for them to load.
I know normally you'd embed them, but dont see how thats possible with the way I'm having to load them from the server?
I have a method in my datastore like this:

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar.
Click the Clear Display icon in the toolbar. Then try the action that you're having trouble with again. Select any messages that appear in the Console window. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message (command-V).
When posting a log extract, be selective. In most cases, a few dozen lines are more than enough.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.

Can't download/watch images, videos, files, websites...

Hello,
My problem started 2 days ago when i switched internet (from my parents house to my room close to school).
Immediately these problems occurred:
* Very slow internet (with moments)
* I have to reload websites 3-10 or more times until i can view the full page
* Downloading always stops at 99%
* Images show half at the top, the bottom half is in another color, or moved to the side, blurry ...
* Videos at youtube and other sides only show the black load screen, nothing more.
* When i game, spectate mode always freeze, (when i play not)
These are some possible problems i found, but i couldn't fix them with searching and trying on helpdesks:
* SSL error -> ssl_error_bad_mac_read (on every webbrower (opera, chrome, firefox, IE)
* Java is blocked because firefox says it is unstable or can damage my pc
* I noticed this in my virus scanner (i use F-secure client security) : 24/03/2014 GEN:Variant.Kazy.257837 and on 16/03/2014 Trojan.GenericKD.1595555 , both removed by the virus scanner.
I have tried many ways so solve the problem like:
* Delete Cache, history, add-ons ...
* Reset the modem
* Full computer scan (twice) and no virus, spyware or malware found
* Cleaned the pc with ccleaner
* I have read most of the support mozilla pages to find a solution like checking my ssl- or proxysettings...
* I have changed many things in options and programs (but changed them back when i saw it didn't work)
I also took yesterday my pc to school to check if it would be better with another internet connection, the websites were loading faster (not like before but still better), but the image/video/download problem stayed (school internet = wireless, here with cable)
I searched for info about a virus or trojan horse, but the only problem that was in common was a slow performance, not weird pop-ups or redirected to another site ...
Everything without internet works excellent, so for those programs my pc is still very fast
I hope someone can help me with this, if i forgot something important, i will add it.

If you are using your school's internet, the connection may not be strong enough and may even be turned off during certain times of the day. Your school could also have a slow internet speed.
Please check if all your plugins are up-to-date. To do this, go to the [http://mozilla.com/plugincheck Mozilla Plugin Check site].
Once you're there, the site will check if all your plugins have the latest versions.
If you see plugins in the list that have a yellow ''Update'' button or a red ''Update now'' button, please update these immediately.
To do so, please click each red or yellow button. Then you should see a site that allows you to download the latest version. Double-click the downloaded file to start the installation and follow the steps mentioned in the installation procedure.

I cannot import photos from any device to my iphoto program- the error message statesphotos cannot import because there was a problem downloading an image. I cannot identify the image that is the problem.

What version of iPhoto? Of the OS? what devices are you haveing problems with? can you download teh photos to a desktop folder using image capture (in your applications folder) and import from there - or open with priview from there?

To Upload and Download an image

Hi Experts.
I have a requirement wherein i have to uplaod an image ( for eg: a screenshot of an error ).
Afer uploading i want to show the preview of that image and save the same in the database , so that later on i want to also download that image and show it next to the Text Area.
Any inputs would be helpful.

You need to create transparent table following fields e.g.
Field Name                Data Type
DATA          RAWSTRING
NAME          STRING
TYPE          STRING
Create the context for above mentioned fields and bind the properties of data, filename & mimetype with File Upload & Download UI elements
In WDA use File Upload & File Download UI Elements & Save button for saving the data file.
On Save action update the data base table.
