Having issue searching free text Chinese

Hello,
I have a Coldfusion application using an Oracle backend. I have two development environments, one on a standalone Windows XP
laptop, and another is a Solaris box. I have the same Oracle database on both. However, with my Coldfusion application I can
search in free text Chinese on the Solaris box (Coldfusion is actually running on a Windows server) and find what I am looking for,
but on the standalone Windows XP box I am not finding the data. Search either comes up with something that is not what
I want or empty.
I have language packs installed, etc. I know I support UTF because I am able to display the characters in my browser.
So, what I am asking is what else to look for? Thanks for your help.

Just for sanity, what is the database and national character set of each of your databases?
What is the NLS_LANG set to on the ColdFusion servers?

Right-click on your main iTunes folder and click Properties, then go to the Security tab and click Advanced. If necessary grant your account and system full control to this folder, subfolders and files, then tick the option to replace permissions on child objects which will repair permissions throughout the library. This is the XP dialog but Windows 7 shouldn't be too different.

Im having trouble purchacing free APP's at the moment all of a sudden... any idea's people??

ussually wen i purchace an app it just ask's me for my apple id password then install's the app, now it say;s (please sign in required) then after clicking continue it goes to "payment method/payment type and all my bank details now... sugesting there's something wrong with the detail's in there, this step was never required before now and im unable to install app's now... can someone help me with this issue at all please?????

If you are having issues with free apps, you may want to verify that the billing information you have on files with the iTunes Store is correct and up to date, even if you aren't going to be charged for the apps. You may find the following article helpful:

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
Step 1
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account.
Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. For instructions, launch the System Preferences application, select Help from the menu bar, and enter “Set up guest users” (without the quotes) in the search box. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your personal files or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem?
After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
*Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
Step 2
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode* and log in to the account with the problem. The instructions provided by Apple are as follows:
Shut down your computer, wait 30 seconds, and then hold down the shift key while pressing the power button.
When you see the gray Apple logo, release the shift key.
If you are prompted to log in, type your password, and then hold down the shift key again as you click Log in.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including wireless networking on certain Macs. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
*Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t boot in safe mode.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of steps 1 and 2.

Is anyone having issues with Android version 4.3 for Galaxy III throwing in zeroes into text messages?

I received a message on Christmas Eve that a free update was available for my Samsung Galaxy III. I accepted the download and discovered some enhancements and fixes that I liked (finally, my voicemail icon displays the number of waiting voicemails that I have!) but I've noticed to glaring issues:
1. When I send text messages that include numbers (a phone number for example) the OS throws in random zeroes into the number. I have to usually touch the ENTER key and type the number on a new line and play around with it until the number stays in the message correctly.
2. I've had occasional lockups using the media hub which, when I do a restart, causes my settings to revert to the default factory settings....kind of a pain.
There may be other issues.
Q. Has anyone out there experienced this same thing?
Q. Is Google going to fix these issues? I noticed that on Christmas day a half dozen or so updates were made, but these to things still are a problem.
Q. Also, the Verizon Wireless Software Upgrade Assistant on my laptop insists that my version is not supported. I can still access photos and music, but it's a little annoying...

I'm sorry you're having issues with your phone after your update BigLouie1124. I recommend enabling safe mode to see if any of your apps are causing issues with your new software. Wifi: my Cell phone will remember 10 wifi connections. So delete any you don't use often and your home wifi and try to enter home wifi again.
if it still won't connect to home wifi, call your internet provider for help. You may need a newer router or different settings Or upgraded service. Your phone seeks the best connection and will refuse lesser connections.
last resort. Backup the phone. Do a full reset, then restore as new with the backup.
if still not fixed, go back to apple and insist on repair or replacement.
HOWEVER. voicemail is not a wifi issue, it's a carrier function, which is why the SIM card is a suspect.

All I can suggest is that you open that file on the MBA and save it as a new file, then see if you can open the new one on the iMac.

Hi, I am having issues downloading the free trial of Photoshop. I get the errors below occurring whenever I try and download. I have managed to download lightroom without any issues but was wanting to try them both out to then look at purchasing the monthly option. However would be a bit difficult if I can't download Photoshop! Any advice much appreciated.

Rebeccafield2012 from the error you posted it would appear that the Microsoft Visual C ++ 2012 Redistributable Package (x64) component of your operating system is damaged. I would recommend that you reinstall the most recent Redistributable from Latest Supported Visual C++ Downloads - Microsoft Support.

Free Text Search

We have an app that allows user to maintain a table of z-master data.
One of the fields provides the customer the opportunity to write notes into a type string field.
This is free text entry.
We would like to be able to search the table based on this field in a user-friendly and casual manor.
Think eBay or craigslist type searches.

     (accord,civic)
    "NC" | "SC" | "VA" | "GA"
I'm hoping there might be a fuction module, class/method, search help already set up
The key is it needs to be user-friendly and somewhat intuitive

Wht exactly do you want Mr.Mike...are you expecting the Table Output to be like text-editor so user can enter what he want??
That can CL_GUI classes(From ABAP report we can create not sure your table can do this for you)
and what this search functionality...............Do you have knowledge of SAP netweaver In portal you can achieve this easily i Believe???

SQL Server Free Text Search with multiple search words inside a stored procedure

I am trying to do a free text search. basically the search string is being sent to a stored procedure where it executes the free text search and returns the result.
If I search for red
flag, I want to return the results that matches both red and flag text.
Below is the query I use to return the results.
select * from customer where FREETEXT (*, '"RED" and "flag"')
This doesn't give me the desired result. Instead this one give the desired result.
select * from customer where FREETEXT (*, 'RED') AND FREETEXT (, 'FLAG')
My problem is since it's inside a stored procedure, I will not be able to create the second query where clause. I thought both query should return the same result. Am I doing something wrong here?

My Quad is as quiet with 10.4.5 as it was on arrival Jan 31, with 10.4.2
Altivec Fractal Carbon gives the CPU too much chance to cool down. I've got other ways to drive the CPU to sustained 100% load. Yes, the fans speed up, but it's still pretty quiet. I've run it at 100% for hours.
I like the idea of taking things gradually. If you can wait a few days before making big changes, it can make things much easier. 3-4 weeks is very conservative, but great if you have that much patience.
My Quad has been up full-time since I got it. Works perfectly.
