Having just upgraded to Firefox 4.0, I find that when I print emails in Gmail they have gray background. How do I restore a white background?

The same is true when I print in Evernote, though not when I print my Google calendar. Any suggestions?

Browse to about:config and search for "browser.display.background_color". In my version of FF4, that was set to #C0C0C0 for some reason (when it should have been #FFFFFF)
To get there type: "about:config" in the address bar and search for "browser.display.background_color" then change to #FFFFFF

I have just upgraded to Lion and I now find that my VPN network does not work properly. It worked fine with Leopard.

The VPN is My Private Network and we use it to link to BBC iPlayer when abroad. It will actually connect to the VPN site and shows a UK IP address, but then when we try to load an iPlayer programme we get the message from the BBC that we are not in the country and, therefore, cannot access the site. Any suggestions?

"mouse middle-click button" (I have a wheel)
"Global default" I don't know what that is, so, apparently, it doesn't apply to me.

Flash player works. I can see finance charts in IE, but not Firefox 10. I can see finance charts on Yahoo in Firefox, but not Google finance charts. Main chart at google.com/finance is displayed. If there are problems with importing the IE Favorites in Firefox then export the favorites in IE to an HTML file and import that file in the Firefox Bookmarks Manager.
If you do not have the menu bar in IE then right-click the toolbar at the top to enable the Menu Bar.

Just upgraded to Firefox 4 and important Norton toolbar is missing - how do I get it back?

I've only just upgraded to Firefox 4 today (30.4.11) and when it had installed and restarted, my Norton toolbar was missing. A message from Firefox did come up - something to do with some items not compatible with version 4 but I can't remember all that it said. I haven't had this problem with any of the other versions of Firefox. This is an important toolbar as it concerns identity protection, safe web searching.

In Firefox 23 versions and later the keyword.URL pref is no longer supported and it is no longer possible to specify the search engine for the location bar via the keyword.URL pref. 
The search engine that is used on the location bar and on the about:home page is the search engine that is selected in the search Bar on the Navigation Toolbar. 
Current Firefox versions do not update the about:home home page until you refresh the page (future versions will do this automatically without a refresh) and that is what happens if you use the Back key.
You can install the Keyword Search extension to specify with search engine to use for the location bar and which search engine to use for the about:home page via the Options/Preferences windows of this extension, accessible via the about:addons page.

I just upgraded from Firefox 3.6 to 4. There used to be a secure site icon at bottom right of secure pages. Clicking on the icon opened a window with all security info for that page. Now there is no icon. To get the same info I now have to click on the button in the address bar and then click again on the "more information" button. This is not intuitive and seems like a step backward. Is there a way to bring back the old secure site icon?
