Having lost my original FF 3.6 program (failed download of FF 4), I was unable to download a replacement version 3.6 -- still without FF!
Like several other owners of pre-Intel Macs, I attempted to download FF 4 and lost my prior version (FF 3.6) in the process. Following advice from the user forum, I downloaded the earlier version (3.6.16), but my Mac is unable to recognize the downloaded program.

I saved all of my graduate school ppts to idisk- mobileme, on my macbook. I was unable to download Lion with this computer. I have now lost all my ppts. Is there anyway these can be retrieved now?

They've been deleted since the end of iDisk and Mobile Me.
Only last hope is if you had turned on synching to create a "local" iDisk folder on your machine. -
I lost my iPhone and so put it on lost mode. There I changed the password. Found it yesterday but was unable to unlock it. It is set on my apple id and everything.
Find My iPhone only keeps a history of locations after you put it in lost mode. It also has to be online to provide an updated location.

I have a 64-bit Windows 7 Home Premium PC. I recently had to reinstall my PC. I'm trying to install my Adobe Products like Flash Professional CS5 and Photoshop CS5, but it keeps coming up with the message "Failed to initialize. File not found. Please download Adobe Support Advisor to detect the problem." I keep looking around at different sites, but they seem so difficult and so much information which leaves me so confused. I have no idea how or why this has happened, and due to my autism it leaves me very panicky.
I've tried the Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool. Here are the results.

Having lost my original CD, can I download PS7 and activate with my original security code?
Apologies for the stupid question, but I accidently deleted my copy of Photoshop 7 and can't find the original disk, although I do still have it's packaging, which has the activation code.
Is it possible to download it from anywhere and activate it with the same code (which must now be over 10 years old!).
Thanks in advance for any advice...I don't know of any download available for PS7. Chances are you would not be able to activate it anyways for lack of an activation server to support it.

I have photoshop 7 on my pc but have lost my original disk.... I went to update it and the update is not seeing the file on my pc... and it keeps asking for my disk.. but i can't find it...
How can i update it...Ah, you had Photoshop 7.0 working, and now it's not. I see that as a separate issue to updating it. I'm not sure why it would ask you to update it.
Do you know whether you have 7.0 or 7.0.1 at this point? You might be able to do a Properties function on Photoshp.exe and see that info.
You could make an attempt to reset Photoshop's preferences to defaults. Press and hold Control - Shift - Alt simultaneously immediately upon cold-starting Photoshop. If you get the keys down quickly enough - and you have to be really quick - it will prompt you to confirm deletion of your current preferences, which will lead to the establishment of a fresh default set. If it does not prompt you, you haven't been quick enough to get the keys down.
Only other thing that comes to mind is to use Windows System Restore to restore back to a restore point where Photoshop was working, or restore from a backup (you do make backups I hope).
If that fails, and you need to do a fresh install but no longer have the original disk and serial number I'm afraid you may be out of luck. There's no place I know of from which to download a fresh full copy of Photoshop 7.0.

I have misplaced my original OS X (Tiger 10.4) install disks that came with my Power Mac G5. Now I'm having a "kernel panic" where this gray window pops up and freezes the computer, and asks me to restart by pressing the power button.
I've been researching online and I'm hearing I need to do a reinstall.
Two problems:
1) As I said I've lost my original OS disks
2) Working on several Final Cut Pro projects and don't want to do a complete wipe and reinstall.
Questions:
1) If I go and buy a new Mac OS X v.10.4, can I install that WITHOUT losing any programs or data?
2) Will the newly purchased OS X hurt my administrator name and password?
3) Would just upgrading to Leopard put my current projects in danger?
Answers to all questions would be greatly appreciated. Really need help on this.

I had the same problem. I had misplaced the serial number for 1.5 and I needed it to reinstall the Aperture 3 upgrade. In addition, I no longer had the disc image for Aperture 3.
Originally, I downloaded the trial of Aperture 3 as an upgrade and then paid for it. This was before it went to the Mac App Store. I had previously bought the hard copy of Aperture 1.5 and then the hard copy upgrade to 2.0.
This is a testament to buying direct from Apple. With a little proof that I indeed bought the product from them, they provided me with a working serial number. I bought Aperture 1.5 from the Apple Store, Soho in New York, and when the transaction was complete I got an email of the receipt. That receipt number is what entitled me to receive this support from Apple. They sent me a link to the disk image for Aperture 3.1, from which I installed Aperture on a fresh hard disk, and then they sent me a working serial number for 1.5, which allowed me to complete the installation. Afterward, I opened Software Update and updated to Aperture 3.2.3. Done!

Hi, I seem to have lost my original images and unwanted images have moved into my library. I couldn't access lightroom as I would normally and was provided with a default option which I clicked. This all occured while I was trying to free up space on my computer while viewing saved images on my hard drive, which are linked up directly to a photoshop elements program. Please tell me this can be fixed.....

I don't believe I did move or delete my catalogue. Where can I look for my catalog file. Why does my Lightroon now contain more images and ones I don't want on it, without my physically importing them?

While having a perfectly running iTunes and all programs associated, I was notified of the iTunes 10.4 upgrade. After following typical directions, I have had nothing but trouble. First “iTunesHelper was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes. Error 7 (Windows error 5)” occurred. Following directions found at https://discussions.apple.com/message/15087646#15087646, I now get the following “iTunes.exe - System Error The program can't start because AVFoundationCF.dll is still missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.”, Along with “iTunesHelper was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes. Error 7 (Windows error 126)” I am running Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit on HP TouchSmart tx2-1275dx. I was one week away from buying an iPad but not if this is what I have to deal with. Please help
I actually managed to resolve this on my own by downloading iTunes from the Apple website and reinstalling iTunes that way. Here's the link: http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ That should fix your problem. Good luck!

I have lost the original remote for my Apple TV. I went to install it at my fiancés house, and cannot use the remote app on my ipad or iPhone. Can I still control the Apple TV with the apps?

Your Apple TV may have become paired with another remote. Hold the remote close to and pointed at the Apple TV, hold down the menu and Rewind buttons together for 6 seconds or until you see a broken chain icon on screen. -
I lost the original USB cord that came with my phone. I don't have enough available space on my phone to update wirelessly either and no matter how much I delete I still can't seem to free up enough space to update. I don't know what to do? My phone won't connect to any iTunes.
You have two options at this point.
Option 1
1) Buy another cord and attach to itunes (applestore will have them or you can order them online).
2) Find another cord to use.
Option 2
1) Connect your device to a wifi connection and plug device into a power source.
2) Backup your device in icloud using: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1766.
3) Erase all content and settings.
4) Setup as a new iphone (and do not restore from backup).
5) Your phone should now be completely blank.
6) software update over wifi.
7) Setup your phone and restore from icloud backup.
8) Gratz your running the latest version.
