Having problem getting the student deals email for Microsoft Office. Please help.
I tried to sign up for the college deals to receive a student discount on Microsoft Office Mac 2011. I was told to buy it now full price, go home, & wait for Best Buy to email the code and I could bring it in & they'd refund the difference. Was assured that a code existed. Found out my school offers it for 50% less than you charge but I can't return it. Your staff is hilariously unaware of how to deliver answers or results that right this situation. Please fix this situation. We're talking about a 50% difference here and I was simply doing as instructed by the brick and mortar folks as well as the phone 'support'.

Reset Password starting from Recovery HD
Start the computer,then press and hold down command and R keys to start into recovery partition.
When you see the Apple logo, release the keys.
Wait until OS X Utilities window shows up.
Move the mouse to the menubar at the top and click "Utilities", then select "Terminal"
from the drop down.
Terminal window will appear.
Type in resetpassword and press enter on the keyboard.
Leave the Terminal window open.
Reset Password Utility window will open with Macintosh HD selected.
Select the user account from the popup menu box.
Enter a new password.
Reenter the new password for the user.
Enter a hint.
Click the "Save" button.
Click in the menubar and select Restart.
Log in.
If Keychain dialog box appears, select “Create New Keychain”. -
I am trying to connect my Sony DCR-TRV350 to iMovie so that I can make DVD's from family videos. I am having problems getting the video camera connected. Any advice on how to do this?
What happens when, after you connect your cam, you go to File > Import Media?
But before that, does your cam require you to export your video files upon USB connection? I have a JVC Everio HD and I have to "Export to Library" from the cam's menu first-thing. This was true even in prior iMovie versions. -

I purchased an audiobook in Nov 2012 using iPhone 4S and then upgraded to iPhone 5 in Dec. Now I am not seeing the audio book in purchase history in iTunes. This means I am not able to get the book in my new iPhone. Please help.
Audiobooks are currently a one-time only download from the store. When I installed the recent updates for Microsoft Office 2011 for Mac, my iCal calendar was wiped out, as was the calendar on my iPhone. I'd rather use iCal than Office and was attempting to phase Office out altogether. Now, all of my information is on the Office calendar but not iCal. The iCloud version of my iCal calendar is not up to date. In any event, I couldn't figure out how to send that info to the iCal on my mac or my phone. How can I sync my Office calendar info to iCal? If that's not possible, how can I get my Office calendar to sync with my iPhone? All of my sync services are set up in iTunes and on my phone. This happened to me once before and I spent hours on the phone with Apple and on the web trying to work it out. I NEED MY CALENDAR!!!! PLEASE HELP!!!!!

The other concern I have is that Office 2011 requires an Intel-based Mac and you posted in the older iMac (pre-Intel or "PPC") forums. If you have an Intel-based iMac (Apple menu > About this Mac..." will say "Intel" if you do) then I think you'll get faster and more accurate ansers to other questiosn in the Apple forums for newer iMacs here:

Templates are just that, not the software itself. You need to contact MicroSoft online to purchase, or buy a DVD to install from...be sure to get MS Office 2011 to install with Lion or Mountain Lion, older versions than 2008 will not work.

How can I reset my password if I never get the "forgot password" email for my iCloud account?
After upgrading to iOS7, my phone keeps bugging me to sign into my iCloud account when I can't remember my password. When I choose to resolve this, I never get the confirmation email back to reset my password and I've tried on my phone and on iCloud to reset my password but I never get the email to do so. Thus, I can't sign in and the pop-up asking me to sign in keeps popping up, it's driving me crazy! Has this happened to anyone and did you have to call technical support for this or did you find a work around?

The college deals page is currently unavailable until December 7th. The coupon valid dates are 11/2-11/19 and 12/7-1/3 so they do not apply to Black Friday or Cyber Week sales.

I downloaded 5 and I had 3.6. Every time I go to open a new tab I get the message "No Response". This will go on for maybe 2 minutes and then it will open. I am using Windows 7. I had this same with 3.6

Like all across the top there are all of these icons for aaddons (I guess they are) and I recognize stumble and some others but what is delicious, digg, reddit? I already have two iPhones and an iPod touch, and a Mac set up on my iTunes account. The iPod and Mac each have their own gmail account they use to recieve iMessages (one of them is my Apple ID). The two iPhones each have their own phone number they recieve iMessages from. I now want to set up an iPad on that same iTunes account with iMessage with a third gmail adress to use. When I try to set up iMessage, I am shown the two gmails and phone numbers from my other devices but no option to add another email like all the tutorials say. Is there a limit of 2 emails or something? There is no way I am making a new Apple ID just for iMessage. I tried to look for the option in Messages and Settings. Please tell me if there is a way I can add a third email.

I'm using a GridBagLayout to position several JLabels, JTextFields and JButtons...with the JLabels and it's respective JTextFields side by side and the JButtons at the bottom in a straight column.
Thing is, no matter how I change the GridBagConstraints, the whole thing will still spread out to cover all the space available which is not what I want...is there a way to go about this using GridBagLayout??
I've read about how you use the GridBagLayout in the Java doc but still unsure how the weightx and weighty works...suspect they might be the key to getting the result I want but so far no luck....
