Having Issues with E1000 as an Access Point setup - Please Help
Quick background - Using an E2000 as my main router for a DSL connection (using an ISP provided Zyxel 660HW modem with wireless disabled if that matters). I have an E1000 that I want to setup as a LAN to LAN connection to the E2000 at the far end of the house and two floors down to extend my network.
I am pretty network saavy and thought this would be a snap. But I am running into trouble and hoping someone can assist.
Here are the steps I took:
1. I ran a CAT 5 connection down to the basement where the E1000 is to be setup.
2. I hard reset the E1000 to factory defaults
3. I connected my notebook to the E1000 via a LAN port. At this stage the E1000 is NOT on the network
4. I configured the E1000 with an IP of 192.168.1.2 - my main router (E2000) is set to 192.168.1.1 and the IP ranges start at .100 so this should present no conflicts
5. I disabled DHCP
6. I disabled NAT
7. I saved settings and rebooted router
8. I removed connection to notebook and plugged in the CAT 5 run from the E2000 - LAN port 1 on both (no WAN/Internet port used)
At this stage I expected the E1000 to act as an Access Point but it is not functioning properly. The first thing I notice is that the E1000 that should now be the AP is broadcasting the router name (something like Cisco 54653) even though this is not a broadcast SSID but only the router name. That is odd, I believe.
I have tried rebooting both the E2000 and E1000 along with the modem, no luck. I have tried different IPs for the E1000 just in case but again no luck, the wireless is not extended.
Any advice or guidance? Am I doing something wrong?

It sounds like you have configured the E1000 properly, but you didn't describe how you have configured the Zyxel and E2000.
Do you have A or B ?
A. Zyxel set to full bridge mode. Then connect Zyxel to E2000's internet port and configure E2000 for PPPoE internet connection type (and DHCP server enabled and NAT enabled). Change MTU to manual on E2000 and enter 1492. And then connect your E1000 as you described. Internet connection type on E1000 is AutoconfigDHCP.
B. Zyxel is configured as modem/router (DHCP server enabled and NAT enabled). Then connect Zyxel to E2000's internet port. E2000 is configured as router (DHCP server is enabled and NAT is enabled) and local IP address is 192.168.2.1. Internet connection type on E2000 would be AutoconfigDHCP. E1000 is configured as you described except local ip address is 192.168.2.2. Internet connection type on E1000 is AutoconfigDHCP.

Having issues with WRT350n - "No internet Access"
I am having issues with the WRT350n where I am getting an "No internet access" message. When I look at the wireless network connection I can see the wireless router and it says "connected" but when I scroll my mouse over the icon, it reads "No internet access". I try to access a webpage and it will not work. I originally had it connected and working properly in my home. However, I removed it and tried connecting in my office and started experiencing this problem. I did not run the setup using the CD provided. I just unplugged it from my home network and reconnected it to my office network, of course with a few passphrase changes and wireless MAC filters only allowing certain PC's to be able to access the internet. I double checked all MAC addresses of each device that I entered into the table and they are correct. All devices see the wireless network but cannot access the internet. Any suggestions? Should I re-run the installation using the CD?
A router once it is powered on it will always broadcast a wifi signal and will allow you to connect to the network with or without the internet connection. Once of the best way to know if the router is working ok, wire a computer directly to the router with a cable and check if you are able to go online that way. if it is working then better check that wireless mac filter, disable it first, then see if the internet will go thru. If wired to the router it is not working, then better run that setup cd again.

Started having issues with accessing camera raw from bridge. I have CS6 and LR5. Should I attempt to uninstall CS6 and reinstall. I have backup on external hard drive for my photos but will I need to reimport photos after uninstall? Some of the forums are suggesting that my program might be corrupt. Can anyone assist?

I'm having issues with oracle ODBC and access 2007

I'm having an issue with using an ODBC connection with a pass-through query in access 2007. I have Oracle 9i installed and am on Windows 7 32 bit. This only seems to be effecting Windows 7 users and not XP users.

Ok I am having issues with my HP Enby 100 D410. Need help setting up eprint, and keeping connected.
I opened up my printer, set it up, connected. But I cant seem to keep connected. I have an eprint email address set up, but the printer reset and now wants me to set up an new eprint using a different code. How do I get the [email protected] email back. It says "someone already has address..." duh, that's me..! This printer has been more than frustrating. HP support says open 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. But when I call, they are closed and only open during certain days and hours... why advertise differently? I also cannot seem to get my printer to align the printer cart.. stops halfway. Need this to test scanner. Anyone with helpful advice?

Sorry to hear you're having a problem with your Envy and ePrint! Let me see if i can address the issues you brought up here. HP support for printers is 24x7, if you are receiving a message otherwise you may be dialing the wrong number or selecting the wrong options through the prompts.
As for the ePrint issue you're having, if the printer's Web services has somehow been reset and the printer gave you a new code to setup ePrint with, unfortunately that address is not available again for 6 months. Make sure you don't turn web services off and then back on unless necessary as this will reset the email address.
If your printer is having alignment issues though, it is very possible that there is a hardware problem with the printer. Try following this document. If you are still having trouble with the alignment then you will want to call support at 1-800-hpinvent.

Mission Control/ Expose issue with stacked pages hard to view. Please help
Is it just me or is there a real issue with the way Mission Control/ Expose displays these stacked windows? For instance, I had about 6 finder windows open, showing 6 different folders on my Desktop. If I then use Mission Control to quickly access a particular folder, it displays all my finder windows together, stacked up on one another and this makes it almost impossible to view which particular folder i want. It doesnt have the folder names displayed so this is seriuosly time consuming now. Is this something im doing wrong, or is it a valid issue?
many thanksIf you are just trying to see all the Finder windows which are available, just invoke App expose. I use a 4 finger swipe down. If you are in finder, just swipe. If you are in another application, hover your mouse over the Finder icon in the dock and swipe. All the windows are easy to see.
(You can, of course, do this with any application, not just the Finder.)

I had to disable dhcp on them because they are on a wired subnet where I am using the static IPs and don't want my wired clients to get DHCP addresses, nor someone to be able to plug the wire into own laptop and get on the network.
It's been working fine with one exception - I need to be able to ping my access points from the central site, and I can't.
What IOS command would enable ICMP echo on my access points in this case?

I have found a solution that works in other browsers, but not in IE. Well basicly it works, but after a few clicks IE freezes.

Having issues with two-finger swipe and hot corners. Help!
I've lately been having an issue, where my two finger swipe will stop working. I also notice that 3 of my 4 hot corners no longer work, either. The only one that works is the top left. When I restart my computer, or change users, etc, it's fixed for a while, but then the problem will start up again in about an hour.
I've tried the Software Update, and it seems everything is up to date. Any solutions?? I spent a good deal of money on this iMac, and I'm concerned there's something wrong with it.

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled in OS X 10.9 or earlier, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually login automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test. -

CS5 was written LONG before Yosemite was available, and CS5 is no longer updated... have you told Apple that their new operating system breaks your old program?

Having trouble with reading hex from an input file - please help
Hi, I have a txt file with rows of hex, and I need to read each line and add it to an int array. So far I have:

94000000The above code crashes on the third input (my guess is becuase there are letters in and it can't parseInt letters.
I think I need to parse it into an array of chars instead, however I don't know how to get from the string (temp) to the char array.
can anyone help?ok turns out it's just a null pointer exception on the data[count] line, becuase I've only initialised the first two slots of data. i didn't see it before becase it was just throwing an error and i never printed it out.
here's how I've defined data:

Strange issue with table control in dialog programming! Please help!

I have a table control on screen painter and I have atleast 10 rows on display when user calls the screen. If I have 15 columns then ofcourse user has to scroll down to see extra rows. I have line selection set to "single" for table control so that user can select only one row at a time. This works fine when user does not have to scroll to see extra rows. It is tough for me to explain i.e., if the table control displays 10 rows when the screen opens up then they can only select single row at a time (rows 1 -10). For example user selected row 7 and now they scroll down to see extra rows (for example 13) then it lets them select row 13 also even though I set line selection to "single" in the properties for table control! They should be able to select only one row at a time. Is this some limitation with table control in SAP? Please give me any information you have.

As you suspected, this is a limitation in the table control. You need to take care of the single-selection functionality yourself except for the rows that are actually being displayed. See [Note 588284|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/588284] for the official SAP explanation.

Issue with decreasing startup time of Air Application(Please Help)
If someone knew the answer to this it would really help me. I put a large directory into my source folder that was pulling up HTML files through a mx:html. I added a creationComplete function so a the user would fill out a registration form before they start using the application. When I run the application from Flex it runs fine but when I export the application and turn it into a .air file and install it on a computer, the application seems to be scanning the entire directory(the src folder) the application is in, including the large sub-directory housing the HTML files, before the application starts. I don't know if its the creationComplete fuction or something else, but my application did not do this before but know its doing it now. There is no need to scan the entire folder before the application starts. Does anyone know what function would be scanning the source folder before opening the application? Is it the creationComplete function? Do I have any other alternatives besides for creationComplete that will not scan the entire folder at application startup, or is there anyway to exclude a specific subdiretory (in the src folder) at startup so the a application will not scan the entire folder before opening, or should I put the creationComplete function in a separate directory.
